Dr. Degood was over 20 minutes late to my appointment and did not read my intake papers which was completed in a previous one-hour long appointment. She did not have thorough documentation on different treatment options for my condition and didn't even provide a top three medication recommendations. Dr. Degood finished the appointment requesting me to let her know which medication that I would like her to write a prescription and she would fulfill. It felt like she was handing me a blank prescription pad. I would not recommend seeing this doctor.
I saw her when i was in rehab. She is excellent . I went in on 9 meds and left on 4, most importantly she is not judgmental
Great no bullsh*t doctor. What you need when you are in treatment for Chemical Dependency.

My son was given an apt w this person. It was a waste of our time and the trip to N. K. I'm not sure how one becomes an "addiction specialist" or that it is an appropriate title for her. Her approach to cannabis use seems to be to lump it all together in one category. A little searching of Google scholar will tell you otherwise. We were lead to believe we would be seeing someone who could look into medication for his diagnosed issues, and maybe help him quit his pot use. When we mentioned that, she said she does not prescribe..... Not personable, not helpful.... We went to this apt with some hope, we left there feeling defeated. My son was given an apt w this person. Awesome.
My experience as a patient of Dr. Degood has been great. She's very friendly and softspoken. It usually takes a while for me to feel comfortable with someone new, but I already feel at ease because she knows what she's talking about and I trust her judgment. She's just awesome, she's the only doctor who has ever acknowledged the existence and lengthiness of benzodiazepine withdrawal. She treats me like I'm a person and not just a drug seeker. Anyway, I highly recommend her. You'll love her!
