Dr. Charles E Hood

I truly love Dr Hood as my family doctor. He had been off and on for 40+ years and exclusively for the last 20. I completely understand Dr. Hood’s desire to retire. However I wish he had handled his exit in a different manner. He retired with no notice to anyone, not even his staff. This left all of his patients hanging trying to find a doctor during this most difficult time of all. When nobody is accepting new patients even if you have to best insurance there is out there.

My son is mentally handicapped, and has seen Dr. Hood for 24 yrs. Dr. Hood has been a good doc in the past, however, everything changed on the last visit. My son went in for he's normal 6 months check up, having no changes in his day 2 day life. I knew that Dr. Hood had been having medical issues, but it was like he was a different person. With no explanation and a rude demeanor, the doc changed all of my son's medications and now my son can't even function. We are now looking for a new doctor.

I have had numerous tumors,anuresium,mini stroke and seizures since 2012.I have a neurologist but he's recommended a family doctor for anxiety and stress.I had cancer cells in 2002 so I had a partial hysterectomy and a few months later had a full one.In 2007i had a fatal car wreck and lost my spleen,had blood transfusion and crushed my shoulder blade and collar bone.I KNOW GOD will get me through this I just need a little help from the experience of a family doctor.thank you
