Terrible experience

Had gone to annapolis surgery center for double descectamy. L1/2 andL3/4Had been having serve pain lower back (felt like electric shock ) shooting into legs making it hard to walk.At time of consultation dr Simmons said I'd be out of work 7 ta 10 days .I had procedure ..on the 12th of oct. ONCE I was clear to leave asked about post procedure instructions .A few minutes later nurse comes back gives me paper that says look for drainage or swelling for next 72 hours could use ice if needed .and to see different dr in easton following week .I called back to annapolis that afternoon and explained that didn't think they had given me right instructions for aftercare.the nurse said they were right.i have looked on line and spoke with another dr. These are instructions for injections and minor things not for descectamy . So beware if you have dr simmons no thought given to your aftercare at clearway surgery center in annapolis. Dr. Simmons is an incredible, doctor who takes time to listen to his patients especially when dealing with multiple health situations. He provides comfort, compassion & understanding esp. today as my mother had a pain block procedure. We were confident knowing she was in good hands! I will say unfortunately the anesthesiologist named Chris needs to learn from Dr. Simmons on bedside manner especially when you're dealing with the aging anxiety, fear, hearing loss & Parkinson's! Dr. Chris anesthesiologist needs to take the time to read her file, then respectfully address patient with kindness, empathy, compassion & understanding instead of humiliation! Having been an advocate myself for over 20 years it's always about the bedside manner, eye contact & reassuring the patient, so I will singing the highest of praise for Doctor Simmons in hopes that Dr Christopher will listen, take this teachable moment, reflect & learn from the very Best of Care who is Dr. Charles Simmons!

First time with Clearway Pain and was lucky enough to meet with Dr Simmons and can't say enough how wonderful this doctor is to help me get through this unfortunate time in my life. Even though it was busy at the office he patiently listened while I explained my condition with no rush. He also spent the time helping me understand what I needed to do to get well. Very knowledgeable with a down to earth pleasant personality and just an all out great doctor. Can't say enough....Thank you

Dr. Simons actually listens & cares about how your feeling. I've been seeing him for several years and wouldn't want anyone else treating me for pain. He's very knowledgeable and is warm and caring. They don't get any better than Dr. Simons.

He goes out of his way to help, he listens &he cares He has helped me be me again ,without pain He is Great, very good at what he does!

I have been a patient at Kuresmart (Smartpain) for over 7 years,originally treated by Dr Simmons. I’ve also seen 5 other providers at the same office over the years which resulted because Dr Simmons schedule was always full. I’ve had great care since day one. But Dr Simmons is by far the very best dr I’ve ever had. I have several ailments from old injuries resulting in slipped disks, pinched nerves, chronic pain, & arthritis. I’ve had several procedures done by Dr Simmons and he is by far very knowledgeable, caring, understanding, he listens and hears you at the same time. He explains everything to you from the moment your procedure begins and explains what the next step will be and what to expect afterwards. Then at the follow up appts. he always asks questions and listens to your concerns and always has an answer. Unlike some Drs at follow up they have no idea what you’re even there for til you explain your last visit. Not Dr Simmons, I’ll never see another Dr for my care.

Fabulous medical provider! Highly knowledgeable, listens well, responds appropriately, and prescribes sensibly. Definitely a keeper.

I have been with Kurt Smart Pain management for going on 7 years. And I have to honestly say that Dr Simmons is one of the most compassionate and friendly doctor I have ever seen. Unfortunately I was switched to a different doctor. It kinda hurt me. But the doctor I see now is just as good. Kevin Reese is the most important part of my recovery with my back pain. Leg pain, he is absolutely amazing...

I have spinal stenosis in my L 2 &3, 3 &4 and 4 & 5 back joints. I've never had any treatments like this. Naturally, I was scared of it. When dr. Simmons First examined me he told me exactly what he was going to do and what I would feel before he even touched me. That calms me. Then when I came back and had the procedure he did the same. He explained to me where and when he was going to give me an injection. And before he gave it to me he told me so and touched me there. I hardly felt it! Great!

Dr. Simmons has all of the wonderful qualities that you would expect from a medical professional. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding his craft but it is much more than that. He takes a genuine and sincere vested interest in his patients. He takes the time to thoroughly explain any and all issues that a patient presents to him. I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to have been assigned to him when I joined the Smart Pain Management group. He is a true asset to the company.

I've been seeing Dr Simmons over 2 years.......of the 5 doctors i see he is the most caring , and knowledgeable .........if there is any one better have not almost 60 years God's ..earth .... Thanks Forever Tyrone Nance

I have never found a doctor that truly listens and cares to the degree that Dr. Simmons does!! He is kind, consideerste and non-judgmental.

Dr. Simmons is a great doctor, that is knowledgeable with a great personality and alot of patience! He was quick to diagnose the problems I had, and acted quickly to get me out of pain! I will never change pain centers because I've found Smart Pain in Dundalk to knock the ball out of the park!

Been a great experience. He listens and explains things clearly. You feel comfortable talking to him and don't feel rushed. He has addressed my pain issues.
