Christopher Coufal

Dr. Coufal has been my primary surgeon for 14 years. He is the most compassionate, kind, proficient incredibly truly patient focused doctor I have ever met. Dr. Coufal listens in depth to what you are feeling and never gives up on doing anything to provide you with a solution to your issues. Dr. Coufal is far more than an amazing surgeon, he truly treats you like family. My life would not be what it is today if it weren’t for Dr. Coufal’s incredible talent, patience, compassion and encouragement. Truly the best surgeon I have ever had the blessing to have vigilantly standing always beside me to improve my quality of life. Thank you Dr. Coufal, Dr. Lee and Dr. Knight for everything. You are all truly amazing.

He is the best! I get all of my broken bones fixed by this man and he never disappoints . Highly recommended!

Dr. Coufal is very passionate and listens to patient needs. He was my surgeon who repaired my broken arm when I fell at home. He is a John Muir hospital physician and I would recommend him and his efficient staff.

Dr. Coufal is very friendly and professional . He is knowledgeable and kind, He has great bedside manners and excellent surgical skills. His staff is super friendly. I am glad he is my doctor.

After many years of living with an acquired leg length discrepancy, I was fortunate enough to consult with Dr. Coufal upon a recommendation. Dr. Coufal presented way above my expectations on everything from how I managed since to what options are now available. A path to better health and comfort was clearly planned and is being acted on. Dr. Christopher Coufal Was great with my father who had broken his Pelvis. Unlike other surgeons I’ve met he was very down to earth, he made my father comfortable with his words and advice. Surgery went well and he stayed in contact for months and months afterwords to make sure he was doing well. I would recommend him to anyone who asks. Dr Coufal is so focused , kind and patient He truly makes me feel like I’m his only patient while he’s the busiest Doc in the facility !

incredibly skillful surgeon, and patient, knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor! My son had a serious femur fracture with other injuries, as a result of a motorcycle accident, and in just under 2 weeks the staples are out and his recovery going beautifully. We both highly recommend Dr. Coufal!

I took a fall at the end of December 2018, a stumble-fall on the patio. Unfortunately my upper right leg landed mostly between the patio and the brick edging. I broke my femur pretty bad. At first I thought I was just stung (charlie-horse wise) because it hurt pretty bad. I tried to let the sting wear off some then I pulled a garbage can over and tried to stand up but my leg just sort ot flomped around and I knew then I was unfortunately hurt pretty bad. I was transported to John Muir Concord and had a rod and pin put in by the good professionals 12/31/18. After a lengthly rehab, I found out the rod had cracked near the break site last October 2019. *Doctor Coufal was referred by the original Doctor to do what was referred to in the terms of a revision. I was able to have the surgery scheduled for January 10, 2020 by *Dr.Coufal at John Muir W.C. I was very lucky to have the skills of *Dr. Coufal in my situation. He's been amazing. Love you man! Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Coufal and was comforted by our friendship and talks.

He has been great! He was very capable in dealing with my quad tendon rupture. He has provided good after care support. He has a nice bedside manner, which I think is helpful in the whole recovery process. I would recommend him highly in his specialty areas.

I fractured my shoulder, tore my rotater cuff and my bicep.
