I came to Doctor Bonasso with a 10/10 pain from a pinched nerve and less than a week after consulting with him he had me having the surgery (ACDF) I needed. I am now 3 weeks post op and the pain I was experiencing going down my right arm is gone.

Everyone was very nice. Dr. Bonasso was very helpful and nice. The surgery was actually not too bad. I had a pleasant stay.

I had been in pain for a very long time. Nothing we tried in pain management provided relief. I decided on surgery w/ Dr. Bonasso and could not have anticipated better results! I can really stand up straight for a long time instead of just a couple of minutes and I am able to walk without pain! Thank you so much for your skill, professionalism, and warm bedside manner!

Cervical spine surgery is scary. Dr. Bonasso and the neuroscience team at Riverside perform amazing work and provide excellent medical care.

Everyone told me horror stories of back surgery, but this was not my experience. After 2 years of constant pain, I finally have little to no pain even just a week after surgery. Dr. Bonasso seems very friendly and attentive but to the point. I was scheduled for surgery 3 days after my referral appointment, so it was wonderful not to have to wait any longer to get relief.

Before seeing Dr. Bonasso I was in excruciating pain. During my first visit he listened to me and gave me options. I felt very comfortable scheduling surgery and I am so glad I did. Dr. Bonasso and his team took such good care of me. His skills and his team had me in and out of surgery much quicker that anticipated. I am back to moving and almost completely pain free. After failing so many conservative treatments I was not hopeful that surgery would work either. Dr. Bonasso's staff was so helpful in getting me scheduled quickly for surgery. I could not be more happy with my outcome. It is such a relief to be moving so well and with no pain medication only 3 weeks after my surgery. This physician and his team were absolutely wonderful.

When I came to see Dr. Bonasso he provided options with benefits and risk and I chose to move forward with surgery. The surgery was successful and the benefit was tremendous. My pain after surgery is minimal and the nerve pain is gone.

I had neck and back pain for years. He fixed my neck first and the scar is not very noticeable. He agreed to fix my back two weeks later and I have not had any pain in my back or neck since. In fact the surgery also fixed my finger and other areas of my body. I feel like a young woman now.

Dr Bonasso is a great doctor. He perform back surgery on me and helped me out alot Great staff also. I would advise anyone to see him if they are having back troubles

I had skull based brain tumors removed, without complications. It was a pretty major surgery, but went home within 36 hours after, and recovery has been fairly decent. Absolutely a great surgeon. His staff are super nice and helpful, and the nurses at the hospital were all great. Thank you for giving me my life back.

Dr. Bonasso is wonderful, kind, caring. I saw him for neck issues and ended up having surgery in October of 2020. Eight months later --pain free--amazing after so many years of hurting, PT, meds. He made me very comfortable with the surgery and before, during and after. I would definitely recommend him and will be back to see him in the future if needed.

I received shameful after care and have struggled since surgery. He scheduled appointment 1 month after surgery and didn't even check my back. He just has left me to suffer and find other medical help aline. TERRIBLE WAT TO TREAT A HUMAN BEING.

Dr. Bonasso done my neck surgery@ Riverside hospital. Everyone there were wonderful. I was terrified to have the surgery. Due to be scaried to death of IV's. I've had surgeries before. With very bad experiences with the IV part. They hit my vein right away. First time(never happens in my world). I had surgery at the beginning of March. When people were making jokes about toilet paper and covid. Those next 2 weeks. Dr.bonasso made sure to stay in contact with me. He answered every question I had and my family had. Dr. Bonasso called us repeatedly to check on me. At that time. Riverside was not having, in office appointments.(due to covid) at my last appointment. Dr. Bonasso answered ALL my questions. Very straight forward. Everything was explained in detail about what was wrong and how it would be fixed. I am only 1 month out and feel better than I have in years. Excellent doctor and staff!!

So far, my experience has been nothing but good. Dr. Bonasso has been up front with me about my condition from the beginning. I was told what I could expect from surgery, and everything has went as planned.

Horrible visit. Did not explain anything about my condition to me. And when I asked questions he seemed offended and made me feel stupid. If you're looking for a doctor who sits down and thoroughly talks to you and listens, this is NOT the one.

After being referred by a spine specialist, Dr. Bonasso entered the room announced he could not help me and left the room. I was shocked since I was told by the spine specialist (another OhioHealth provider) that surgery was my only option given the stenosis and pain in my neck. Bonasso referred me to a "motion specialist" with whom I cannot get into see until October. Further, if my difficulties are caused due to problems in the cervical spine, I can't imagine how I will get lasting relief from a "motion specialist".

I had a herniated disc in my back. It was on top of a nerve and I had pain going down my right leg. Dr. Bonasso scrapped where the the disc was herniated to get it off that nerve for relief.

The procedure went fine. I have had next to no pain so the recovery has been good.

Dr. Bonasso is the best. If I had a question - he returned my call personally. He explained my issues very clearly. He is kind and compassionate. I certainly recommend Dr. Bonasso.

The surgery was a great success. I am able to stand on my legs without any pain.

Took a month or so to get an appointment. Less than 24 hours before the appointment, his staff calls to reschedule. The appointment was for the same day at a later time. I had to hurry to change child care arrangements and change my work schedule. Showed up and door signs aren’t clear. Stood at the wrong desk for several minutes (very busy office) to check in before I was directed to the right desk. There I was told the doctor had just left for surgery and it was my fault for being late (which was actually time spent waiting at the wrong desk). I can only imagine how rushed my appointment with him would have been if my appointment was scheduled right up against the time he was scheduled to do surgery. Very unprofessional.

I am very pleased with how fast Dr. Bonasso took action on my behalf. I had been down to very minimal to almost no movement due to the severity of my back pain. My first visit with Dr. Bonasso led to being admitted to be prepped for surgery the next morning. Less than 24 hours my surgery was done. I felt immediate relief. Absolutely grateful. Thank God for Dr. Bonasso.

Not knowing what to expect, I found my appointment to be very educational. Dr. Bonasso has been wonderful in explaining what would, what was, and what the outcome would be. The staff at Dr. Bonasso's practice have great with my questions be in person or over the phone.

This is a follow-up visit on my surgery which I had 5 weeks ago. Glad to be able to follow-up at the Marion office. Better for me than traveling to the Columbus office. Rate things as excellent.

I am very pleased with the service that I received. I had an MRI at OSU Emergency Room on September 6th. They made an appointment for 10/1/2020 with their specialist. I was in a lot of pain and a friend told me about Dr. Bonasso. I called and got an appointment 4 days later. He got me scheduled for surgery on September 29, 2020. I woke up immediately out of pain. I am so happy for the speedy work. I was so tired of suffering. Thank you Dr. Bonasso and staff for such quick and great work.

The entire process has been extremely pleasant and positive! Dr. Bonasso has been very thorough and has taken the time to answer all of my questions, and I usually have a lot of questions. He even makes the time to call back regardless of the day or time. He even called me back once on a Friday night at 8 pm!!! Oh yea, and he fixed my problems - L4-S1 and 2 carpel tunnels.

Everything went well. No headaches since the operation. I give it 100 percent. Working on weaning off my Gabapentin - doing exercises and hoping that will help with the weaning process.

Dr. Bonasso listens - very good bedside manner with his patients. I had great confidence in him and his ability. I had spinal fusion surgery - I can walk without pain. I am so pleased. From the first consult I had with the Dr. it was bam you need it done, to having my neck surgery done a week or so later, at first I was mortified at the incision, but 3 wks post op it looked great and he stayed in line with my neck crease and it looks fantastic now, hardly even noticeable now! , I was sorta unhappy at the time he spent with me , I called him Dr. Flash because he was in & out , but This Dr. knows what he is doing and his staff is just as exceptionable as he is, and makes up for his absence . I would definitely recommend Dr. Bonasso for all surgeries in the future . Thank you to Dr. Bonasso & his staff for making my life so much more bearable & enjoyable now that he replaced C5 in my neck.
