The following happened in Long Beach CA in November 2020. My husband has been waiting to have surgery for months. His surgeon said that before operating, my husband needed a biopsy of a suspicious lesion on a vertebra. Is it cancer? We waited anxiously for the biopsy to be scheduled. We kept calling for a date. It seems that Dr. Raker didn't bother to review my husband's file for about 10 days. The file sat on his desk until we contacted a supervisor and she asked him to review it. It took him 15 minutes to decide that the biopsy would not be safe. So, we anxiously waited for nothing. Our phone calls and worry meant nothing. The surgeon recommended that we go elsewhere to have the biopsy. He believes that it can be done safely.
