My first visit to this location of Center for Sight and first appointment with Dr. Putrino

I went to the Center for Sight with expectations of seeing an eye Doctor, but after I was called in the the exam room, the Assistant started doing all these test with me. These tests are normally done by the Doctor, not the asst. at least in my experiences. I started to feel uneasy when she wanted to put drops in my eyes. I asked her isn’t this normally done by the Dr. and her response was well here at the Center for Eyesight we do things differently. Well I actually got up and left as I was very uneasy having all these eye tests for 40 minutes without seeing the Doctor the assistant said the Doctor will. Come I and Tweek things. I don’t think the assistant has the same medical training as the Doctor and should not be performing these test.I do not recommend this place. Dr is great! Glasses are overpriced!!! Bu your glasses somewhere else.

Exceptionally friendly, prompt, thorough experience for my first eye exam in 15 years...from front desk, eye tests/exam with tech and with Doc Petrino.

Center for Sight is a great place! Our doctor, Dr Charles Putrino, is fully in charge of our care. He discusses our conditions with us and explains what is going on with us. He is great as is the center. We would not go any place else.

The team from the moment you arrive are all so professional! They treat everyone with respect.

Dr Putrino was knowledgeable and offered important tips in improving my dry eyes. He was professional and explained a couple of finding in a very clear manner o would highly recommend him.

Dr. Putrino and Center for Sight is a world class practice. A family member recommended them to me when I moved to Bradenton three years ago and I am so glad I took their advice. While the practice is large, they work hard at treating everyone individually, like a smaller practice would: empathy, care, concern and professionalism. Dr. Putrino is one of the best optometrists I’ve ever had because he loves what he does and he has a rare gift of explaining your particular issue, results or general eye health in a way that you can understand. He never appears rushed and will answer your questions knowledgeably and honestly. Because I had cataract surgery (Dr. Soscia - also wonderful!) in the last two years, I’ve seen Dr. Putrino many times as follow up. He’s been incredible. I wouldn’t trust my eye health to anyone else and highly recommend this Ophthalmology practice.

Dr. Putrino is professional, kind, thorough, knowledgeable, charming, amazing and put me at ease with my eye issues twice in six months. I cannot find enough kind words to say about him. Consider yourself lucky to have him as your doctor. I know I do.

Horrible Service. I have been calling and calling trying to get my script from them,- They sent the wrong one, After 3 more calls, now i am being told i have a balance i need to pay?? I have VSP! I paid my Co-Payment. Now they wont give me my spript (and It takes 3 weeks to get my contacts made). They are holding it hostage. So unprofessional, and rude staff. Horrible Service. Get to see (pun intended) the best experienced doctors as well as having fun selecting your new frames with seasoned and knowledgeable staff (Thanks Dan!).

Highly recommend Dr Putrino. He has been my Dr 5+ years. He is very personable, professional, knowledgeable and cares.

Competent, caring, and accessible. Actually LISTENS to the patient and checks what may be the underlying condition waiting time is not meaningful because of time lags on dilation, etc

For a routine eye exam to update a prescription, Dr Putrino’s prescription was so off that my son suffered severe headaches. Then my son was asked to bring his year old contact prescription that the doctor duplicated. For this experience, Dr. Putrino charged $381.00. At first we were told that this routine eye examen will be covered by our insurance and we were only responsible for a copay of $40.00. We were misled, received the worst eye doctor exam and left to pay a bill. Stay Away!

Exceptional treatment from Dr Putrino. Takes the time to explain things and answer questions.

I have been in several times in the past year. I felt the most comfortable and confident on this visit. I spent a great deal of time with the Dr and we had a great conversation about general health and the impact on your eyesight. The extra time he spent was very much appreciated and informative.

Dr. Putrino is very professional, personable and friendly. He takes his time with patients and calmly answers questions. I have also witnessed his interaction with his staff when it wasn't apparent I could overhear and he is very courteous and respectful with them too.

I was extremely impressed with Dr. Putrino (and his assistant)! He is patient, spends time with you, and answers questions. I felt like I was his "only patient" when he was in the room. He found an eye condition (not found in a previous eye exam by another eye doctor 6 months ago). He is thorough, friendly, and made me feel at ease. His assistant was also very thorough, friendly, and helpful. I would highly recommend this office and Dr. Putrino!

Dr. Petrino was very professional and extremely thorough in solving my eye problem. I appreciate that he is a very caring doctor.

Center for Sight on University has been my families Optical provider for the last 8 years since we moved to this area. I just want to say that they really stand out to us in terms of "providing great service". I was in the office for an optical repair on my frames and Aaron Butcher & Julia Payton were just awesome, once again which prompted me to write this review. They are always extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. A company is only as good as its people, and Center for Sight has great people. We would not consider going anywhere else. Dr. Putrino was very thorough and caring during my visit with him to see whether I might need cataract surgery.

Dr. Putrino was extremely thorough and addressed potential issues with my sight outside of the scope of my visit, which was much appreciated. I will definitely be back, as these folks are extremely professional.

Quality of service, Fantastic. Service was excellent from Dr. Gindoff. He worked with me extensively on my eyes to find the problem.

I would rate my experience as an A+. Nancy at the front desk..excellent, Heather who performed some initial testing..excellent and Dr. Hammond, very knowledgeable, always cheerful...excellent.
