Dr. Charles Bryce Hartley II

My experience with Dr Hartley was disappointing. He doesn’t respond to My Chart, telephone , urgent requests from other physicians. Recommend you see someone else.

I could go on at length, but I will settle for a misdiagnosis of cancer (renal cell carcinoma metastasis to lungs) after 10 minutes of seeing me. No biopsy, nothing. His demeanor was terrible and he heavily pressured my family to make me a DNR. I had pneumonia.

Terrible bedside manner, only saw me for 10 minutes, misdiagnosed pneumonia as cancer and heavily pressured my family to make me a DNR!

I am very impressed as always with the expertise and compassion that is exemplified at Piedmont. I transport my parents from Eatonton Ga to get top notch care ! Everyone in the office was nice and his assistant was very courteous. Dr Hartley sat down and explained everything to us. They went over and beyond up to make our office visit the best ! Dr. Hartley is an outstanding doctor who takes the time to get to know you and discuss your condition in detail and in terms you can understand. Has a very efficient office.

Very smart man, clearly knows his way around a lung. Very affable.

He has been our family pulmonary specialist for many years. He is thorough and uses conservative methods for treatment. He is very pleasant and kind. We have lots of confidence in Dr. Hartley.

shocked at a 1 star rating so I had to submit a quick review. A tremendous doctor - truly cares about his patients. I have interacted with other doctors in the practice too as well as numerous staff and have found them all to be very patient-focused!

I have seen Dr. Hartley for several years for COPD. He has taken very good care of me. He has ordered CAT scans, taken x-rays and always made me feel at ease and cared for. An excellent doctor!

My experience was BAD. Dr. Hartley performed a bronosocpy with biopsy taken from my lung two weeks ago. At my request, he called me with the pathology findings. He said I had small cell lung cancer. this is the worst of lung cancers; most do not live a full year. My own mother died of it , 12 weeks after diagnosis. This was a MISDIAGNOSIS. My oncologist thought so and had the biospied tissue tested again. The reason that a mistake was made was that, Dr. Hartley, did NOT report my history to the pathologist. He failed to mention that I already have Stage 4 metastasized breast cancer. So upon retesting the biopsy and another PET scan it was determined that I DO NOT have lung cancer, but more breast cancer. My family and I lived for the past 12 days wondering if I had less that a year to live. A horrible error. It would have take the doctor less thatn 1 minute to read from my folder to refresh himself on his patient's most important medical status. I reported all of this to Rebecca his office manager, stating that I wished for a call back from the doctor. 6 days later, no return call. Very disappointed in Dr. Hartley. My experience was BAD.
