Dr. Carsten Erich Kampe

Dr. Kampe has been my oncologist for five years. He is up to date on treatments and discusses options with me. And he listens to what I say and feel. I highly recommend him to any person with cancer in his areas of expertise.

I have been seeing Dr. Kampe since 2005 for cancer treatment and follow-ups. Dr. Kampe is always very attentive, kind, and caring during our appointments. He spends considerable time answering my questions, and his calm demeanor always helps allay my health anxieties. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and informed about cancer care and the current research regarding treatments. I wish that he, although an oncologist, could be my primary physician as well. I will always give him my highest recommendation. He is the only physician I actually look forward to seeing!

I'm so glad Dr. Kampe is back from his leave of absence. He's a great doctor - very attentive and a great listener. He explains things thoroughly, and he also has a good sense of humor. I look forward to my visits with him as much as one can "look forward" to an oncologist appointment. ;-)

I have been a patient of Dr. Kampe since 2001 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. He is an excellent doctor, extremely caring, and I would recommend him to anyone who receives such a devastating diagnosis. He spends time answering questions, providing comfort and confidence that he will be with you all the way.

What can I say about Dr. Kampe and his staff, there isn’t enough space to put everything that is positive here? In September 2, 2020 I met with Dr. Kampe after being diagnosed with non-small cell Stage 3 Lung Cancer he laid out the plan to treat the tumor in my left lung. After extensive Radiation and Chemotherapy, the plan was to start an infusion every two weeks for one year letting my own blood cells fight the cancer. So many are on the team making sure all of the bases are covered, Today here in 2022, I am still here and feeling very good. Thank you Dr. Kampe!

I was remiss in my review of Dr. Kampe's staff in not specifically calling out his nurse Rachael. I have always found her patient, kind, compassionate, and very conscientious! It was perfect, from my teleconference with NP Manti, to the bloodwork, and throughout the infusion process. Everyone was friendly, professional and competent. There was some minor confusion on getting the prep drug to me, but it was quickly fixed.

We were thinking of moving out of state but realized we’d have to leave Dr. Kampe and that’s not happening. When you go through cancer, you are establishing a lifelong relationship with your oncologist. On time visit and all questions answered

My visits with with Dr. Kampe have always been pleasant and informative. He discusses the current blood results and asks pertinent questions about changes in my health since last visit, etc. He answers any questions I have regarding my medical plan.

Dr. Kampe has been my Oncologist for over Four years now. During this time, he has shown a great desire to, not only treat the physical part of me, but also the mental part, by listening closely to my ideas and advice; and by implementing unique strategies for recovery. I strongly believe that in order to beat cancer, one must start the whole person, both physical, mental and spiritual and Dr. Kampe has allowing and participated in doing just that. Very good bed manners. He’s knowledgeable, experienced in his field, courteous and friendly.

The first thing I noticed about Dr. Kampe were the family pictures in his offices. He was willing to share his love of nature and gardening with me. He was calm, patient and listened to me and my husband when we talked to him and very understanding in what I wasn't saying. Always giving me an opportunity to say something I might not want to say. My diagnosis was an unexpected surprise to my surgeon and me, had a recommended procedure not been done. I was still feeling this when I first saw Dr. Kampe and he acknowledged it. My treatment was rough. I am now 2 years cancer free. He still hasn't changed and goes over all post treatment tests but I share more of my interests and he told me about his big flower while heartily laughing. I would recommend Dr. Kampe, he explains your treatment knowing you/family need time to adjust and mental turmoil you may feel. All the staff that you meet: appointments, NP's, MA's, lab, radiology, chemo are there for you. Thank you Dr. Kampe

I felt safe in that I was the only one in the reception area, and all the staff wore masks. Dr. Kampe was on time, pleasant but professional. He took the time to go over recent tests results and explain the items that were not in the normal range.

I don't even know where to start. Dr. Kampe is just an amazing doctor. He's been a great partner in my cancer treatment for almost 20 years now. I first met him in 2000 when I had my first breast cancer adventure. He was logical and informative and laid out a treatment plan. When my breast cancer resurfaced in 2002 in my liver, earning me a stage iv diagnosis.. he was right there the whole time. The first weekend we were in constant email contact, as he shepherded me though that first traumatic period. He is always up on the research and is willing to look beyond the standard treatment if it doesn't fit. He's no nonsense where it matters. He has an intelligence and a sense of humor that you rarely see. The only problem is he's ruined me for other doctors since none of them are nearly as good!

Terrible and insensitive physician and staff.

Dr. Kampe is the absolute best. Brilliant, insightful, caring and truly compassionate. 11 years and never more grateful for his care.

Dr. Kampe is simply the best guy to have on your team. If I could give him 10 stars here, i would do so. From his level of communication, his profound knowledge of this evil disease, and his genuine kindness, I cannot recommend Dr. Kampe more highly.

They went above and beyond - answering emails on the weekends, taking interest in my dad’s hobbies, trying to drop off medicine at the house, and so on.
