Dr. Chen did a superb job on my right hip surgery. The area healed very fast and removed all of the pain I had been experiencing. He is thoughtful, respectful, and intelligent , qualities one always hopes a doctor will have. In addition, his staff is very efficient in getting all of the pre-surgery paperwork and instructions to their patients, which really helped to streamline the whole process. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Chen for any surgery one might need, and will definitely request him if I need any further surgeries.

I and two friends have had knee replacement surgery with Dr. Chen. In all cases the outcome was perfect, giving us the ability to participate in tennis, cycling, skiing at the same or greater ability than we had before the surgery.

Dr. Chen replaced my knee in 2015 and I have a difficult time remembering which one is my original. I was asked in rehab the name of my surgeon. Once I told them, the response was "Oh, he's the one that all the nurses use." What better recommendation can you get?

Dr. Chen performed the hip replacement surgery for my left hip this past October as well as my right hip 12 years ago. I stayed with my health plan all these years so I could be sure to have him as my surgeon when the time came for my recent surgery. Dr. Chen is a brilliant surgeon. As many who have suffered for so long with hip issues, I don't know why I waited so long. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, and follows up on your progress in addition to providing information and answering any questions you might have along the way, pre and post surgery. The xray techs, nurses, and physical therapists hold him in high esteem. When they ask who did my surgery, they say he is the best. Dr. Chen did a terrific, very meticulous job on my hip replacement surgery. I appreciate his willingness to recommend the surgery based on what he saw on the x-rays even though I was under 50 when he gave me the green light. Now post surgery I can sleep on my side, extend my leg to lie flat on the floor, and put on my shoes and socks without pain. I have had hip replacement surgeries for both hips performed by Dr. Chen In the last four years. After years of chronic pain and stiffness I am able to sleep, garden, walk, and participate in normal activities pain-free. Dr. Chen and his staff were professional and caring. I highly recommend his services.

Dr Chen replaced my hip 6 weeks ago. I was up and walking with a walker the night of the surgery. I was walking without any aids within 10 days. Dr Chen did scold me and insist that I needed to use a walker for another 10 days. I have been pain free and able to sleep on my surgical side for 3 weeks. I am able to recommend him as a surgeon without any reservation. His office is friendly and helpful. I also thought highly of the hospital staff..

Doctor Christopher J. Chen in my opinion is a brilliant star in the orthopaedic surgery field. My knee incision healed very fast, no staples were used that meant not having to go to doctors office for staple removal! His staff and special off site nurse were awesome ! Special nurse kept tabs on my progress and alerted doctors office of concerns. Within 3 weeks I went out to a restaurant for dinner! I told Dr. Chen at my recent appointment, 2 years after my hip replacement surgery, that it was a miracle! I had been miserable for a long time before I finally found the courage to have the surgery he had recommended. Dr. Chen is an outstanding physician and surgeon. If he tells you surgery is needed, believe him and go forward! I recovered very fast as a 100% compliant patient. His kind professionalism is echoed in his office staff. I hope I won't need another surgery, but if I do, I certainly won't feel the need for a second opinion. I had two hip replacements within a 3 month period. The first was done with a doctor who specializes in the Posterior Approach and the second was done by Dr. Chen who specializes in the Anterior Approach. The difference in the recovery time was incredible. I had no restrictions and was walking unaided within 3 weeks after the Anterior Approach whereas with the Posterior Approach I was using the walker for 3 weeks and another 3 weeks with a cane. The restrictions I had with the Posterior Approach were very difficult to adhere to. With the Anterior Approach there were no restrictions, only caution, care and healing. I would definitely recommend the Anterior Approach for a simple hip replacement with no other issues to consider and I would definitely recommend Dr. Christopher Chen as a very professional, skilled surgeon.

It's been two years since I had both of my knees replaced by Dr Chen, now pain free. He is a brilliant and precise surgeon. Very clear when explaining what the options are. His staff is very helpful and supportive. I give him recommendations all the time.

It's been 10 years since Dr. Chen performed a complete hip replacement on me due to a previous unresolved fracture. This was a complicated replacement due to a prior femur fracture that required the removal of existing prosthetic. During the 18 month time prior to seeing Dr. Chen I was told that my hip was healing well despite the fact that I had a terrible, painful limp. Initially I was promised only pain relief but as we got closer to surgery Dr. Chen began to feel and improvement in my gait was possible. The day of the surgery I was up and walking without a limp and feeling great. Within 3 weeks I was walking free of crutches or cane. 10 years later I'm still pain free, exercise without restriction. Dr. Chen is an outstanding physician- both skilled and friendly. He is known in the area as being a top hip and knee surgeon and I can see why. I was thoroughly delighted with his work. His staff is courteous and professional.
