Dr. Birnbach is obviously well-versed in retina technology. He is friendly and explains one's eye situation clearly. His guidance has helped keep my macular degeneration in check for over ten years.

Fast and great service. With laser retina repair we were done in 90 minutes

Dr Birnbach treats each visit as if I am his most important patient. He has a terrific bedside manner, is so competent in his content area and was the one doctor that was able to diagnose a tricky condition. I totally trust his judgment and abilities. Top notch.

I was in and out with no information told to check with Dr Matney. Thank goodness I have sunglasses in my car. I couldn't see a thing and with the road work I hit one of the orange cones

Excellent care from Dr Birnbach and his team.

Dr. Birnbach is the best he and the others at prolience retina are so friendly and caring. 4 surgeries with them and they have been amazing every time. I alway feel well cared for.

I have been having any eye issue (pain, sensitivity to light, cloudy vision) that we couldn't figure out. My PCP and the ER doctor suggested this clinic and Dr Birnbach was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to revision things in a way that I understood. And he gave me a sample of the medication since he knew the insurance company would take their time on approval. Dr Birnbach is a top notch doctor. He is a very successful specialist and he helped me to be able to see again! He never gave up and he always had wonderful bedside manner and always took the time to answer my questions. He never made me feel rushed and he was very informative and reassuring. I almost did not recognize Dr Birnbach without his scrubs on. That is how I always see him. Very professional and knowledgable. Terrific bedside manner and great personality. He educates you about any concern or procedure that you ask about in an easy to understand manner. I live in south eastern Washington and he meets me in Ellensburg for my after surgery follow up appointments saving me a long trip to Seattle. And did I mention that he has a quick sense of humor? Dr. Birnbach is great. I went to him as a second opinion and decided right away to have him be my main doctor for my retina issues. After his laser treatment, I actually went in quite a few times more just to double-check some flashes I was worried about. He never made me feel bad for doing so even though all was well. And then when my retina did detach in a totally new place, he got me into surgery right away.

Dr Birnbach explained the surgery to me well enough that I felt well informed comfortable making the decision to have it. The surgery went well and I am happy with the follow up care that I am receiving.

After the initial waiting to be called (approx. 40 minutes) my appointment with Dr. Birnbach was efficient and very reassuring. Without promising things he couldn't he described possible scenarios and recommended a follow up in three month, which I scheduled prior to leaving.

Maybe it was the wrong day to visit. The doctor had not reviewed the previous referral information. The doctor did not get to know me as a patient and my approach to health care options. I'm glad I cancelled the return appointment and sought out other diagnoses of my condition. I'm sure if you are someone who just wants to go with the first procedure proposed with little detail, this doctor will be fine. I did not feel like the condition was fully explained, nor that the correction procedure was explained. I actually did not know the doctor's name so called the office back to get that information and what the return visit was for. The front desk is very helpful. After further research, the procedure was not in my comfort zone and I decided to seek out other treatment.

I was very pleased to have Dr. Birnbach and the team of technicians carry out my examination. Everyone exhibited professionalism while remaining approachable and pleasant to deal with.

Dr. Birnbach gets a 10 when it comes to having it all. He is not only knowledgeable. He is kind, compassionate, caring, and makes you feel at ease even when you have a severe problem with your eye. For many year I have trusted CHARLES D BIRNBACH, for my eye care. I do recommend him, he gives you the information and explain the issues and what to expect. The staff is helpful and the clinic is easy in and out. They have all the equipments needed on the premises and they simplified the process. And I thank them for their service.

When I had my annual checkup with Dr. Charles Birnbach, he informed me that surgery was available to correct vision interference caused by posterior vitreous detachment. He also told me that I was a candidate for the surgery despite my severe myopia. I immediately scheduled the surgery and now my field of vision is no longer obliterated. I will arrange surgery for the other eye in the next few months. I was diagnosed with posterior vitreous detachment 20 years ago, and am very grateful that Dr. Birnbach's skill and expertise plus the care of his staff and surgical team allowed me to see clearly again.

I have been very impressed with the care I've received from Dr Birnbach. He has been straight forward with his diagnosis and treatment and thorough in explaining each of my options. Easy manner and clear communication.

I saw Dr.Birnbach a year ago for a retina condition that had gone undiagnosed for 4 years. He was professional, reassuring, and diagnosed me quickly. I had lots of ideas of what I thought I had and he truly listened to me and validated my thoughts, instead of dismissing them, which would have been easy to do. I would recommend seeing him, and I am thankful for the peace of mind he provided me.

Dr. Birnbach is a highly skilled retina specialist and surgeon whose work is excellent. His very balanced recommendations for treatment options are always appreciated and right on target when it comes to making an informed decision. He's also a caring physician who is a pleasure to see. Thanks to this man I am not blind.I had a torn retina 7 years ago and he saved my eyesight.He is also very personalable and very good at what he does.

On Feb 7 218 I had surgery on my right eye for a macular hole. Dr Birnbach also did surgery on my left eye for a detached retina several years ago with great success. My macular hole is now almost closed and vision is getting better and better. Dr Birnbach is a top surgeon. He is patient, professional and always takes the time to discuss your progress and explain the pictures. VRA is a great facility and beautiful surgical facility. I highly recommend Dr Birnbach. The staff is awesome.
