Dr. Montoya , Dr. Mendizabal and the surgical coordinator are all AMAZING people! I walked into this office and was immediately pleased. The office is clean , staff is bilingual and kind, parking is available and most of all the timeliness and professionalism are above and beyond. The only regret I have is not choosing him as my ophthalmologist sooner. I had Lasik surgery and Dr. Montoya made sure he explained the procedure thoroughly, and made me feel very comfortable and calm during the entire process. HORRIBLE! Scheduled an appointment WEEKS in advance. I received a call the day before my appointment to “confirm” my appointment for a totally different day then what was originally scheduled. Since I needed to see the doctor urgently I agreed. When I arrived I waited over an hour to be seen by a nurse. After they did a simple check-in, I waited an additional 30 minutes for the doctor. A total of an hour and a half of just sitting and waiting even though I had an appointment! All that wait only to be seen by doctor Montoya who is one of “the best” doctors only to be seen for literally ONE MINUTE!! I had meibomian gland dysfunction and my left eye was in horrible, sharp pain (which I communicated to the nurse and to the doctor several times). All doctor Montoya did was convince me to buy an overpriced heat mask from the front desk for $50 (which retails for $20 on Amazon) only for the mask to malfunction twice! I went in and got a replacement mask and that one malfunctioned a week later as well! When I called the front desk to see if I could get a refund for my mask as both malfunctioned, a girl by the name of Juvia(lluvia?) told me “I don’t think so” and told me to call back when the administrator Data(sp?) was there. So I call back and Juvia answers again and “transfers” me to Data only to be transferred to a line with a full voicemail. Never got my refund and was left with a broken mask. During my speed-run appointment with Dr. Montoya he also recommended a super expensive treatment if the mask didn’t work. A 4-step treatment of $600 that supposedly my insurance did not cover even though it was not cosmetic and my condition was urgent. He also told me that I couldn’t pay per treatment that I HAD to pay the $600 all together. Overall this place is just out to get your money and does not give a f*** about you or how you’re feeling. Now I’m left with the same pain, a broken mask, and a feeling of helplessness as I don’t have $600 to pay for another overpriced treatment. Horrible place to come if you’re in urgent need of help. Had a great experience with Dr. Montoya. I had cataracts in both eyes and I just got surgery one one eye about 3 days ago. I feel great and over all I'm super happy with my surgery results so far. I highly recommend this Dr. and clinic!

We are pleased with Dr Montoya Jr .My mother had cataract's on both of her eye's. She had eye surgery. She can now see very good and she's very happy that she no longer has trouble. We the family are so happy with the amazing work . Thank you Also the staff is so wonderful I personally do recommended Dr Montoya Jr.

My aunt visited Dr. Carlos Montoya Jr last week, she wanted to get a second opinion, because the previous Doctor she visited wanted her to have surgery because she had glaucoma. When Doctor Montoya examined her eyes he explained the problem that she had and came to the conclusion that she does not need surgery. Dr. Montoya and the staff were professional ans courteous at all my visits. Always great service and never rushed; and bcause Dr. Montoya was so thorough with my exam they were able to catch my torn retina befor it detached.
