By far the worst doctor I have ever had. Kept going in hope he would get imaging done and take proper action to help control my knee pain. Referring Doc in his clinic xrays showed near bone on bone 18 months prior to seeing him. Did meniscus tear clean up and lateral release for knee derangement 2 months after initial visit. Asked him if he thought we should get new imaging at initial visit since it had been a while. He said no, cleaning the tear up usually helps with the inflammation and the joint may recover to point of getting a few more years out of it. Told him it felt like bone on bone pain. He wrote me off and I'm an RN. Surgery and subsequent PT came and went. I got back to work. Pain as bad as it was prior to surgery. Several months of visits over 2020. He acted like I was a new patient everytime. Like he didn't even know me. I had told him on more than 1 occasion that I'm a nurse and daughter is registered dietician as he seemed to push for me to go to a weight-loss clinic, and I had lost 90 pounds walking and riding my bike a few years ago. My weight kept packing on due to mobility issues secondary to pain. Fall of 2020 he was agreeable to trying gel shots after a friend told me about hers. They didn't even help a whole evening. Upon returning to him again 2 visits after the gel shots I told him how I now had right hip pain. He wanted to do an MRI of left knee. Ignored my hip pain. The imaging facility lost the order and by the time they called back I was too busy with work and holidays so I planned to wait until January this year. I called to ask if he could add on imaging for my hip. His assistant said there was nothing in his notes about my hip pain. Told her I'm not surprised because he seems unfamiliar with me even after seeing him for over a year and every visit seemed like I'm a new patient. She said it didn't surprise her and she would talk to him about hip imaging. He added on bilateral hip xrays. Imaging done, follow up visit he still continued to evade calling my left knee bone on bone even though the radiology MD called it that. Then he told me hip xrays show early arthritis and lower lumbar moderate degenerative. So as a logically thinking person, it seems to me had I had adequate pain treatment my mobility could have improved and maybe a weight gain of around 35-40 lbs could have been a weight loss of the same. Maybe the degenerative spine as I have had a messed up gait for so long now could have been avoided. I am starting water PT today for knee and back. Thanks to my 2 awesome new doctors who recommend water PT as I am unable to do regular PT now due to deconditioning. Through all the pain having used so much ibuprofen as this doc kept wanting to try meds we already knew did nothing. What a freaking train wreck this has become. I also have probable MS and all of this has launched me into what appears to be a 4th relapse with new and worsening symptoms. If you go to this doctor. Run, don't walk to the nearest exit if he does not remember you by your 3rd visit, does not adequately treat your pain and keeps recommending meds that have not worked. And if you are gaining weight despite a strenuous full time job...know it is not your fault. You are doing the best you can to keep going. Just stop going to him. Things will not change in his care. At the end of my last visit over a year of treatment he finally did cortisone shots. Then asked on his way out of the room, what do you do for a living? I'm a pediatric homecare nurse (told him at least 4 times before) and RN. Then as I was still in the hall in a dead office, I was filling out a release of info form to get my chiropractor xrays sent over. His male assistant standing beside me...when I heard Dr. Starsiak talking loudly from the other room..."well you know what her bmi (aka fat for those not familiar) is up to!" Looking back, I'm not sure how this doctor continues to be part of a thriving business. By far the worst doctor I have ever had. Kept going in hope he would get imaging done and take proper action to help control my knee pain. Referring Doc in his clinic xrays showed near bone on bone 18 months prior to seeing him. Did … More

Dr. Starsiak has rushed all three of the appointments I have had with him. At the most he will spend only 5 minutes with you. Not once did I feel fully satisfied at the end of each appointment from a patient perspective. He scrambles over discussing x-rays, diagnoses, treatment plans, and etc. It also seems as if he barely or doesn't even look over patient charts before entering the room since I have had to repeat the same information about my medical history and concerns to him at every appointment. I did receive the treatment I wanted which was a steroidal injection for my shoulder pain, but I still had some discomfort. During the follow-up appointment, he seemed to brush off my concerns about how I felt after the injection and told me to take ibuprofen and just left me hanging. Did not have any consolidating words on if the shoulder will eventually get better over time or anything along those lines, just seemed to rush out of the room after he told me he can't do anything else.

1st impressions: didn’t like him one bit. 5 min. late and we were told to be there 30min early for X-ray)which was late also. Spent 10 min and wanted to send us up to North side for ct scan. No dice. I’m not about to take client to north end of town. Plus door ways to offices , hallways, are not big enough for a BIG Wheelchair for a BIG (my client). They need more clearance. Main doors to get in with wheelchair not set up properly for entering or exiting. They need to stay open longer for this to take place.(building owner should be made aware of it) I have pushed many a wheelchair and this wasn’t easy.

My fist appointment with C Starsiak was very uncomfortable. He was unfriendly and very short. I felt like I was bothering him.. I didn’t understand my injury completely when I walk out, because I was so uncomfortable with his behavior that I just wanted to leave. My next appointment, again I felt rushed. He suggested I get a cortisone shot. The shot hurt, but nothing I couldn’t handle. About five hours later my arm started hurting . By around 7 I was in tears. I called his on call doc, it suggested he had one, and there wasn’t one. I went to the immediate care, because I thought something was wrong. The doc there said that he has given many cortisone shots and never seen this happen. I couldn’t use my arm for at least 2 days because it hurt so bad I couldn’t move it. Couldn’t drive, couldn’t sleep! I only used my left hand. I would describe the pain as throbbing. I forgot to mention, I was asked to review him after the first appointment. I gave an honest review. When I’m asked to give a review 99% of the time they are positive! My fist appointment with C Starsiak was very uncomfortable. He was unfriendly and very short. I felt like I was bothering him..
