There is not a kinder and more caring group around! Can't say enough great things about Dr. Calvert and Dr. Cassie.

Doctor might be great but his staff is horrible. Beyond rude. I don't know if they are unhappy with their employer or their personal life but it surely shows.

Unless you have a sick visit good luck trying to get in for a wellness check. Couldn't schedule any back to school visits until September. We were patients of theirs for over 6 years. Horrible customer service.

Terrible experience here. They require chart review to see a patient and it takes a very long time. We had a 4 month old and had to call multiple times to get this completed. He had barely anything to review. They had my other son’s records for 2 weeks and wouldn’t let him come in despite hearing him coughing to the point of vomiting on the phone. I asked the doctor to call me to discuss the situation and my wife’s frustration (which she made very clear). It took 3 calls for the staff member to tell me the doctor would not be calling. It was a cowardly response and of which most business owners would be ashamed. I would say stay clear. Lastly, I called the medical group and they didn’t understand the chart review policy. I was plainly told “they could see you now. I don’t understand what they are doing.” Terrible experience here. They require chart review to see a patient and it takes a very long time. Great doctors and staff....if you call because you have problem, doctor will call you back. Also, their after hours response is great. Dr. Calvert is awesome with children

My daughter is 8 weeks old and we have had to see the doctor quite often due to Jaundice, feeding issues, and regular checkups. This is our first baby and we had a different pediatrician picked out before she was born but once we met Dr.Calvert at the hospital we just felt so comfortable with the care he gave her that we decided to start seeing him instead of the other pediatrician. Dr. Cassie has been wonderful as well! We have never had any issues getting an appointment right away. The couple of times I’ve had to call Dr. Calvert after hours he has called back immediately and is ALWAYS so helpful and sweet, I hate having to call doctors after hours but he’s never bothered. I want to echo what Mrs. Deane stated in a previously posted review. I have been coming to Dr. Calvert since my son was born 5 years ago. He was the rounding pediatrician at Christ the day after I gave birth and that is how we met. Let me tell you, that from the random phone calls to all our visits to his office , all enteractions with him, Dr Cassie and their nurses have been great. They are professional, courteous, and understanding. I drive 50 minutes one way just to take my kids to this office because of the great respect and confidence we have in their practice. I am afraid to find a more convenient (local) pediatrician because they won't be as awesome as these guys. Finally, Dr Calvert is professional and knows how to conduct himself as such; I am in disbelief that he would simply insult a parent straight out , especially without reason. Once you meet Dr Calvert, you will be suprised to read "that "negative review on Google without thinking it to be slanderous. In regards to his front staff, we usually have no issues all though sometimes they seem a little special with knowing how to handle questions or situations without involving clinical staff. My ob recommended this team when I was pregnant. I didn't check them out prior to giving birth because, you know, I had time. Well I went into labor early and just listed Dr Kim as her pediatrician. I heard Dr. Kim coming down the hall before I even met him. What a fabulous personality. When Dr Calvert came in the next day and looked at my daughter as she was crying, he said, "It's okay, sweetheart. We'll get you bundled up soon." I knew right then that we were going to be okay. Almost 14 years later and they are still the best you can find. The addition of Dr Cassie was perfect. She got down to my other daughter's level to look her in the eye to see what was wrong with her. Rather than tell her to get up on the table, she met my daughter where she was comfortable. The front office staff is fantastic. They always greet our family with a smile and work hard to make sure we get an appointment when we call because someone is sick and Mommy can't handle to see her kids sick. Love this office. I actually went to them as a kid and they agreed to see me through college so I continued because I felt so comfortable there. Now I am a mom of two and a medical professional myself and have nothing but great things to say. Let me begin by saying that as a mother, finding the perfect pediatrician for my daughter was priority 1 when I found out I was pregnant. Dr. Calvert was suggested to us by my sister in law who, at the time, worked as a pediatrics nurse at Christ. I am so glad she did! Dr. Calvert has always been attentive and understanding of my concerns, no matter how small or big they were. Dr. Cassie has also been so great and patient as well. Even the nurse practitioner, Elizabeth is great with my daughter! I just gave birth to my son a couple months ago and my husband and I couldn't be happier knowing both of our children are in great hands! Transferred our son's care to Dr. Calvert due to our pediatrician leaving our HMO. Tried to make an appointment immediately after making the switch and was told that since they haven't reviewed my sons medical records yet (their fault, not mine) they would not schedule an appointment. We are left to use the emergency room, with a $200 copay, until they get around to making a complete review of my sons records. Office staff was rude and nonchalant. Poor policies and just as bad office staff.

Wife waited for over an hour since scheduled appointment time with 3 children (8, 5, 2 1/2). This doctor is the WORST at keeping appointments. There is ALWAYS a long wait time and he isn't in the room for more than 5 minutes. All doctors need to figure out how to schedule appointments. Also, he isn't the friendliest person. Pediatricians should no better that kids can't sit around for an hour plus waiting at a DOCTOR. Nice sign in the lobby to control your kids...KEEP an appointment!

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Willing to call to check on your sick kid during the weekend.

He is a very good doctor but the wait time is ALWAYS extremely long. I've been using him for 7 years and the problem has been consistent the entire time.

Bad side manners

Dr Calvert, has taken care of my Grandchildren and always with a smile and gentle hand. He is careful and always puts his patients needs first. Getting an appointment is always easy and his exam rooms are colorful and the pictures are very entertaining both adult and child.

FIVE HUGE STARS for DR. Calvert and rest of the doctors, ZERO for his office. When you call to make appointment for sick kid you must take the first available appointment. They won't even tell you the next available appointment. They tell you to call again. The appointment you have been offered needs to be taken in order for them to talk to you again and offer you the next available appointment. They DON"T care if you can't come. If you want to be ridiculed as a parent and told that you are an irresponsible parent by your child's pediatrician that Dr. Calvert is your guy. If you want your 6 year old daughter to be shamed by your pediatrician and told by him that he is "Disgusted with her behavior" and "this is disgusting" because she is having a meltdown in his office during a sick visit in which she is clearly not feeling well, tired, and irritable, than Dr. Calvert is your guy. These situations occurred on two different office visits in the past 2 months. Never had I thought that I would be writing this sort of review about a physician, Dr. Calvert, that has been caring for both of my daughters since the day they were born. I should have terminated our relationship with him when he referred to my daughter's behavior as "disgusting" because she had a meltdown during one of our visits in which she was afraid of getting her throat swabbed. But I stayed on and chalked up his inappropriate insults and shaming behavior to him having a bad day. I must say that Dr. Calvert is well aware of the fact that my daughter struggles with some anxiety because the appointment prior to that he and I had a conversation about my observations and how I think she may be struggling with anxiety and he even billed me and my insurance for anxiety. In fact, he had a hunch of that even before I ever said anything to him because when Dr. Cassy joined the practice he suggested that we be seen by her because he believes my daughter would be more comfortable with a female practitioner. Fast forward to Friday, February 12 when I took my daughter in for an 8pm sick visit and Dr. Calvert berated me for taking her to school sick. When I tried to explain to him that she wasn't feeling as bad in the morning in comparison to what he was seeing this evening and that her symptoms obviously got progressively worse as the day and evening wore on he cut me off and continued to call me an irresponsible parent. He walked out of the exam room and into the hallway complaining about me to the nurses and assistants in a demeaning and belittling manner. In fact, one of the nurses came back to close the exam room door so that I wouldn't hear his tirade. When he returned to the exam room with a condescending attitude I attempted to have a clarifying conversation with him about his behavior with us today and the last time we visited and when he called my daughters behavior disgusting. Dr. Calvert basically responded by saying well I guess this relationship is over and you can let us know who we can transfer your files to. Just like that! When I asked him why he was reacting that way and that we have known him since my girls were infants he responded by saying do you want me to treat her today or not! Totally dismissing the conversation I was trying to have with him. I was shocked! Of course I want you to treat her today I responded tearfully. You are her physician and you took an oath. How unethical and unprofessional. Had Dr. Calvert acknowledged that he was out of line by calling my daughter's behavior 'disgusting' and referring to me as an 'irresponsible parent' I would have accepted it. Had he said you are right I am/was having a bad day.. I would have accepted that. Instead of having a professional conversation with me he resorted to power and control and thought the best way out for him was to basically kick us out of his office and no longer serve as our pediatrician. Let me just say that I was mistaken by going back to him after the first time he insulted and shamed my 6 year old. Needless to say that I will not be going back to his practice and parents don't you dare send your children to school sick ... ever and make sure to tell your children that they shouldn't be tearful or have a meltdown in Dr. Calvert's office because he will not tolerate it...in fact he will humiliate you for it. Dr Calvert & Dr Cassie are the BEST!!!! Dr Calvert has been my daughter's doctor from day one and I won't ever change. They are very good at their jobs and super sweet to my daughter! We hate getting sick, but they make it so much easier to deal with. Thank you!

I felt compelled to write a review, because while looking up Dr. Calvert's exact office address for my daughter's 6th grade medical forms, I noticed a bad review posted here for Dr. Calvert and could not disagree more with that parent's assessment. Dr. Calvert has seen my daughter since she was 4 days old (she was 3 weeks early). I found Dr. Calvert because my sister-in-law is a pediatric intensive care nurse at Christ Hospital and she said all the nurses she works with take their kids to Dr. Calvert. I was so impressed by Dr. Calvert even at the 1st visit. He has now taken care of my daughter for 11.5 years. Anytime she was sick, we have been able to see someone at the practice that same day. I have called him when my daughter was sick on vacation and got advice on the phone. Every visit he has always been patient in answering questions and I have never felt rushed. He has a gentleness with the kids and always has a good batch of stickers for them which my daughter sees as a treat even at 11! He is extremely thorough and is genius smart. He also is very kind. I now live in Clarendon Hills and still drive to Palos because he is really that good. I trust him and know my daughter is getting the best care possible. The entire staff is great. They are so patient and friendly. Doctors will answer questions over the phone and always get you in for an appointment. They are great with my kids. I was unhappy with my previous pediatrician and switched to Dr. Calvert 5 years ago after a friend referral. I am so glad I did!
