Dr. Cary L Lacefield

In my opinion Lacefield is unqualified to make any medical assessments. My first encounter with her was in 2009 while seeing Mandi, the nurse practitioner, she interjected by questioning why I needed an additional diuretic refill since I had recently been prescribed a new diuretic due to excessive fluid retention. After she questioned me, she asked me if I had ever been treated for an eating disorder?? As I sat there shocked and answered no, I told her I eat more than most grown men and she could feel free to check my teeth. My second encounter was August 1, 2017. I hurt my neck, needed a referral for an MRI. I usually see Angela, her PA, but she wasn’t there that day and I just needed to get a referral so I didn’t think it would be that big of a deal to see Lacefield. When she came in the room, she asked me if I was there looking for pain pills. Again, I was shocked….. I said, “No, I just need a referral for an MRI.” And she followed up with, Im not going to give you any pain pills??? I just needed a referral for an MRI to see what was going on with my neck. There was a third encounter, but it involved my mother so I will not post about that issue. If it weren’t for Angela Barlow, PA, I would’ve NEVER gone to this joke of a clinic!! If you go, see Angela. She’s an intelligent, QUALIFIED professional!

I chose Ms. Lacefield because of location, her claim of being a Christian medical provider, and her being on my insurance provider's approved list.  I was hoping to find a compassionate, PATIENT-oriented doctor. Unfortunately, this was NOT the case. At my initial visit, Ms. Lacefield presented as gentle, meek, and very attentive. I liked her.  As long as I responded to her with great deference she was pleasant and available. BUT, as soon as I questioned her, or voiced personal needs and/or opinions different than hers AND the "guidelines" set forth by my insurance provider; her demeanor and  kind of care changed. I was told that my "unwillingness to take certain (unnecessary) medications, (to participate in wellness surveys and screenings would make her look bad to the insurance provider." I chose Dr. Lacefield to provide support,  expertise, and treatment for MY health and wellness and to prescribe what is BEST for ME.  I contract my insurance provider to assist me in accessing and paying for that medical expertise and treatment.  Insurance does not get to dictate MY medical treatment.  I do.  I suspect there is monetary incentive from the insurance providers to ensure Ms. Lacefield's compliance with THEIR protocol rather than what is best for her patients. Dr. Lacefield is not upholding her self-sworn oath  to prescribe only beneficial treatments, according to his/her abilities and judgment; to refrain from causing harm or hurt; and to live an exemplary personal and professional life. You as the patient, will NOT be her priority as my experience verifies. I do not recommend her.

Very accommodating when I have a health problem. Can get an appointment pretty quickly and the staff are all very friendly. Dr Lacefield and Angela are very professional but also very caring.

I dont recommend her!!!! was a patient of Dr Lacefield for years my insurance changed so I had to choose another PCP(not by choice) I was with another doctor for two years on the same medication for those two years I got a chance to finally choose my PCP and wanted to go back to Dr. Lakefield because of location only and was turned down because of the medications I am on the same medications I was on when I was her patient that she put me on .I found out through my cousin who is in the medical field that she can't keep PA''s working for her, you almost always see a PA not her anyway alot her equipment is very old half the time the exray machine is broke down. Dr Lacefield is a very caring doctor. She has helped find a solution to my ongoing health issues. Her PA, Angela, is also very caring and very thorough.

She is a wonderful doctor. She has taken care of my father for years. When needed she has never hesitated to send him too a specialist if needed. I love out of state and it is a comfort to know he is in good hands.

I have entrusted my medical care to Angelo Bartlow P.A., for the last six years. I have recommended Mrs. Bartlow to my immediate family, coworkers and friends. Mrs. Bartlow has provided the highest level of professional medical care not only to myself but my family. I have had the pleasure of seeing some of the most esteemed physicians in the past but none have provided the expertise and compassion that my family and i have been blessed with from the first minor medical issue. I cannot praise Mrs. Bartlow and her very cordial staff enough for the kindness and actual commitment to finding a medical resolve each and every time we need medical attention! Over nearly 20 years, my experience has been that Dr. Lacefield is a very caring physician. She is patient and attentive when listening to my health concerns and very thorough with diagnosis and treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Lacefield.

This rating should really be less than 1. I called in to get an appointment. After giving full name, list of health issues, MEDS, insurance, address, phone no., SSN, BD- I was told they would call me back. When they called back, I was told they couldn't meet my needs. But wasn't told what needs they couldn't meet. The POINT is- they could have answered all of their questions with asking 1st name, age, health problems, meds, and insurance. If you would like to be treated with respect and kindness Don't go here. They lost my lab results 3 times. Won't call in scripts, won't return calls! Went there once with a severe finger cut was told she didn't know how to see it up! Rude staff. Hang up on you. Saw them out a lady on hold and laughed and made fun of her. Then disconnected the phone. Nasty exam rooms. Yuk. Find another Dr. Please. Can't diagnose anything correct.
