Dr. Cary S Siegel

This is my awful experience with doctor Cory Siegel. 3 hours to show up! I had my 1 month son spitting out breast milk with some blood in it. He spit out 3 times that day 1-3 mm pieces of blood in breast milk. We arrived by 12:30am on oct 2nd to NYC Presbyterian queens hospital(emergency room). We were placed in the room. Doctor Siegel Cary md, was working that night. First person who came to see us was a nurse. Nurse said that he (doctor Siegel Cary md) is going to see us soon and he is aware of issue with my son, he appeared probably in 1:30-2 hours later. I saw him spending time on the phone and smiling all the time. When he finally came to our room he said to remove clothes from Maxim and he will be right back to check him, he came back 40min later, I saw him speaking on the phone, laughing and speaking to students while Maxim was getting cold without clothing. It seems like he wasn't willing to help us. When he finally came 3hours later after we arrived and listened to me he said that he needs to do vitamin K shot, and might be 3 more shots later , they did only once, but he didn't do any blood work yet, it looked suspicious and I didn't agree because i didn't trust him, I wanted to do quick research about amount of vitamin K and if we have any other options. He brought security to our room' door and said that he is going to call police if I disagree. Also he called to children protection service and opened the case. While I had a few minutes I did research and found that vitamin K in amount he said he was going to do might not be safe for Maxim, and there is alternative to it vitamin K drops which we can give him orally. It took me 15min do find this information and get back to doctor Cary Siegel. I went to his desk and question him about this option, he said that it is not going to work because it doesn't absorb as quick as injection would and we can't take a risk and I agree to proceed with vitamin shot because it sounded right to me. They did vitamin K shot, and took at least 4 blood works during next 20hours. My son was discharged next day but we still have a problem because that cps case. Awful doctor had to wait for him for 3 hours while my some was spit out with blood and he was aware about it. While we were waiting he was spending time with students, laughing and smiling. Worst experience.
