Dr. Bivens is a kind caring doctor and listened to all of my concerns. I highly recommend him to anyone needing endocrinology care. Thanks Dr. Bivens and your wonderful team.

Dr. Bivens is an excellent endocrinologist. I started seeing him during the Covid pandemic in the summer of 2020 with a benign tumor in my pancreas. My A1C was 8.7 and climbing. After three 3-month visits, with his guidance and some adjustment to my insulin, my A1C is now 5.9 and very steady. I've never felt better. He is compassionate, a good listener, and a great diagnostician. I recommend him and his staff wholeheartedly.

I have had four appointments with Dr. Bivens and each time have hoped for the next experience to be better. First every appointment i have waited one hour past my appt. time and never even say thank you for waiting.. Two of my appts I had to remind him that I had already had a major treatment done that HE ordered! during my appt today I didn't even correct him when he spoke of maybe I should have that done bc I am switching drs. This is my health, he is not taking it seriously so I must!

Not sure why the bad reviews for Dr. Bevins, I've been seeing him for several years and he's always been very courteous and takes plenty of time to answer questions. Maybe they didn't see Dr. Bivens?

Dr. Bivens is such a wonderful endocrinologist. I have been seeing him for quite some time. He is caring and has a super bedside manor. Staff is wonderful, kind, and inviting. I have not had any type of bad service. Thank you Dr. Bivens for making me feel important!

Bivens is not worth your time and money. He ran bloodwork on me for thyroid problems and instead of just calling me with the results (which they mailed to me), he made me go in just so he could tell me I can't do anything for you. $$$ He's got an awful bedside manner and just stares at you until you relent and look away. He is belittling and condescending and talked to the me like I was stupid. I'd never recommend him nor will I ever return to him.

I had the exact same experience as J S in Blacksburg. Totally checked out! Sarcastic, didn't listen, flat answers. I got the exact same ambiguous checklist with no results, just interpretation of results and a written confirmation of my diagnosis. I already knew that. Waste of postage. I waited weeks before my referall to be processed, get to my appointment and it took forever to complete. He was late seeing me. For my second and last appointment he was an HOUR late. Never again!!

It was quite terrible. We waited a month for an appointment, finally got to the day of the appointment, and he has a terrible bedside manner. Flat and sarcastic in all of his answers to my questions. Totally checked out. Two weeks later received a checklist in the mail with a check mark next to blood sugar normal and thyroid levels high. Thanks for the insight, doc! They didn't even call me! Called the office exasperated, left two voicemails and they never called back. Worst doctor EVER.
