Doctor Schanbacher is AMAZING!! I have been seeing him since he was voted a top doctor at Dana Farber in Boston. I have been his patient for years now in his Milford MA office. Over the years, I have had over 30 MOHs surgeries on my face by Dr Schanbacher and you have to look close to see scars. He is truly an artist! He works with the natural creases in your face to hide the stitches and the scars. Your face may look "scary" to you immediately after the closure is done BUT after X number of months, it will look terrific! I am also cautious after the surgery and will wear sunscreen and even bandages months after the surgery when in the sunlight (e.g., hiking). If you get sun on your scar too soon it may permanently discolor to a brownish color so YOU need to be cautious after surgery for months. Do you live far from his office? He's worth the drive! I would consider flying to see him if he ever moved to CA... he's THAT good. Bonus: he lets you choose music to listen to while he works!

WOW! The best overall medical experience I have ever experienced. Seamless Mohs surgery of my face from start to finish. Dr S and staff meet the criteria of textbook client centered medicine. Of course his medical accreditation is top notch. What really sets this practice above the rest, is the positive fun bedside manner.

Dr. Schanbacher has met my Mohs Surgery needs for about 10 years. He is excellent and his restorative work is also outstanding. When he goes to work the cancers dont have a chance snd so far none come back. Also caring, along with his excellent staff and student trainees. Medicine at its best. KLB
