Dr. Carol Anne Wheeler

Dr Wheeler helped us through our IVF experience and we now have a beautiful, healthy baby. We appreciate all that her office did for us and will be forever grateful for the greatest gift of all.

First appointment was okay, the second was awful. Diagnosed with PCOS and Hashimoto’s after going to the metabolic clinic which was recommended during my first visit. Dr. Wheeler was very focused on my BMI at the second visit and strongly implied that she would not treat me unless I lost weight, something that was definitely not implied at the first visit. She recommended that I put a picture of a baby on my fridge so I could ask myself which one (meaning food or the baby) was “really worth it to me”. Seeing my appalled reaction to that, she then suggested that I could put a picture of a skinnier version of myself for inspiration and when I said I didn’t have one, she said that maybe I could put a picture of someone I wished I looked like....promptly cancelled my follow-up and got an appt with another clinic.

Appalled that she is allowed to work for a clinic with women who are struggling to have a child and deserve care and compassion because she does NOT have either of those things. She is beyond rude and ignorant. All of the other drs are amazing but dr wheeler is just awful.

If you want to see a doctor who judges you by your appearance after a 10 minute visit, she’s your doctor. Very condescending and belittling and talks over you.

She doesn't make eye contact, but stares at her computer during consultations (I've had 2 with her). Also, in both meetings with her she checked her phone mid-conversation, without an excuse me or I'm sorry about that, which I found just plain rude. I asked about going back on anxiety/depression meds during treatment and she had to look up the meds on the internet to find out their safety during pregnancy, and then recommended one that most docs say to stay away from.
