Cheryl L Standing

Dr. Standing is an amazing Dr. She is the only Dr. that has been able to help us with our son’s autoimmune condition. She spends time with us, listens to us, explains everything and answers all of our questions. She keeps up on current research and is willing to try new treatments and helps us weigh the pros and cons. She is across the state from us but is worth the drive! Our son calls her Dr. UnderSTANDING. We are very lucky that we found her.

Dr Standing spent well over an hour with us at our first visit. She is incredibly kind, incredibly thorough, and she knows her stuff. We drive over an hour to see her and she's worth it!

This doctor is not in West Des Moines. She works out of a facility in Creston, IA. We finally decided to make an appointment when my son was having trouble breathing. We have been in town for one week from California and planned on contacting this doctor because she advertises being in West Des Moines and focusing on alternative medicine. I called yesterday and who ever scheduled the appointment said tomorrow at 9 am. I said we'll take it. We drove all the way here and were told the appointment was scheduled for another day. We drove one hour with an 8 month old! I'm very sad and will not be returning to the appointment. I'm writing to warn you all of this situation. I'm not sure of the doctors skills because I didn't get to meet her, but I can tell you she is not in West Des Moines.
