Dr. Christopher Ingard Ellingson

Dr Ellingson is swift, and concise in his delivery. I have had a right hip arthroscopy and hip labrum repair. This year I am looking at having it on the left. The right was such a success that I am actually looking forward to having my other side done. He excels at what he does, and I thank God Almighty for gifting him with his abilities.

Professional, honest and know what he is doing.

Everyone at OrthoVa was very nice and understanding of my problem. Dr. Ellingson listened to my issues and took the time explaining my path to wellness.

Attentive to detail, caring, takes time to explain, treats both me and my mother and we are super pleased.

Had a great appointment with Dr. Ellingson. Found him extremely helpful and caring for my diagnosis and for making sure I was informed wrt the plan to care for me.

I met with Dr.Ellingson for a second opinion on a shoulder injury.He was very polite, professional and he took the time to explain what he found and what his plan for treatment would be.I would highly recommend him for your Ortho concerns.

Scheduled an appointment with Dr Ellingson concerning knee pain I was having. Was able to schedule the appointment easily and was seen 3 days later. X-rays were taken then viewed by Dr Ellingson prior to meeting him. Virtually no wait between X-ray and exam. Dr was very personable and listened to my symptoms and answered all questions. I found him to be professional with a welcoming personality. I have already scheduled a follow up with after my MRI.

He is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner.

I’ve been to several Orthopedists and have not had the professionalism, care, and concern I receive from Dr. Ellingson and the entire staff at OrthoVirginia. I get shots in my knee regularly and, as I’ve told him each time, he always hits the “sweet spot”. Shots I’ve gotten elsewhere rarely last more than a week. I get months of pain relief when I get mine from Dr. Ellingson. The office runs very efficiently, which is always a plus. Everyone at OrthoVa was very nice and understanding of my problem. Dr. Ellingson listened to my issues and took the time explaining my path to wellness.

Christopher was so patient and kind with my 89-year-old mom. Explained everything professionally so that she could understand. He’s an amazing doctor we are so blessed to have him taken care of my mom.

Dr. Ellingson was great. Very informative, reassuring and took the time to help me understand the options in front of me.

I was very impressed with how quickly I was scheduled to come in...the very next day from when I called. All other facilities were at week out at earliest. I was in and out from my appt. In an hour with xrays...boot fitting...etc. They got me seen immediatly with virtually no wait time. The doctor and staff were great.

Both visits have been very positive. Dr. Ellingson listens carefully, snswers questions, and explains recommendations very well.

Dr Lambert referred me to see Dr Ellingson for my Right Hip issue. I right away felt his trust and that he was very concern w/my problems. We did all the necessary testing unfortunately I did have to have surgery in which he was fantastic and especially was there when I need him to be. Dr. Ellington is an exceptional and very professional orthopedic. I am so glad that I chose him to evaluate the problem that I had with my left shoulder for many years. I told him that I am extremely scared of needles and not a fan of cortisone injections. He was able to make a quick injection without me realizing it. I did feel it right after he quickly injected the needle into my shoulder. A few days later, my shoulder feels much better, almost as good as it used to be, and I am now able to sleep without feeling the pain on my shoulder. Dr Ellingson is so nice and has a great bedside manner. He is thorough and doesn't make you feel rushed.

I have found Dr. Ellingson to be uniformly courteous, patient (no pun intended), insightful and thoroughly knowledgeable. During his examination, he listens attentively and in concert with a detailed review of clinical results (e.g., radiology), makes an informed assessment. While there are orthopedists in and near my neighborhood, I make the 25 minute drive to see Dr. Ellingson precisely because of his bedside manner and my confidence in his skills.

He was aware of my medical history before walking in the room, he asked a lot of questions and was extremely thorough with his examination. At the follow up visit he again spent a lot of time explaining the situation, I never felt rushed. My 1st experience with OrthoVa was excellent. I was greeted, sent to check in, moved to get vitals, sent to x-rays, then meet with Dr Ellingson, all in 45 minutes. Had a horrible experience with this dude. Brought my rugby career to a STOP! Did knee arthroscopy which was horrible. Said complications I’m experiencing now “ was a result of bad luck.” Dude retired without telling his patient and without handing over my case to my new physician for continuity of care. He bends the truth. I’m sure he a good dude, but nah!
