My son has been lucky and blessed to have Dr. Hemenway as his Oncologist. Dr. Hemenway is knowledgeable, kind, polite, patient and a true professional. He would explain the details of the health condition, would listen to all the questions and explain everything with a lot of patience. You do not feel that you just met him. He would be funny with my son and would listen to his jokes. My son loves him and would prepared himself with new jokes before meeting the Doctor. On a serious note with my son battling cancer, I got so much strength while talking to him. He gave me hope and showed me positivity on my son's treatment. I feel blessed and content that my son is in good hands. I'll always be thankful to you Doctor for treating my son and being a wonderful person. Your attitude with your patients is excellent. Thank You for everything that you did for my sons treatment and for being the kindest Doctor we ever get to know. We as a family will always be thankful to you. God bless you!

Dr. Hemenway is a true hero and helped us tremendously over the course of 5 years with our son. He is excellent in every way, from knowledge to bedside manner, especially in dealing with delicate situations.

My husband and I have never met a physician as kind, compassionate and as generous with his time as Dr. Hemenway. He took his time to answer all of our questions and is very knowledgeable about our son's medical condition. His staff in Loyola Hospital are also very helpful and pleasant especially Angie. I highly recommend him as a pediatrician- hematologist/ oncologist.
