THIS IS A WARNING!! I'm a clinical social worker. I saw Dr. Jost for an initial appointment to address high blood pressure issues. During appointment he did not listen to my heart and certainly did not check my neck. He then wrote a note in my permanent medical record stating I had something going on with my carotid artery, and gave a diagnosis without testing or checking this when I was in office. He did not discuss anything with me, nor did he answer my questions. The note gave an incorrect and misleading diagnosis. I just saw another cardiologist who verified that Dr. Jost's note and diagnosis in my record was completely incorrect. I plan to file an official complaint with the Board. Dr. Jost LIED, and falsified my medical record. He also flippantly said to me that I was headed for a fatal stroke, but that I "would be OK." This with no testing, no actual exam and no good reason. Dr. Jost has a terrible reputation in the field I have found out. He needs serious supervision; and perhaps examination himself for mental issues. I am going to write reviews far and wide about this to warn people off. How dare he falsify a medical record. Southwest Cardio needs to reassess him immediately. He put me at risk. His license should be revoked. This was wholly unethical and cost me months of unnecessary anxiety. Look at other low star reviews. It's a pattern. BEWARE OF THIS MAN! HE IS NOT HEALTHY.

Dr Jost blew me off with my leg pain. Told me there was nothing wrong. Saw a different cardiologist elsewhere who had to do 3 balloons in my leg to fix the blood flow.

the staff sent in the wrong pill dosage of warfarin to the pharmacy on 9/29/2021 and didn’t tell me they increased pill dose from 4 mg to 6 mg. Because I had been taking 4 mg pills for many years I did not realize they changed it. On November 14th I was in the hospital due to a leg bleed due to their error. I could have died, was in intermediate ICU for a week incurring over 60k in medical charges. I had to relearn to walk and was in excruciating pain for over 4 months unable to sleep, difficulty working and in misery. Part of my leg muscle is now paralyzed. I had reached out to them several times with no response or follow up seeing how I was doing. I do not recommend trusting the staff there. I do not feel they have appropriate mechanisms in place to avoid dangerous prescription errors. I sure hope they at least learn from this mistake… however to date it appears they do not care.

Dr. Jost has been my husband's cardiologist for 17 years, one of the reasons we would never move from Arizona. To say that he has gone above and beyond is a huge understatement, my husband would not be alive under anyone else's care. Dr Jost, may seem to brush you off, but that is truly his personality, very European, and he is just in the mode the second he sees you to scrutinize everything about his perfected art, he is truly talented. My husband has 8 stents, triglycerides are extremely high, but Dr Jost has him on medication, shots and always brings him in, I would not take Ken to anyone else Dr. Jost has been my husband's cardiologist for 17 years, one of the reasons we would never move from Arizona. Dr Jost has been my cardiologist for the last 15 years. I'm alive to this day because of this genius. It's amazing someone could give him less then a 5 star rating. I love that he is direct in his treatment and truly cares about your wellbeing. How does someone question a Dr rated in the top 1% in his field? If you need someone to talk too, call a friend. When it comes to Dr. Jost, I feel as if I'm the most fortunate person in the world. Dr. Jost is brilliant, sees you as a person, not your diagnoses, and always, ALWAYS is able to diagnose and treat you with the latest cardio-interventions. Please read his bio on their website. I have seen Dr. Jost for 14 years, and I couldn't trust any physician more than I trust him.

Dr. Jost is very personable and friendly to all of his patients. If you’re looking for an outstanding cardiologist, choose Dr. Jost. He is more than knowledgeable within his own field and many others. I would recommend him to all of my friends and family!

I have been to Dr. Jost's office several times. I am going to go elsewhere. The staff was very friendly, but Dr. Jost himself had virtually no "bedside manner." He walked into the room each time, recorder in hand, speaking into it as he reviewed my file. The only interaction I had with him was his head nod in my direction and the question, "Are you feeling okay?" When i tried to ask a question or comment, i was brushed aside. He left the room as quickly as he entered it. I'm sure the doctor is knowledgeable but I need a doctor who speaks to me and explains his findings. I have been to Dr. Jost's office several times. Amazing doctor with incredible skills

Dr Charles Jost is one of the best cardiologists I've ever had the pleasure of working with, not to mention his office staff is outstanding and incredibly helpful.

My dad was going to another cardiologist and Dr Jost was recommended. Thankfully my dad switched to Dr Jost if not he would not be here today. Dr Jost saved my dads life. He was able to correctly diagnosis my dad.

My husband saw Dr. Jost because he was on call for the ER we went to when my husband was having what appeared to be a heart attack. Dr. Jost was fantastic. I don't want to have small talk and chit chat with the Dr. He is very busy, direct and to the point. My husband and I liked that and appreciated that he did not waste time. He is very professional and uses the latest technology and techniques. My husband was referred to this cardiologist by his primary care doctor. Great staff with a fantastic sense of humor, and patient service oriented attitudes. This positive atmosphere helps when facing frightening unknowns. Dr. Jost is wonderful and gives one a sense of security. He is very up front and you just know this man knows what he is talking about. He is very intelligent and will answer all your questions. My husband & I were very worried going in, but when we left we felt reassured. Anything asked that is better answered by his staff, his assistant is right there to tell you those can be answered after the doctor is finished. Very efficient system. My only complaint is that he’s not 10-25 years younger than I am because I’d prefer we never have to go to another cardiologist. ???? ???? My first appointment after my heart attack I had many questions, but the doctor only spent about 12-15 minutes with me and literally walked out of the room without a word in the middle of my questions. Then he ordered a coronary artery scan for me, but they turned me away at the testing facility because I am ineligible for the procedure due to the stents I have. I called the office, no one answered, I left multiple messages and they never called me back. My first appointment after my heart attack I had many questions, but the doctor only spent about 10-15 minutes with me and literally walked out of the room without a word in the middle of my questions. Then he ordered a coronary artery scan for me, but they turned me away at the testing facility because I am ineligible for the procedure due to the stents I have. I called the office, no one answered, I left multiple messages and they never called me back.

Dr Jost and his staff: I can't thank Dr Jost often enough for finding and correcting all my cardio and circulation problems Putting the two stents in my heart arteries has allowed me to be mobile an able to fully breathe again. Clearing my arteries in my legs and putting the stent in my upper left leg has my blood circulating into my legs and feet. Thank you for saving my life! He is an exceptional doctor. I HAVE AREADY RECOMMEDED THIS WONDERFUL DR. TO DEAR FRIENDS. DR. JOST HAVE HELP ME SO VERY MUCH, HE AND HIS STAFF GIVE PATIENTS WONDERFUL CARE, I FEEL SUCH TRUST WITH HIM, AND HIS CAREING STAFF. I AM THANKFUL FOR THEM ALL .

Best in the west....awesome intuition

Dr Jost is a knowledgeable provider, great staff, I would highly recommend.

He saved my grandmothers life and has been taking great care of her. she had all but 15% blockage suffered a heart attack several years ago. She didn't drink or smoke and ate better than the rest of us. She has recovered almost entirely.

I've been seen by Dr. Jost several times now. At first, he seems a bit overly direct and impersonal, but then you warm up to him. Now I find him actually warm and enjoyable to visit. His skill and knowledge are off the charts and I would highly recommend him.

My father was treat by Dr. Jost at Mountain Vista he was assume answered our question and gave us hope on other procedures?. We will never take him back to Mountain Vista the nursing staff was awful but happy to here he works with other hospitals. Thank you again for taking good care if our father. Stringer family

Dr. Jost was very professional and we feel like we are in the best possible hands for our care. His accent is thick but you can tell he cares about his patients and knows what he is doing! His staff was absolutely top notch.

Dr. Jost's bedside manner was the best I'd ever experienced, he is truly the best doctor in mesa! The staff were timely and the rooms were clean. The only bad thing was the water fountain not working!

I was thoroughly impressed with my experience at South West Cardiovascular. The staff was warm and professional and Dr. Jost is extremely experienced and good at what he does. I would recommend his services to others.

He treated my husband when he became Ill. He persuaded him to go to the hospital he was affiliated with, he even drove him. Scottsdale Hospital was 5 minutes away and his hospital was a good thirty minutes or more. In this case it may have been the difference between him living or his death. By the time I got to the hospital I never had time to speak to my husband again.

Dr. Jost has saved my life 2 or 3 times now. This included the widow maker. His bedside manner could be improved, but his skill level is great.

Dr.Jost is an outstanding doctor. He is an excellent cardiologist, always updating his knowledge and skills, has build a comprehensive office with cardiac stress testing, blood collection, and ultrasound imaging to serve his patients with great efficiency and less stress and appointments. He also is a real doctor, by which I mean his Swiss and US training have given him a comprehensive understanding of the human body, instead of seeing his patients a heart more or less hardened with a bunch of piping and valves more or less clogged sticking out of it. He is able to sort what is of cardiac origin and what is not, and bothers to point you in the right direction, doctor and testing if his tests check out as fine and something is wrong. As a patient I find his comprehensive approach closely matching the one I found at the Mayo Clinic when I went for treatment there in 2003. Dr. Jots has also hired a wonderful, pleasant, helpful staff, and designed a well-thought out, well lit, tasteful, both beautiful and cozy healthcare facility which makes his patients comfortable and at ease . His intellectual abilities can make him a tad quirky at times, which I find enjoyable personnally. I will take a doctor that can may be quirky but is remarkably dedicated and competent as he is any time over the disillusioned, disinterested pill-pushers I have met too often in the medical profession. To my knowledge he is the kindest and most knowledgeable heart doctor I have been to.Made me feel like a VIP and took time to listen to me.

Dr. Jost is an outstanding doctor. He is an excellent cardiologist, always updating his knowledge and skills, has built a comprehensive office with cardiac stress testing, blood collection, & ultrasound imaging to serve his patients with efficiency & less stress and fewer appointments. He also is a real doctor and a great diagnostician, by which I mean his Swiss & US training have given him a comprehensive understanding of the human body. He is able to identify cardiac issues and others.

I wouldn't trust anyone else with my heart issues. He has saved my life.
