I found Dr Pace and Dr. Silverman office after my Rheumatologist rejected my insurance. The office staff is friendly. From my first appt to 3 years later I wonderful respect for both Dr. Pace and Dr. Silverman. They listen and were able to confirm my disease though very little positive labs. Dr. Pace is will to listen and take as much time with her patients. Even when the staff are trying hard to keep her on track. Both Doctors are willing to listen to ideas and medications I was looking to try. They didn't mind I had done research. I felt they listened and willing wanted to help me find the best path for my recover. The office staff, nurses, and everyone there are wonderful. Even though they no longer take my new insurance I am paying out of pocket because I feel this is one of the best Rheumatologist Office in the valley. Dr Pace has been the best doctor I've had. I never feel rushed, she listens to all my concerns, and she is very knowledgeable about my health conditions. I would highly recommend her for any Rheumatology needs!

Dr. Pace has been my rheumatologist for several years now. It took a few years to find a physician that took the time to listen and determine a plan of action (not just a prescription for the latest and most expensive drug). Dr. Pace is warm, asks questions, and actually listens to the answers. She is open-minded to new approaches, as well as knowledgeable about standard treatments. I have never felt rushed at my visits and leave feeling confident and hopeful. Autoimmune disease takes its toll, both emotionally and physically. I can't imagine NOT having Dr. Pace on my team.

Dr Pace has been my go to Luous/RA Dr for five years. She is always on top of my illnesses and keeps meticulous track of its progression and remission. She is very easy to talk with and discuss concerns. I am very pleased with her as an intricate part of my medical team.

Dr. Pace is highly respected and sought out by many autoimmune patients. She is knowledgeable and compassionate. I appreciate that she does not push every medication on me that is available on the market. Some physicians will write a script if you sneeze and never try to identify the ideology. I am grateful to be in her care!

Dr. Pace was the first doctor who believed how much pain I was in. After years of struggling with joint pain, and months of severe joint pain, Dr. Pace helped me finally get some relief. Her front office is excellent - kind, smart, hard-working. Diane battles the insurance companies so you can afford your treatment (some of these drugs are incredibly expensive). It feels like a breath of fresh air to find a team who really care about the patient. I don’t do a lot of reviews, I’m writing this in the hopes that it may help another patient. Dr. Carolyn Pace is a superior doctor. She is the only Rheumatologist I would consider seeing. She is an excellent diagnostician, answers my questions thoughtfully, and treats me with respect. It’s great having her as my doctor because she is knowledgeable and fully versed in the latest information. I highly recommend her.

I went to Dr. Carolyn Pace's office over a year ago, and at that time had United Health Insurance. I was asked by my kidney doctor to go back to her for testing. Her office took my copay, took a copy of my insurance card, and did not tell me at either appointment that I am now out of network. I sat for over an hour at each appointment. Doctor Pace did not review my chart before she came in. She ordered tests to see if I have Lupus. When the test results came back, and it was evident she had not seen the results before. She explained that most things in the results lead her to believe I do not have Lupus, except for one of the indicators on one of the tests. She had to look up on Google, (in front of me) what one of the tests meant. She said that she could not give a confirmation of what my diagnosis was. I was then charged for out of network pricing. I called to let them know they made a mistake, but they refused to take care of any of the charges. Terrible experience.

She ordered a test to be done a few months from then, and sent me on my way. I have been to many doctors, and this was the worst experience I have ever had. A few months later I got a bill for out of network pricing. I should have been made aware that my coverage was not longer accepted at their office. I would have never gone to these appointments, and would have found a Dr. in my coverage. I have contacted their office, and was told by billing that they believe that they should have let me know that my visit would not have been covered. They said they will try to have the girls at the front desk inform people that they would be out of coverage. I believe that I should not have to pay out of network pricing when the office agrees that they should have informed me that they do not take my coverage. They took my card, made a copy, and took my copay. I am a teacher, and have many health issues. I do not make much money, and would struggle to try to pay this bill.

Dr. Pace is wonderful. She was extremely thorough, went over all my history and symptoms, and was actually able pinpoint the cause of my pain. I've seen so many doctors over the past 20 years, and none of them were able to figure out what was causing my pain. A lot of them didn't take it seriously, or acted like it wasn't possible for me to be having such extreme pain. Dr. Pace not only believed me, but really understood the toll that constant chronic pain has on a person. I was seeing Dr. Pace for well over a year and half I loved her at first, but then she started to get weird and said I needed god in my life, when I told her i wasn’t interested she kinda got upset. So I kinda just brushed it off. When I tried to make a follow up this year, I called in February to make an appointment the girl that answered the phone wants only rude but seriously incompetent. She said they’d give me a call right back, they had to check with Dr. Pace, but didn’t tell me why they needed too. I’m still waiting for a call back. Also this isn’t the first time I’ve been waiting for a call back, this is like the 5th time I was promised a call back. Don’t go to her, she’s not worth it

5 stars for Dr. Pace, but only about 3 for her office, which is pretty immature and incompetent. She's good at what she does, very thorough and considerate, and explains everything. Her staff, however, does a poor job of managing. Every scheduled appointment involves a very long wait. I was told this when she was recommended to me by a friend, so I expected it, but it's still very frustrating. However, when you get past her staff to her, it's worth the wait.

I was referred to Dr Pace by my primary physician. When I contacted Dr Pace’s office for an appointment, I was told they would not make an appointment for me until they received ALL my records from my primary physician, my previous primary physician, and my previous rheumatologist (I had just moved to Arizona a few months prior). After I had requested all the records sent to Dr Pace, I called to follow up, they said they were still waiting on some records and could not make the appointment until everything had been received. I checked with my physicians and they reported they had sent all the records. After several days I again attempted to make an appointment and was told somebody would call me back soon. Over a week later I received a phone call from my primary physician telling me Dr Pace’s office had contacted them and said they would not take me as a new patient because the doctor was too busy. The process took over a month to find out they would not be taking me. Furthermore, every contact I had with their office, their staff was uninterested in anything I had to say and was abrupt.Very poor customer service! I was referred to Dr Pace by my primary physician. I work for my ppo insurance and because I work, I asked his grandmother to take him for this office visit. My son was recently diagnosed with lupus. My mother has been going to Dr. Pace for years. I am not sure why we have allowed my mom to stay as her patient. Her staff is without doubt the worst staff a Dr. could have. They do not return calls, they do not let you make another appointment while you are there. Either they do not give her the messages you leave her, or she just does not bother to return your calls. All in All, you get a real sense of "we could car less" from her and her staff. We are currently looking for another Dr.

She was ok until I had a crisis and needed her help for the additional pain I was suffering. Then she was suddenly and strangely unavailable. She told her staff to tell me she was not there (a lie). Then she dropped me as a patient by mail. She actually and for no reason accused me of selling the drugs she was prescribing for my fibromyalgia! Stupid and uninformed.

The Dr's office staff is almost completely inept. The answering system, which is active 110% of the time, routes calls off into space. Calls are rarely returned timely. Sometimes not at all. Prescription refills are promised, but very rarely delivered without callback after callback.

Dr. Pace is the most patient-focused doctor I have ever experienced. She allows a extended period of time for each visit. Dr. Pace is professional, organized and respectful. I'd recommend her to anyone.

Contrary to the other patients reviews, Doctor Pace gives each patient the time that is needed. Yes, our wait time may be past our appointed time, but she has never rushed my time. She takes time to listen and she is very thorough regardless of others comments. When I was diagnosed with active RA, it took several months to get in to see any specialist. I was being treated by another practice who placed me on medications, and their suggestion for pain was injections. Although I am grateful for the one flare up that put me in the emergency room, it took three days to calm down that flare up. I was on medication and was breaking out in rashes and in pain, their comment was to eliminate one medication at a time. When getting to the point of no return again in pain, I walked into that office. They did see me (PA), but I didn't get anywhere except to give me prednisone, do a blood workup and said to come back again in a few weeks. It was then that I asked what was in the medications that I was taking to which I was allergic to an ingredient in the medication. I was in a scooter, unable to walk any distance and was in bed 9/10ths of the time. At this time my husband went to Dr. Pace's office and they worked me in within days. She took me off the prednisone and gave me a time released prednisone. Easier on the body and around the clock relief. She also did a blood workup and discovered that somewhere I had been exposed to TB. I was then sent to a specialist and began a 10 month regiment to keep me from becoming active. Over this time, I was able to adjust the medication to control my pain and to begin to reduce the medication in order to get off the medication. Dr. Pace is aggressively taking steps to turn around the RA to becoming inactive. Dr. Pace is very personable, and she is one of the very best doctors in the valley. The other practice had multiple PA's and only once in awhile could you see the actual doctor. She is extremely good at what she does. She is a Rheumatologist and she doesn't have PA's. If you have RA, Dr. Pace is the doctor to gain control of your pain and get your life turned back around. It takes time, but soon you too will be at they gym regaining your strength, and dusting off the scooter rather than using it. Dr. Pace is the BEST! I Highly recommend her!!!!!!!! I have been seeing Dr. Pace for 4 years now. She diagnosed that I have not only Fibromyalgia but ALSO Polymyalgia, a situation that another rheumatologist had not diagnosed. She helps me live my daily life more fully and is compassionate and caring when I need her help. Yes, she does urine checks for overuse of narcotics, and I appreciate this, as it is a safety net for both of us. Sometimes it is hard to get an appointment with any specialist who has a thriving practice. I have found that if I ask to be on their cancellation list, they call me when they have an available appointment and it is usually pretty quick. Just have to ask. I recommend Dr. Pace as a compassionate, knowledgeable doctor. I have been seeing Dr. Pace for 4 years now. Dr Pace was an hour late for this person's initial appt. and then kept looking at her watch. She told this patient that to many medications were being prescribed. She then prescribed another medication for this patient to take that is not protocol for what it was to be used for. This patient had specific pain for which she went in to see Dr Pace about. Dr Pace did not address the pain. This patient called 3 days later about worsening pain and was told to make another appt to address the pain. The next available appt was in 3 weeks! Dr Pace said she would not prescribe medication over the phone and then went into detail about urine testing for narcotics etc. This doc dropped the ball with this patient as vital info was not talked about at the appt. This doc barely did an exam on this patient, not sure how she could diagnose without an exam. This patient couldn't believe this was a specialist as her regular GP was more adept at understanding this patients concerns than this so called specialist. Be careful when selecting this doc as it could be a waste of your time. Dr Pace was an hour late for this person's initial appt. and then kept looking at her watch. She was able to do nothing for me and told me, "well you know there's no cure for lupus so I don't know what you want me to do". And then she tried to recommend benlysta, the mayo clinic highly recommends AGAINST benlysta.... yes I got a second opinion. All this woman did was confirm that I have lupus. Well, duh, I already knew that. What I need is help with the pain, and confusion episodes and the visual problems. How does this make her a quality doctor in any way?
