Dr. Carey Molin Gully

I have been here a few times and never had any problems with any staff member or getting appropriate care, however, today I saw Janet Motley because I have been experiencing uncontrollable movements for months now and many people have seen me experience them to the point where I cannot even talk or walk, I caught one on video a few days prior and showed it to her during my appointment, she said, “considering you filmed this video yourself, some patients will make up symptoms” and scoffed while I was showing the video to her, she automatically assumed I was faking seizures even though there are many movement disorders people can have, some where they remain fully conscious, and literally hundreds of people have seen me get these movements and can vouch that I have been getting them for months. (We assumed they were tics and would go away, but they have been getting worse.) Why would she automatically assume im faking it and accuse me of faking it to my face, even if she tried to say it politely? I asked if I should call my dad on the phone and she said she was busy with other patients, but that she would come back, slammed the door, and left. I understand she may have seen people faking symptoms in the past, but it is Incredibly unprofessional to automatically assume a patient is faking it off of one video, she didn't even ask me any questions about my symptoms.

Always takes the time necessary to explain and listen to concerns

All of Blue Ridge Pediatrics staff have always, not only supported my boys, but also me as well. They always listen to my concerns as a parent and react with compassion, understanding, and respect. They take the time to make my sons feel comfortable and loved while being given the best possible care. Dr. Gully is literally the absolute best and we are so lucky to have a doctor that not only my son loves, but that we trust without a doubt.

Every single staff person is so sweet and truly care about my grandkids. I have 7 grandkids and I'm caregiver for 5, so they get a little wild and loud but everyone tries to help me in any way possible. We love Dr Gilly and all her staff.

*Update. We have been going to Dr. Gully for over a year now. We absolutely love her and all her staff. I have never had a bad experience and I have been in and out of that place 20+ times. It is so hard to find amazing care for your kiddos and I'm so thankful we have such wonderful care. Today was our first visit at Blue Ridge Pediatrics. I'm completely impressed by this practice. We were treated with such good care and kindness by EVERYONE we encountered. My daughter has a chronic condition and Dr. Gully is very knowledgeable and thorough in her care. So blessed and excited to have found such a good practice!

Couldn't have asked for a better pediatrician and staff. They got us through a very rough road, handling repeated emergency appointments for every malady known to mankind, while our kids (aka the Petri dishes) got through their first year in day care.

The office staff is very professional. They are always on time, and follow up after hours, when needed. I have been taken my daughter to blue ridge pediatrics, for the last 15 years. The service and the care have always been impeccable! Thank you for watching after my child growing up.

Sense moving to SC it took us a while to find a Pediatrician but one day my girls were so sick so I called the one I had had my eye on. They see ALL sick kids same day, no matter what time you call or even if you are visiting and not a patient there. There is only 1 doctor and 2 nurse practitioners and they manage to get this done. Well seeing that they see all sick children same day I figured we would be there for HOURS because I didn’t call until 3:00. They told me to come in at 3:30, keep in mind I had TWO sick toddlers who were new patients. We were in and out in less than an hour FOR AN UNSCHEDULED NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENT FOR TWO KIDS! The doctor was super quick but not rushy and insensitive and very sweet to my girls, they loved her so much. This just amazed me and I had to share! I am from North Carolina where taking the kids for a scheduled check up took HOURS so this is phenomenal to me!

Phenomenal care for my children every time! I've lived in several states and cities since having my two young children, and this pediatrician's office is the best by far! The staff is very compassionate and professional, and they've always been so helpful in booking our appointments (even emergency last minute ones) and answering any questions we may have. The doctor is fantastic with children to the extent that my kids actually look forward to doctor's visits! She also has two sweet little parakeets that the kids sometimes get to visit in the office, and we've even been given kids' books on occasion. The worst doctor i’ve ever seen and I went here when i was small . Dr. Gully didn’t check my daughters ears and we ended up in the er and they said that she would’ve had a busted ear drum had she not been seen , we left the practice . Recently a 14 year old in my family went and was forced to get the covid vaccine while screaming and crying no . A family member had taken her and they did not call the parents for any kind of consent. When spoken to they said they didn’t need parental consent just consent from the person bringing her in. That being said if it was a family friend that had to bring your child in they’d give any vaccine or do any test with the permission of the family friend who had no right to make those decisions. Dr. Gully is one of the most compassionate providers I have ever met. She truly cares about her patients and their family. She provides a loving space for children to thrive in as they grow and make them all feel welcomed and seen. If you are looking for someone to become part of your family, this is the pediatrician for you! She will take your concerns to heart and not brush you off - even when you're a new mother and asking the most ridiculous questions possible. I cannot recommend Dr. Gully enough!

Awesome doctor and awesome staff. The wait times are very short. Before I started taking by 2 sons to Dr. Gully we would wait a minimum of 45 in the waiting room and then another 45 minutes is an exam room. At Dr. Gully's office, we get seen within 15 minutes of arrival. The office staff has always been very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. As for Dr. Gully, she takes time to actually listen to your concerns and address each one... even behavioral issues between my two boys. Excellent care!!

A friend referred me to Blue Ridge Pediatrics 3 years ago and this has been the best hospital experience for my daughter so far. The office staff are kind, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Gully is very good with children and is very experienced. Dr. Gully truly cares about our kids! She listens to all of my concerns, and anytime one of my kids is sick she is super thorough and responsive. I wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else!

Dr.Gully is a responsive, caring pediatrician that my children love. She listens without judgment and provides practical guidance that honor the parents wishes. When necessary, she advocated for us to see the specialist with needed for our son.

I've been bringing my twins here since they were born 9 years ago. The office staff are always very helpful, and the nurses are kind and knowledgeable. I love Dr. Gully and the other providers we have seen. We always get an appointment very easily when they are sick. I have been very pleased with my experiences!

My daughter and son have been patients since they were born. The care we have received is top notch. My kids are always seen the same day. Dr. Gully takes call after hours personally for emergencies. My kids love the nurses and doctors.

I brought my son to this practice for 11 years and it was great until he started getting really sick. Dr. Gully really is nice and really does care for patients, however there are times when she doesn't listen and doesn't notice how sick a child really is. The first time it happened she apologized and gave us a second visit where she was far more helpful. Then last year my son was really sick again and Dr. Gully didn’t want to provide sick notes or homebound forms for his absences so she just dropped him from her practice. I had no idea why she had done this. I contacted the practice manager to inquire about it and Dr. Gully then called to discuss it with me. She said that she would only provide notes when a patient had been seen since day one of their illness, which was never the case with my son. My mom Is a doctor who is able to help us with minor illnesses so we only go to see Dr. Gully if illness is severe or prolonged. I agreed to bring him whenever he got sick immediately and all was well so we stuck with her. Then he got sick again, really sick, with a virus. I brought him in immediately to comply with her requirements. Once again Dr. Gully didn’t listen well. She kept talking about his illness from last year instead of focusing on the current illness which was causing him to writhe in pain for 4-5 hours every night until about 3 or 4 am. I asked again and again what could be done for symptom relief. Her only suggestions were Tylenol or Motrin which proved ineffective so I brought him back in to see what else could be done. Her only suggestions then were to "love on him" or bring him to the ER, both inadequate suggestions. You can’t hold a child who is writhing in pain and the ER is for acute illness and injury, not viruses. She should have done some investigating to figure out how to treat him or referred him to someone else, not give up and offer useless suggestions. Then when I asked her to update his sick note she took it and said she would call the principal directly. Then I got an e-mail from the principal in which he told me Dr. Gully had said my child showed no evidence of illness and should return to school immediately. I had done everything she required for a note and still hadn’t gotten one. (I did eventually get one after complaining to the practice manager.) Dr. Gully should have voiced her opinion at our office visit, not go behind my back. She seemed to think my son was just not wanting to go to school, but if a kid fakes an illness they heat up a thermometer or pretend to have stomach pain. They don't writhe in pain crying, moaning, and begging for help for 5 hours every night. So now I was pressured to bring my sick child who was barely sleeping at night back to school. How was he ever supposed to recover if I did that? Furthermore, he did have observable signs of illness, a fever, which they were aware of when the nurse took his temperature. I immediately found my son a new doctor. This doctor noticed my son's lymph nodes were swollen, a sign of infection which Dr. Gully had missed, and he told us that we could combine Tylenol and Motrin in adult doses giving us exact directions about how large the doses should be and that finally proved to be helpful is easing the pain. By not believing that my son was sick or understanding how much he was suffering Dr. Gully failed to provide him the medical advice he desperately needed and the note he needed so he could rest and heal. I just started my new born there and I was in shock and awe over the care given and the positive energy Doctor Gully beams with. If you are looking for the best care for your child you can't get any better than this.

Dr. Gully and her office are top notch. She took time to see my son through my eyes and to come up with a solution. She never rushed our appointment and really listened to my concerns. She even took time to play with him. If you’re looking for a pediatrician then Dr. Gully and her office is the place for you!

Dr. Gully has repeatedly failed to care for my son appropriately when he has gotten sick. Sometimes she is hurried and sometimes she just doesn't listen or believes that he is faking an illness to avoid school. She has failed to provide doctor's notes and homebound forms when they have been needed. She has failed to notice some of the physical signs of illness and when she doesn't know how to treat an illness or its symptoms she has just given up, not investigated solutions, not referred him to other doctors, just has given up. She has failed to communicate her expectations and thoughts with me at times causing all sorts of problems. Twice she has failed to help when my son has been acutely ill and she didn't learn from the first time, to pay attention when I say he is incredibly ill and to take the time to really figure out what is going on and help. And twice she has not communicated directly with me, but instead went behind my back.

I've changed my kids' doctor many times because I feel like a lot of people don't care the way they should in order to work with children. I can honestly say that Dr Gully and the entire staff are more than we could have wished for in a pediatric office.

DR. Gully and staff are the best. The office sees all sick children on the same day. They are open on Saturdays as well.

I am pregnant and due in May. I have called them twice trying to schedule a meet and greet and both times they have been incredibly inflexible. The most recent time being today. I work full time and finally was able to get a day off, so I scheduled a couple of pediatrician meetings for the same day. They asked if I could meet at 11:30 and unfortunately I already had a meeting set up with another office at 11:15. And when I let them know this and tried to see if we could meet either earlier or later I was told flat out no. Not a "let's see what we can do" or "I'm so sorry about that", I honestly don't even think she looked at the schedule. They actually asked me to reschedule the meeting that had already been set up and confirmed. If this is how they treat PROSPECTIVE patients, I have no desire to find out how they would treat me and my newborn son if we were to come here. I am pregnant and due in May. My experience is with Dr. Gully's practice rather than the doc herself. After calling to get my kiddo an appointment I was referred to the nurse who was VERY arrogant and snotty (she's been a nurse for over FORTY years, after all!) The front office was nice enough but recommended I get on Medicaid as I was aghast at the $300+ cost of the appointment I was trying to set up. Crappy advice based on poor assumptions. Thanks, but no thanks.

I can't say enough good things about Blue Ridge Pediatrics. Dr. Gully has a well versed staff of Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and RNs. Each offers a unique set of qualifications that makes this office very knowledgeable and capable for handing the multitudes of pediatric problems. Dr. Gully spends ample time in the exam room with you and your child and shows a genuine concern. She is a wonderful person and superb doctor. She avoids overbooking and makes a tremendous effort in minimizing wait times. I have a child with Autism... her approach to his care exceeds my expectations. My son's first pediatrician completely over looked his developmental delays, blowing them off totally. As a result my son was almost six before he was diagnosed with Autism. Dr. Gully has been awesome in dealing with the complexities not only of his Autism but other issues that have arisen. She and her staff are just wonderful!! Our experience is what you would expect for a weekend sick child visit - we were satisfied with our service. 1 star because of the manner that the business office treated us with our insurance. It is apparent that they are not able to look on line to see if a policy is active nor can they pick up the phone and talk to the insurance company they are contracted with as in network providers. I've also filed a compliant with my insurance company regarding their unhelpful attitude towards us.

Called this office as I was looking for a new primary care pediatrician for my 2 1/2 year old, as we have moved back to the area. The practice was recommended by a family friend. I asked about setting up an appointment for new patients, and was curtly told to pick up a package and full it out. Which I did. When I showed up for my appointment, I again found the staff to be rude and difficult. So l asked for my paperwork back and left. Someone came out to me in the parking lot and was asked if Jasmine was the issue; it wasn't, I expect better for my son was the issue. I advised her that this was not the type of environment I was intrested in for my son, thanks. The Dr may be great, but I never made it past the lobby and it's toll booth. In addition to care, I am also requiring any Dr's office for my son to provide the best all round experience, along with a postive attitude, as this is pediatrics. Couldn't see that happening here, so I'll keep looking. Suggestion welcome please and thanks, lol. From day 1 of taking my boys to BR Peds, I have had nothing but great experiences! Thank you all for being so great in what you do!

The entire office staff and the medical staff are extremely professional and do a great job. We have been with them for quite sometime and they have always been so resourceful and friendly!

Dr. Gully is amazing! I take both my children to her and couldn't go anywhere else. From the receptionist, to the nurses, to the PAs, to the doctor... its a warm family. We aren't a chart or a number there. We love the entire team!

Dr. Gully, is hands down the best Doctor my children have seen. She is knowledgeable and caring - the two most important traits I want in their Doctor. Her staff has always been friendly and courteous and I have recommended Dr. Gully to many people I know.

The staff and Dr. Gully have gone out of their way to help me and my little one. I had a baby with a dairy protein allergy. Since it can mask itself as many different things in a newborn, Dr. Gully took every step and precaution necessary to insure we found out what was wrong with my little one. We have gone through a hospital stay, RSV, etc. and they have been fabulous to work with. We had a 103 fever Easter weekend with some troublesome breathing. I left a message with Dr. Gully and she called back within ten minutes. One night a rash broke out across my little ones entire body, again, Dr. Gully called back within a few minutes. We switched from a pediatrician in Greenville who although competent, had no bedside manner with children. Dr. Gully gets gold stars in both areas. She is kind, friendly, and genuinely cares about the health and welfare of children. Dr. Gully never rushes through an appointment, and sincerely wants to provide the best healthcare possible. We have been very pleased with Blue Ridge Pediatrics for almost thirteen years! Dr. Gully has a wonderful bedside manner and really cares about her patients. She gives thorough care and does not rush through appointments. We have had some special circumstances with both our children and I appreciate the way Dr. Gully listens and respects our wishes, while also sharing her wisdom and expertise in order to arrive at the best solution for the child. She was awful. From the moment I stepped into her office and the awful sound she made while listening to my daughters heart. Then requesting and x-ray from her Nurse before consulting me. This doctor is frightening and definitely shouldn't be allowed to practice. My whole experience with them was completely unprofessional. I found a great pediatrician in the area whom has nothing to do with this Dr.
