I am incredibly impressed with Dr. Velázquez . I took my great aunt to her appointment today. He took his time, he was friendly, he has excellent bedside manner. He even helped her get her jacket on. He asked me if I had any questions, he took the time to explain to me her condition. Wonderful experience. This is the first time I’ve taken my great aunt there and she says he is just like that at every appointment. He gave us options based on how her condition can develop. He appears knowledgeable to the extent of my knowledge in the subject (I didn’t go to Med school :) ). He even took the time to walk us to X-ray. Many physicians just don’t have the expertise along with the bedside manner, so this was refreshing.

Dr. Velazquez listened, asked me questions and was never in a hurry. Very caring. He asked me questions about my family that he remembered from previous visits with him. He has helped me feel better which is what I was needing. I recommend him highly!

He was barely better than Doctor Siva, and I saw him in the same clinic at Columbia, MO. Neither "Doctors" seem to know anything about Lupus!! USELESS!!!

Dr V helped my mother tremendously! I am so grateful that we found him. I believe under his care her quality of life increased greatly. Thanks so much Dr. V!

Have never met the guy, but trying to get an appointment in the MU Health system is frustrating. I was diagnosed in 2012 with RA. When we moved from IL to MO, I needed to develop a relationship with a new rheumatologist. After you jump through the hoops of providing 3 years of medical history to him, he takes weeks to review before you can get an appointment with any rheumatologist in the MUHealth system. His premise is that he doesn't want to waste your time and he needs to determine who you should see. I've wasted so much time just trying to get an appointment. Tried to get my husband an appointment but after jumping through the same hoops, he wanted information that was already provided to him. Bottom line is the appointment person can't make you an appointment without his approval so we went looking for a different doctor. Great place, friendly, gets the work done quick, if I need anything else for my car I know I will be going here.

My daughter waited 2 months for an appt and this Dr.--he was a complete waste of her time. If you want answers DON'T waste your time on this guy.

Dr. Vaelazquez only saw us for 2 minutes. Ignored all symptoms. Put vaselune on fingers. Stated it was not his problem. Will not go back

He is friendly and an expert in his field. The other reviewers expect him to be some wizard doctor that can treat symptoms outside of his area of expertise.

Waited 2 months for an appt and it was a complete waste of time. Got absolutely NOTHING out of this appointment.

Referred to Vasquez by Doctor Despain . Vasquez sent his student into the room to examine me. Vasquez was not with him during the examination. The student was trying to put me on a another round of steroids. Me and Tonya told him that we had to find the root of the problem but he did not want to hear what we had to say. I have been on 4 rounds of steroid cream and prednisone and it had done nothing but make my condition worse. So when the student left the room for the third time we left. I am done with University Quacks. All they are trying to do is drane your insurance and not fix the problem. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Saw Dr Hassan, they screwed up my medicine! I asked specifically who was going to write them I was told that my primary care would! No letter about medications sent to my doctor

Really has a terrible cursory bedside manner, the man says ok like 59 times.

I find him pleasant to work with, very caring and competent.
