Avoid this doctor at all costs. She focuses her time on analyzing patients’ mental status rather than focusing on the patients’ physiological condition, and discredits patients’ concerns, almost to the point of mocking patient complaints. Her demeanor was ingenious, with little compassion, providing substandard care.

Have a diagnosis of MS based off MRI's. Radiology showed increased lesions compared to the previous images, and all findings consistent with MS. Primary looked at images,stated the same thing. Another GP looked at images independent of the report from primary & gave same conclusion. Ellison she said she was unsure of MS, wanted a lumbar puncture. I felt that she didn't want to accept other's opinions and was milking insurance. Poor rapport building skills, and not patient attuned.

Dr Catherine Ellison misdiagnosed me and refused to refer me for an MRI. I saw another neurologist a month later who sent me for an MRI which showed I needed surgery. From surgery I got partially better, but neurosurgeons said if I was diagnosed and treated sooner, I might have recovered much better. She is nice but was not competent.

I had to repeat myself several times in order for her to understand my concerns and problems. She appeared to right off my concerns, and after becoming frustrated I became emotional and distraught. I did not feel my concerns were ever addressed, and I felt I was ignored.
