I have never in my life been under the care of a doctor w/ this caliber of skill who also has a caring, compassionate heart for soul for his parients. I am blessed to have been referred to him, especially considering the scope of my surgery. Other professionals at the time were amazed by what he was able to do. So very grateful.

Dr Bogaev is an excellent doctor with great bedside manners, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, skilled surgeon. He performed a microvascular decompression on my husband due to hemifacial spasms. Surgery was the last option. I only wish we had found him sooner after many years of medication, acupuncture, botox. Nothing was working botox after 8yrs was no longer minimizing the spasms instead it was disfiguring his face with a very noticeable face droop. The surgery was a success no more spasms, he returned his confidence and beautiful smile. We are forever grateful to this amazing doctor.

Dr. Christopher Bogaev is an amazing doctor. In 2012, I suffered a large pituitary adenoma that was pressing on both of my optic nerves and causing me to lose my sight. Dr Bogaev operated on me in 2005 for syringomyelia/chiari malformation. The surgery only lasted about ninety minutes, but he did a fantastic job. He is probably the best doctor I've ever met -- skilled, compassionate, and outstanding at what he does. One of the best neurosurgeons in Texas.

Dr. Bogaev saved my life 8 years ago today. His skill as a surgeon is second to none. His compassion and caring as a human being is on par with his skill as a surgeon. I was truly blessed 8 years ago today when he saved my life.

Dr. Bogaev removed a tumor on my husband's brain that had developed as a result of hyper-aggressive, metastatic prostate cancer. While he survived the surgery, my husband passed away shortly thereafter due to irreversible brain damage caused by the tumor. Through it all, Dr. Bogaev explained thoughtfully and patiently everything that was happening. His compassion, forthrightness, and genuineness was unlike anything I've ever experienced dealing with any other doctor.

Dr. Bogaev operated on my husband in 2000. Dr. Bogaev was 34 yrs old at the time. The surgery lasted approx. 26 hrs. Dr Bogaev never left the operating room he never left my husbands side. He was the most compassionate and caring Dr. I have ever met or probably ever will meet. Due to Dr. Bogaev I got to spend an extra 5 years with my wonderful husband. Thank You Dr.

Dr bogaev is a miracle worker!

My husband and I retired in San Antonio, Texas and while there our health started failing. I was having severe pain in my spine and episodes of the trunk of my body falling backwards. Then during the morning I started waking up nauseated and head hurting on the very top and it would happen just every now and then, then it was more frequent. We moved to Arkansas to be close to our children and I have difficulty finding doctors who will accept me as a patient. We are in the process of moving back to Texas where there our TRUE doctors and want to help the patient. Dr. Bogaev is certainly comparable to the disciple Luke who followed the Great Physician. Dr. Bogaev was highly recommended by my Diabetic Physician, Dr. Welch, who I would also recommend. I had a wonderful team who were all they could do with my situation. My husband had the best care with Dr Christopher Bogaev for his Trigeminal Neuralgia from the first office visit through the decompression surgery and after care. After being diagnosed with a posterior falx meningioma I was referred to Dr. Bogaev to discuss potential surgery. I have worked in the local San Antonio medical field for many years and specifically in surgery. I'll be honest, the decision to let someone go in to your brain was a difficult one. I walked in the hospital 2 years ago to have a spinal lipoma removed. Was only having minimal pain and now I have had to have 5 surgeries since. Terrible nerve damage caused and my life was changed forever! I would never recommend him to anyone.

Our daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Dr Bogaev was our neurosurgeon for the removal. He was excellent in all aspects. His bedside manor is the best we have ever experienced. Dr. Bogaev is a life saver. He is one of the most caring, professional and experienced medical providers I have ever met. This is coming from someone who has worked in the medical field over twenty years. I would refer anyone in need at the drop of a dime. It's a shame however, that his staff is the reason I would not.
