Dr Baldwin is awesome! Both of my babies have had procedures performed by him and he is just amazing. The way he explains everything in detail but at a level anyone can understand is a gift ! Very caring and knowledgeable as well????

So so happy with our experience with Dr Baldwin and his staff. He made the very scary process so easy and not as scary at all. Loved that he was able to explain the diagnosis, the surgery and the aftercare in language that was easily interpreted. He really was able to not only put me at ease but more importantly my daughter felt better understanding what was going on with her body. This astounding pediatrician cured my peritonitis when I was a seven year old in kindergarten, and in just a week, i’ll be starting the 9th grade. It had recently occurred to me that I never got to properly thank this man. I did some digging and found out that this doctor was the one who saved my life. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Baldwin and would definitely advise any family looking for a pediatric to give him a visit, he excels at explaining procedures and calming patients, even those who are undergoing surgery. Went to see Dr Charles Baldwin for a second opinion on a situation with my son. During Our visit Dr Baldwin not only made me feel better about things. Dr Baldwin spoke directly to My child and explained everything and made my child feel more comfortable about the appointment. Dr Baldwin explained everything in detailed and answer every question I had. We're not happy with our son's circumcision. We have to wait to see if another procedure is required to fix it but this is my second son and as I didn't have a good feeling about it from day 1. Also, from what we understand from our health insurance, they caught them sending a duplicate bill. After it was paid out in January and we received another bill, my wife called the insurance to make sure it was paid and then notified Baldwin's staff that it was paid and they said it would be taken care of. Here it is in late May and we just received another bill for the same appointment. We're not happy with our son's circumcision. Dr. Baldwin is a great surgeon! My son was rushed to ER for his appendix and DR. Baldwin and his staff made my son and I feel comfortable about the procedure! The procedure took about an hour! It was my first visit to see Dr. Baldwin with my newborn and toddler. The front desk was incredibly sweet and organized. They got us in fairly quickly. Dr. Baldwin was fantastic. He was thorough in his explanations, and I felt like he truly cared about my child. He explained everything in terms I could understand. We met Dr. Baldwin during an unprecedented time as our 9 year old daughter was admitted to North Central Baptist Hospital under his care. At every visit, Dr. Baldwin showed empathy and concern for our situation, and always explained everything in great detail. He not only talked to me as a parent and thoroughly answered questions, but he also included and directly spoke with my daughter. We had a great experience with Dr. Baldwin and staff when my wife and I took our newborn son in for his circumcision. Dr. Baldwin did a great job with him and went through the process and was very knowledgeable in answering any questions we had. His staff was great to work with and the wait time when we went in for the procedure and follow-up was minimal. We were referred to him by our midwife and would definitely recommend him. Dr. Baldwin was so kind and thoughtful in his initial appointment and all through my son's surgery and the follow up appointment. Based on his assessment and explanation of the procedure, we felt very confident and comfortable with Dr. Baldwin. He is a very special doctor and so glad our pediatrician referred us to him.

When your 4 year old is scheduled for surgery every worst possible thought goes thru your head, I would have been a basket case if it were not for Dr. Baldwin and his amazing staff. I am so thankful for the attention and dedication Dr. Baldwin gave us during every visit and I am appreciative of being seen on time at appointments and sometimes before our scheduled time. The surgery went well and my son was was so excited when Dr. Baldwin let him assist in removing the bandages at the follow up. Dr. Baldwin has circumcised both of my sons, and we had a wonderful experience both times. Dr. Baldwin and his nurse Skye took as much time as needed to explain the procedure first and then talk us through it along the way. Our little ones barely had a clue that anything was even going on! Dr. Baldwin performed my son's circumcision. I couldn't be happier with our experience! His bedside manner was very reassuring in a situation that's a little scary as a mother. His nurse Skye treated my son like he was her own, assisting Dr. Baldwin and comforting my son during the procedure. She also thoroughly explained what to expect following the procedure. At one point I wasn't sure if some redness was normal, and Skye immediately responded to my concerns and was so reassuring. With 40 years of experience in pediatric surgery, Dr. Baldwin is incredibly knowledgeable. He is so kind to all his patients. Not many surgeons are this good at what they do and are still so humble, but Dr. Baldwin is both. Nurse Skye is also very knowledgeable and so caring towards children and parents alike. She spends time going over the entire process of a circumcision, making sure parents understand and feel comfortable. She even gives parents her personal phone number so that if they have any concerns at any time, they can call her. Dr. Baldwin’s office staff is always very kind and courteous as well. Dr Charles Baldwin performed surgery on our son when he was 16 years old. He had adhesions in his abdomen that had formed when he was born due to a surgery performed after birth. Our son’s intestine was wrapped around the adhesions and he was in extreme pain and unable to pass anything. Dr. Baldwin was a miracle worker. He explained to us what was happening with our son, came up with a plan and carried it through. By the grace of God everything went well with the surgery in which Dr Baldwin removed the adhesions with no complications afterwards. His explanations of what was happening and his caring bedside manner was such a huge comfort to us so much during this difficult and stressful time of not knowing what would happen. He was truly a Godsend and our son and we will never forget him. Today our son is 24. He graduated from West Point Military academy one year ago and is now a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. We are so grateful for the gifts that Dr Baldwin has been given.

RUN! It's just shocking!!! This office is not run by professionals! Dr. Baldwin is always too busy to call you back. Even after a surgery procedure. His wife is apparently his nurse as well and is the most unprofessional nurse I have ever come across. Just hangs up in you. Unbelievable! Do your research when involving the care of your child. Skye Baldwin is a nurse working for her husband, Dr. Charles Baldwin. She demonstrated a gross lack of compassion and care operating as the nurse to my child. My son was circumcised recently at their practice. He has always been a very happy and easy-going baby. He is not a big crier and if he cries at all, it is exclusively for a reason that, once addressed, ceases all crying immediately. After the surgery I could not soothe my son. He was in pain and inconsolable for hours. I thought this was probably normal, he did just have surgery after all. To be on the safe side I called Dr. Baldwins office to inquire about his personality change. Skye had specifically stated multiple times that he would not be in any pain whatsoever after going home from the surgery. He seemed obviously in pain to me and I told her as much, with an inquiry on what I should do to help him. Skye became immediately defensive and actually downright nasty. She snapped at me that my child was not in pain, that that was impossible. She stated that my son was crying because he had colic. This was beyond offensive and frankly completely inaccurate. My son is the opposite of colicky. I began to get upset and she told me then that she was really sorry that I was struggling so terribly with all my post partum hormones. I felt completely invalidated as a parent to my baby, their patient. My baby who was suffering in pain, and she did not have the tiniest shred of empathy or care for any of us in my family. I also attempted to speak with Dr. Charles Baldwin at that point, to ask him a few questions about my son's surgical procedure and ensure everything was normal. Skye told me my son and I were not a priority and that he wouldn't be able to speak to us for several days. Never in my life have I been treated by a medical professional the way that Skye Baldwin treated my son and I. It was a degrading and horrible experience. The level of care that my child received was beyond unacceptable. I am reporting her to the Texas Medical Board, and I suggest anyone else who has been abused by Skye Baldwin to do the same. Dr. Baldwin is an excellent pediatric surgeon, did great with my son who had appendicitis and needed a laparoscopic appendectomy. However I have rated his practice 3 stars because of how rude and unprofessional his staff is. Skye was condescending and passive aggressive over the phone, speaking over me and repeating shes done this for 25 years but clearly lost her compassion for her line of work about a decade ago. I called as a concerned parent and was talked down to and interrupted. At one point the receptionist was giving medical advice over the phone which is inappropriate and negligent. It's unfortunate that Dr. Baldwin has these people representing him, i will be seeking another doctor for my son's follow-up, very dissapointed in the ethics of his staff and the way they treat and talk to their patients over the phone. I went in for a circumcision for my 12 week old son and was so nervous and worried for him and she took all of that away. I read all the reviews before I went in with my son having been referred here. I was nervous because of the reviews but was extremely satisfied after my sons procedure. Nurse Skye spent spent at least 20 minutes with me going over the procedure and the recovery. She was very honest about everything, which I appreciated. Dr. Baldwin was great too! After surgery he visited with her several times to make sure she was comfortable. His office has been very quick to respond to us and to other offices to make sure everything is being taken care of. Dr. Baldwin and his staff are amazing! The front staff go out of their way to be helpful. They are also so sweet to the kids! Dr. Baldwin also made my son feel so at ease. He answered all his questions in a way that he understood and made him comfortable. My son had said he was not going to get a surgery but agreed to meet with the surgeon. As soon as we walked out of the consult with Dr. Baldwin, my son said he was ready to schedule the surgery! They are amazing!

When I told him I was uncomfortable with him pulling my son's foreskin back, instead of stopping and explaining what he was doing he reprimanded me, and asked me if I wanted his opinion or not. The nurse Sky was extremely rude w a horrible bedside manner. My baby was screaming in pain within an hour after the circumcision was completed. My baby never screams for no reason. If he's hungry and cries, he stops when he eats. If he has a dirty diaper and cries, he stops when I change him. Nothing was helping him. He would not stop screaming and crying. He cried the entire time he was eating after. I called the office to inquire about it and that nurse SKY came on the phone and started snapping at me that everything was perfect with the circumcision and that he just has colic! Our son at just 5 days old had to have a procedure performed due to a small-bowel obstruction. Receiving news like that was devastating and a nightmare for us. After meeting Dr.Baldwin we were extremely satisfied with the time he took to explain the procedure step by step along with making us feel comfortable and confident that all will go smoothly. Dr.Baldwin is an amazing surgeon and it was a pleasure to have met him. We are forever grateful for him and his dedication to pediatrics.
