Dr Hietanen was my sons pediatrician for years before my son started seeing other doctors for his age and he made being a first time parent less scary, every appointment was pleasant with great conversation regarding my child’s health and my questions were always answered. He is a wonderful, knowledgable, and caring pediatrician who is always there for his patients.

Office staff is extremely rude and unhelpful . You feel like this is a business not a caring drs office go elsewhere

My kids have been his patients for 11 years. He is highly regarded by other physicians/staff at Vassar Brothers Med Center. Extremely knowledgable and up to date on medications, vaccines, treatments, viruses, infections, and diseases. Always takes the time to thoroughly answer my (and my children's) questions. Looks young but is smart, confident, and capable. He and his family live an active and healthy lifestyle. I believe that you should practice what you preach. I trust him 100%.

Would not recommend Dr Hietanen. Have seen him twice and the second time he was extremely rude he diagnosed my son with viral pneumonia and prescribed antibiotic. After my question is antibiotic unavoidable (my son took one 2 months ago for strep) he answerd :f you wont do what's prescribed why do you come see a doctor and walked out on us with no bye, nothing. Antibiotics dont work on viruses, common knowledge. Steer clear from Dr Hietanen Looking for new pediatric care after that visit.

We have been patients of TLC Pediatrics for 10 years now and 8 years with Dr.Hietanen. He is the best Dr. in the Hudson Valley. Treats every child like his own. He goes above and beyond. I would highly recommend him to anybody about to have a baby or if you are just looking to upgrade to a better Doctor.
