How can I start by thanking Dr. Edwards? About a year ago I had a real bad accident and I needed surgery on my neck to relieve some really bad pain and irritation. He performed a ACDF surgery on me. And it helped a lot. I’m not gonna lie. I’m still recovering. But from where I was a few months ago to now it’s night and day. I had other choices. Other doctors to choose from but after couple of months of coming to his office and talking to him. He made me feel real comfortable about this major surgery. My family Thanks him. My kids, my wife. I will definitely recommend him if you need to perform major spine surgery, Thanks doc. One more thing I forgot to add… he is the most laid-back, friendliest, coolest doctor I’ve ever encountered in my life. Have a good day.

My Name is Apostle Derrick Craft I got hit by a car at work. After l receive the MRI it showed that I have a budge dis and pinched nerve L4-L5. Sometimes I can barely stand up walk around. My job sent me to Dr Edwards. Dr Edwards is horrible please don't use him. Dr Edwards does not have good people or office skills. I'm a witness he will send you back to work in injured. Dr Edward sent me back to work to regular duty lifting heavy with this budge dis and pinched nerve. I went back to him server times to inform him. I ask him send me to another doctor he refused. So I went to my personal doctor. They said I shouldn't been lifting nothing heavy. Because of this man now I need surgery on my back to shave the disc down so it can be off of my nerves. Dr. Edwards performed surgery on me about 10-12 years ago. I have never forgotten the pain relief he gave me. I would recommend his practice to anyone.

This Dr. has horrible ratings. He removes them when their left. How doe a Dr be in business for 20 years and only get 8 ratings. Google his name and you’ll find horrible reviews. He operated on my back and made it far worse than it originally was. He butchered my nerves to my leg. I had NO issues with them. He tore into my spine and did irreversible damage. Dr. Edwards a great doctor, my experience with him and his staff has been great . My surgery was a success and I will be recommending him to others!! Thank you!! Dr Edwards , I thank God for you!!!!!

In 2001 I was so hopeless and suffered terribly for decades. Dr Edwards walked in after viewing my myriad films and with tears in my eyes I said " Can you help me"? He said " yes". My surgery took much longer than planned 9 hrs due to a previous procedure leaving my inferior veins cava seared to my spine. Dr Edwards fused L34 and 5s-1 using sea coral. My recovery took time but my life changed so dramatically and i am so very grateful to Dr Edwards. He is kind and incredibly skilled. If you' ve lost hope THIS is the man you want. YES Does Dr. Edwards care about your overall HEALTH after he gets paid? NO WOULD I RECOMMEND DR. EDWARDS TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS? At 1st Dr. Edwards told me that I don't need surgery. He ran all the tests assumedly to get paid. Then his nurse Sandi started forgetting she gave me an appointment and not having my chart with her, the service started being poor. My appointments started being rescheduled days before the initial appointments. Then it got to the point where I was waiting hours to be seen to only get a five minute price visit with Dr. Edwards. I mentioned it to the staff when they called once they realized my appointment was the same day as the eclipse and him and his staff wanted to see the eclipse too. Not sure what the staff said to him but on my visit Dr. Edwards advised me that he called me that morning to cancel my appointment but did not get an answer but he wants to refer me back to the surgeon where I came from saying maybe he can see something that he haven't seen and gave me a slip placing me back on regular duty without an examination. I was like really you going to throw me under the bus just because you couldn't handle the truth? I drive from one end of town to another to see you just for you to run in the room in a hurry and not want to hear my concerns What's the purpose of a visit if you don't really want to see me or want to know my follow up concerns? Now he's the physician on record and all of a sudden he says that they don't want him to give me meds filled out his office. He refused to call in more meds to cover me until I see new physician. He even changed my prescription to say take in evening when I never took these meds at night. Dr. Edwards say he did his schooling in La. and those people took care of him. Yes, they were real, genuine people who love people and love to eat. Dr. Edwards wasted my time and did not seem to care about my well being and my health. I should not have to bring you a Louisiana diss just for you to do the right thing in regards to my health and pain level. I was told he was a good doctor and all but I just don't do business who treat me like trash. My ancestors went through that growing up and. refuse to go through this from my own kind. Why do we as people have to treat people the way you wouldn't w nt to be treated? I know you was not treated that way when you were in school at Tulane University. I got hurt at work and the worker's comp doctor sent me back to work even though I was still in pain. I chose to switch to Dr. Edwards and he really listened to me and ordered a MRI that showed I had a real problem. He came up with a plan and after an epidural injection and physical therapy I was able to return back to work.

Excellent doctor! Very knowledgeable and helpful! He did my back surgery and I have never felt better. He and his staff made me feel like family and made the process of surgery before and after so much better! Highly recommended!

I went to Dr. Edwards after I injured myself in the gym. He was very thorough in explaining what was going on in my lower back. After the physical therapy he prescribed, my back was in better condition than before I got injured. Now I know the importance of core stabilization. The wait is a bit long but worth it because he's a great doctor. The staff was accommodating and professional. I would highly recommend! I went to Dr. Edwards after I injured myself in the gym. Dr. Edwards has been my Dr since 2007. I wouldn't have anyone else operate on my back. He takes his time and explains what your options are. I've had several issues but none had to do with my previous surgeries. His staff is friendly and very efficient.

I came in very nervous and scared of something being severely wrong with my spine and have to undergo surgery. He ordered an MRI that showed I had a tear and ordered therapy and and injection that severely helped my back pain. I did have to wait a bit for my appointment with Dr. Edwards, but it was well worth the wait. I would highly recommend him to anyone with any type of spine issues.

Dr. Edwards is an incredible surgeon. He is so kind, respectful and understanding. He did my back surgery and I have felt great ever since! My quality of life has greatly increased and I could not be more grateful. He always takes a lot of time to explain everything to me. Thank you Dr. Edwards and thank you to his always helpful staff!

My husband was a patient and now I am too, based on the extremely positive experience we had with my husband's surgery. I have neck issues and Dr. Edwards recommended Physical Therapy (at a therapist of my choosing) and an MRI. Fortunately, my issues are not severe. But thanks to Dr. Edwards for reviewing my symptoms, getting me an MRI, and making a treatment recommendation that has already helped.

Was surprised to see he was still practicing. He operated on my back years ago and I was left with a high level of pain. He wanted to send me to a pain specialist! Really.... I came to him because of pain. Finally sent me to physical therapy in the boondocks. Apparently didn't want anyone nearby to know what he was doing to his patients. There are many fine doctors. Don't go to him. He should be doing insurance physicals. I feel like I dodged a bullet. I just glad I'm not paralyzed.

After getting an MRI to check the condition of my back after an assault he told me "instead of being concerned about your back you better be thinking about that mass in your stomach; it's from all them fatty foods you have been eating ". He never once told me about the condition of my back and refused to give me paperwork because I was on WORKMANS COMP, totally treated me like my pains were of no importance. The nurses as well as the office staff were phenomenal.

I want to truly Thank u Dr Edwards for leaving me in severe pain for numerous days! I felt like you were treating me like a drug addict because I have severe allergies to medications! I also feel like when I saw u that u work for workmen's comp. not the patients! Not once did u ask me how I felt! All u did was talk to the workmen's comp rep. I tried numerous times to tell u my MRI was 3 mths old and I was in more pain since it was taken but u just ignored me! I would not recommend you anyone!

My husband is a patient of Dr. Edwards - initially, he appeared very caring and thoughtful. However, after my husbands ACDF surgery - an outpatient surgery - he was advised that he would need to stay overnight. The next day, hours passed as we waited for Dr. Edwards to show up. We were later advised that Dr. Edwards never planned to visit my husband and thought he had submitted his discharge papers the day before. He admitted to the nursing staff that he had no idea we were still admitted.

I had 2 horrible experiences with other docs who didn't even take an x-ray. I've been in constant pain for 2 years. Saw Dr. Edwards and was immediately shocked at how nice he was. He actually listened to what I had to say. Read my MRI and identified the bulging disc the was pressing on nerves. I am now getting proper care. Wish I had seen him 2 years ago. They were 1 nurse short and still the office staff was very nice and pleasant. I watched them work in someone who had come at the wrong day.

I saw Him with severe back injury and he sent me for cat scan then I could not get an appointment for 5 days. I tried to have hIm tell me if I was in danger because I had a work trip and was met with rudeness excuses and plain irruption behavior from a medical office.

Dr Edwards did an excellent job on my herniated disc. After 15 years I have never had any issues or additional surgery.
