Carl Douglas Porter

I was introduced to Dr Porter at Springfield Regional Rehab, after ankle surgery. While I was there, he listened to my concerns and answered my questions and talked to me in depth about my treatment and rehab on my ankle!

I was referred to him from my primary care doctor. He was nice but the reason for the low rating is my appt was on a Friday, he told me my doctor would have my results on Tuesday. It took me 3 weeks to get in to my doctor for my results, when I did no results. After a few phone calls to them from my doctors office and myself I was told by the lady who answered the phone...'honestly, he's slow.' I told her well he was supposed to have my results 4 weeks ago. And now hes holding up 2 other appts. After 4 weeks of waiting the results were finally faxed over. If I had been told it would take that long no problem but to be told it would be 2 days was unprofessional in my opinion. I'm sorry his patients apparently are not a priority. I'm sure if I take 4 weeks to pay his bill I will be sent to collections.

I went there for a functional capacity evaluation. What I got was an hour in the waiting room, half hour in exam room. He came in said 'what are you doing here, what do you want & want do you want me to do?' I told him what I was there for, which was faxed to him & in my chart & he tested the reflexes in my legs, had me bend to each side & raise my arms. When I asked him a question he said 'what do you want to know that for?' I'm sorry, I thought he was the doctor & I was supposed to ask questions concerning my illness. I stand corrected. I told me referring physician about my experience & he said he will never send anyone there again. Thank God!
