Dr. Cheryl Cotter had correctly identified my son with asthma and acid reflux over a dozen years ago.Thank God she did. Prior to her prognosis, he had been hospitalized twice a year for three consecutive years. Before Dr. Cotter, he had been ng worsemisdiagnosed 13 times. Yes, 13 times (trachea stenosis, trachea hemangioma, Opitz syndrome, laryngo malacia, epigolitis,, arterio venous malformation and more). Prior to her prognosis, he had been hospitalized twice a year... for three consecutive years . He has not been hospitalized since then. Before Dr. Cotter, he had been misdiagnosed 13 times. Yes, 13 times (trachea stenosis, opitz syndrome, epigolitis, laryngo malacia, arterio venous malformation and more...). My son had been getting worse each year and even had a stroke by age 8. Worst “Doctor” in town. After spending 5 minutes with my son, she deemed him to be deaf in one ear and for us to just accept it. After seeing a new ENT, we had a renewed hope and new treatment plan. Since then, he’s recovered half his hearing and climbing. Had we of taken her “professional” advice, God only knows where he’d be today. Bedside manner is completely terrible and she’s far from a professional. Please seek another provider if you’d like sound advice and/or a realistic prognosis. She’s literally the worst. I’m from a family of physicians and married to one, as well. She’s flat-out terrible. Worst “Doctor” in town. Dr. Cotter was very rude and short with her answers. She was more concerned with checking text messages on her watch than discussing my child’s issues. The nurse practitioner was very attentive and engaged; Dr. Cotter could learn some bedside manners from her.

It is hard to imagine a less professionally run office. My first experience in their allergy clinic involved being asked to bring in my Epipen for my child but the staff did not know how to use it, had there been an actual emergency. Our school nurse was so horrified, she gave me a flier on how to use the different brands of pens to give to them. Despite that incident (since we had already done testing), we continued in their allergy clinic and were recently told when we called to set up our next treatment that they had decided to suspend the allergy treatments because “the numbers didn’t add up”: when they looked at ordering more supplies during COVID. Those were the exact words of the office manager. . I asked if I missed a notice being sent out, the office said “No, we didn’t send them out.” They said we are referring out patients to another allergy clinic, but when I called that clinic had not been informed that the patients were referred to them. I can’t speak to their surgical capability but as far as professionalism and communication about changes in patient care, this place was appalling. Dr. Cotter has taken great care of my boy's ear problems. He is hearing normally right now thanks to her and her staff.

Wonderful doctor and staff. Only wish they had a few other options for surgery locations. She let my three year old climb all over her and play while we talked. You can tell she truly loves children.

My wife and I are beyond happy with our experience with Dr. Cotter. My son just had his tonsils and adenoids removed as well as tubes put in his ears today. From the first appointment, to the scheduling of the surgery, to the surgery itself, she made us feel assured that our 5-year old was in the best of hands. Her professionalism and her thoroughness in explaining everything without pressuring us into any particular decision allowed us the confidence to make the right choice for our son. Immediately after surgery she made herself available for as many questions as we had. You can tell she loves the kids she treats. First class surgeon, highly recommended! Dr. Cotter is very knowledgeable. She takes her time to explain everything and is very thorough! After my daughter’s surgery, her and her staff made themselves completely accessible for any complications. Anytime we have to call the office for an emergency, the staff is accommodating and all the doctors and PAs are very helpful and kind. Dr. Cotter is very knowledgeable. We find her very rude. In and out of room very quickly. Always changes plan of care. Horrible bedside manner. I would never recommend her.
