August 9, 2022 CT ordered by Klutke with RAVE. His office totally dropped the ball getting this claim paid by BCBS

Update 1/31: Still waiting on Kathryn from Dr Klutke 's office to call me back with an update regarding this fiasco. Since Klutke contracted out with Rave I expect his office to get involved and help me deal with RAVE dropping the ball several times yet trying to stick me with a $700 bill. Still no update from Tina Stetina from RAVE either. GOOD GRIEF. UPDATE 1/24 Rave screwed up AGAIN Filed inadequate Appeal to BCBS in December.Had to refile appeal on 1/13 YET said I am responsible for bill and next ?? ng cycle will send my name to COLLECTIONS!! Besides Raves disaster in supposedly getting approval Pre Auth for this cat scan. Dr klutke scheduled a cat scan on my husband abdomen due to possible serious health issue. RAVE said they contacted our insurance BCBS for approval is cat scan. RAVE said all was good to go as they spoke to BCBS. Catscan was scheduled for August 9. Well, now RAVE is billing us for the full amount of catscan. BCBS said Dr Klutke Nor RAVE called them to get approval or pre authorization YET RAVE said BCBS did give them ok yet BCBS said ‘not true’. So RAVE is sending us the full cost of catscan. Someone at RAVE or Urology PreAuthoruzation Dept did NOT do their job This is unacceptable. BCBS and I today tried doing a conference call with Dr Klukte staff between 1pm and 1:45pm yet staff did not answer the phones, only their answering service. I drove all the way to Dr Klukte’s office to discuss this screwup by their office AND RAVE with billing me full amount of catscan when they dropped the ball. Staff at Urology could not help me notify doctor Klutke that he needs to file appeal with BCBS and notify BCBS this catscan was medically necessary. I was sent on my way without anything accomplished at Klukte’s office, they gave me phone number of lady who does billing and I’ve left voice mails but so far no return call from Kathryn. Both Dr Klutke AND RAVE must fix this screw up with BCBS. I told them I am NOT paying this $7000 bill when Klukte ordered it and RAVE said they were told by BCBS that “no pre authorization was needed”, BCBS said ‘not true’. Someone is not telling the truth yet they think they can send us this bill demanding we pay it. They screwed up. They dropped the ball. Fix this mess. File appeal AND send in doctors notes to BCBS explaining this catscan was medically necessary. I will see when I get a return call from Katherine from Dr Klutke’s office.y Good grief.

First they needed a referral from my doctor (why, I don't know). Did that, called to make an appointment was told they'll call me. Waited and waited. Called, was told they had referral but it wasn't entered into their computer. Called again, left a message, no return call. Called this morning, they can't find my referral, will not make an appointment without it. Another delay. May be an excellent doctor but you'll never find out.No thanks This is just not worth it.

Not a good experience. Office staff a complete disaster. No return phone calls, no follow up with medications and no response to letter sent to doctor. The doctor has no control over operation of the office and he does not follow up with staff to insure patient needs are met.

He has been my doctor for a while now several years did surgery several times. However, on Feb 3. I was scheduled for major surgery and needed my Medtronic implant that he put in turned off. He told me to call Medtronic so I did and they made a special trip the night before surgery to turn it off, cutting it close. On Feb. 5 I tried to get a prescription signed so I could get a replacement control. SunMed Medical solutions has sent at least 8-10 fax's to them and I have called at least 8 times for a reply. I have yet to get a reply. I was not answered by anyone from there. I have made contact with my lawyer for assistance. I cannot use the implant without the control. He is the only one who has office notes and the only doctor I can get to sign the RX.

I'm a snow bird who vacations in Venice , FL over the winter...I know of no doctors in the area. I developed a very painful kidney stone and the hospital told me to see Dr. Klutke. We had hoped to pass it but within a few days the pain was so overwhelming, Dr. Klutke felt surgical removal was the right thing to do. I had that operation done and with a week, I felt perfect...better or equal to before the stone developed. This surgeon and his staff at RTR Urology are nothing short of outstanding. This doctor is a real pro and I would highly recommend that if someone is having problems within the bounds of a Urologist's expertise, you will be very happy with the end results under this man's care.

It't true, prostate exams can be quite uncomfortable. But this one was the most traumatic yet. When I cried out in pain, Dr. Klutke replied not with the expected "Sorry, I know this can be uncomfortable" or "Have you had such pain during this procedure before?", but instead the very inappropriate "Oh come on"!

Dr Klutke acted promptly, compassionately and competently to diagnose and treat my bladder cancer.

Terrible experience he should get negative stars I advised him on my first and only visit that I have had elevated PSA for for 3 years although negative on MRI scans. I also stated I would like to get a referral for to have a biopsy done where I would like. He advised that he would not refer for a biopsy but he wanted to do it. So in other words, If he does not get the money, he does not care about my possibility of having cancer. I asked for a order for a PSA test and he refused. When I told him I had pain in my testicles, his response was "maybe I should have more sex" Which he said in front of my wife. A waste of time and money, I cannot recommend him in any way

Dr. Klutke makes what could be an uncomfortable situation at ease. He’s a quiet man, soothing, yet knows exactly what he’s talking about and is very gentle. He’s patient. Kind. I wouldn’t want to see anyone else in this field.

I was lucky enough to find Dr Klutke at a time when I was in so much pain I lutwralkt was curled into a fetal position and ready to die! I have severe IC and not only do I credit him with saving my life, he gave it back to me! I hated to find out this amazing, caring man had left St Louis but our lose is Florida's gain! I HIGHLY recommend him! If my life allowed right now, I would go to him as I need my device replaced and have put it off as long as possible.

Dr. Klutke performed urological surgery on me 18 years ago in St. Louis. Last year when the device finally failed, I had a it replaced by another St. Louis surgeon since Dr. Klutke had relocated to Venice, FL. When that device failed after 8 months, I traveled from Illinois to Venice so Dr. Klutke could replace it with a new one. Surgery was a total success, thanks to Dr. Klutke's skill as a top urological surgeon. Kudos to Dr. Klutke & staff for giving me back my life! I highly recommend him.

I felt extremely lucky to connect with Dr. Klutke. I needed an invasive operation by way of TURP to fix a very enlarged prostrate. I checked the background of several urologists and found that Dr. Klutke has extensive top level experience including being a Professor of Surgery in the Division of Urology. If you are looking for the best of the best, this is your surgeon!

I have suffered for many years with severe incontinence and other urinary tract problems, enduring several surgeries and other procedures without any significant improvement. I started to winter in Venice, FL, and was referred to Dr. Klutke. What a blessing he has been! He performed Coaptite injections and my life has changed immeasurably!. He is knowledgeable, skilled and kind...the perfect combination for a doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great urologist!

Dr. Klutke is the very best Urologist in his field !! He treated me for an ongoing problem of extensive bleeding ! His patience,understanding and devotion to duty solved my problem ! I cannot thank him enough . You can trust him ! He will help you .
