Mr. Charles Gerard Hurbis

We have had many ENT Doctors over the last almost 20 years across 5 different states as we are retired military. Dr. Hurbis is, bar none, the best. So unbelievably intelligent and knowledgeable about his field. Makes you feel like you are in the best hands with his care. I am so thankful for him and his whole staff - they have helped us so much!

For more than 10 years I have suffered from sinus infections, congestion, airway problems, etc. I could empty a box of tissues every day, hating the night because I would fight to breathe laying down. I couldn't smell; I imagine my sense of taste was failing too, but it's hard to tell when it slowly is taken away from you. I spoke with an ENT locally, who told me there was "nothing" he could do for me. So I lived with it, for 10 years, assuming that this was my lot in life. I then read an article in the newspaper the featured Dr.Hurbis and thought I would give him a try. From the beginning he was willing to work with me to help me breathe better and maybe, "no guarantees" be able to smell. We worked through different therapies, which helped, but weren't perfect and eventually decided surgery (sinoplasty) was the best option for me. I can't believe the world of difference surgery was in my case. It was like a wind tunnel had been opened. And smelling? It isn't 100%, but it's back and we believe it will continue to improve. Dr.Hurbis is a great doctor, he doesn't beat around the bush, but gets straight to the point of what is best for you as a patient and what he is willing to try, which I appreciate. His staff are pleasant and kind. The surgery itself was way better than what I had been told by others who had had similar surgeries. His staff called multiple times to check on me after the surgery, Dr.Hurbis even gave me his personal number afterwards--in case I had any concerns. I just can't believe the range in ENT doctors; from the one who said I was a "lost cause" versus Dr.Hurbis who was willing to try all he knew to help me out. After so many years of suffering with sinusitis, I have finally found relief. Thank you Dr. Hurbis. Through your direction and skill I have discovered again what it is like to breathe normally, free of sinus pressure and pain. After having a horrible experience with a previous ENT, I was blessed to find Dr. Hurbis. Not only are he & the entire staff wonderful people, but he is a skilled doctor who is willing to get to the bottom of the most complex issues. I'd suffered for years, being told either it was all in my head or that there was nothing to be done. Dr. Hurbis took the time to fully examine my scans as well as my structures. He asked more questions than I had ever experienced. But, with those answers, he was able to diagnose the dozen or so small issues that had been plaguing me for years (rather than one large issue that anyone could recognize). He was able to explain & show me exactly where the issues were & how he planned to fix each one of them. We quickly scheduled the procedure(s) in order to get relief & healing. I didn't realize how bad I couldn't breath until I had sinus surgery. I went from a person lacking energy to a person full of energy. This procedure changed my life. Thank you Dr Hurbis and your great staff.

Dr Hurbis is a great doctor. He had to do extensive work on my sinuses. After the first procedure he gave me his personal cell number so I could call if I had problems. Who does that? AND when he found out my insurance was gouging me on the copay he adjusted his bill. Aside from that he’s a genuinely nice man and fun to visit. His staff is gracious and very helpful too. I have had sinus problems since I broke my nose in High School. I had sinus surgery in 1986 to fix the sinus issues I was having. After surgery there was a hole in my septum. I had been to several ENTs to get this fixed and most told me they couldn't fix it and one told me he could put a plug in my septum which I was not comfortable with. Then I went to Dr Hurbis. He is so knowledgeable and included me in all of his decisions. He wanted me to be able to breath but he also cared about what my nose would look like in the end. He didn't want it to just function properly he also wanted it to look nice. I was so nervous going into this procedure but Dr. Hurbis made me feel so comfortable. I am now 4 week out from surgery and could not be happier with my results. I know I have more healing at this point but I feel like my breathing is 100% better. I could not ask for a better outcome.

Dr Hurbis is great. I had a lot of sinus issues and after the surgery the difference is incredible. I would recommend Dr Hurbis to anyone that has sinus problems.

I like Dr. Hurbis. He is always caring and comes up with solutions to each individuals problems. I had sinuplasty done in the fall on 2018. I have meant to leave a review, but I was out living my life (finally)! For years I would have sinus infections. The infections would knock out chunks of my life. The final straw was when I fainted from an infection and broke my finger. Dr. Hurbis was doing the procedure called sinuplasty. It is an in office procedure and painless. I have not had such "airflow" when I breath in in my entire life! It has been WONDERFUL. I have known others who have gone with a more invasive procedure, and this sinuplasty beats them all. I saw Dr. Hurbis for a problem with my sinuses and airway about one year ago. I'd had multiple nasal injuries, a very poor airway with bad sinus problems most of my life. I suffered from headaches and chronic ear issues a well. Since my surgery I've had a huge life change. I've never been able to breath like this before and my energy level is much better (as well as my mood). Most of my sinus and ear symptom have gone away completely. I've had a deviated septum for my entire life, and in most recent years, it's caused some pretty frequent migraines. I had a septoplasty back in June, and Dr. Hurbis did a wonderful job! The procedure was completely painless and the recovery was less than a week. There was no bruising, and there were no post-op problems. Dr. Hurbis has a wonderful bedside manner, that makes you feel comfortable and confident in his expertise. Overall, a wonderful expereince! I would recommend him to anyone!!

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Hurbis all day long to anyone experiencing ENT needs. While his office visits do run behind schedule frequently, he is worth the wait! He listens to his patients, gives them all the time that they need in exam, provides knowledgeable feedback, explains things thoroughly, and has a friendly, approachable bedside manner! His surgical skills are excellent also.
