FIND ANOTHER DR - RUN AWAY... Everytime my wife returns from this office it is terrible. This time it was office staff who were rude. Don't waste your time waiting in line in this DR. office.

Dr Buonocore is a great doctor, however I have had more than one less than uplifting interaction with her office staff which lead me to find another dr who does not belittle patients.

She’s nice until you educate yourself about your own disease and want to try a new medication. I have had hashimoto’s hypothyroidism for 18 years of my 23 year life and for a large part of my time with the disease I felt awful so I asked to try a new medication. I had to threaten to find a different doctor for her to let me try the medication I’m on now which has made all the difference. Just today she refused to see me because I forgot about my blood work (I presently work 3 jobs) , and she has always based her assessment of my health off of average numbers which aren’t accurate for ALL individuals. I wasted over an hour just to be told by a nasty nurse that she wouldn’t be seeing me because I didn’t get my blood drawn. As soon as I left I decided that I will be finding a new doctor. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and she was recommended. However i have never felt less heard then i did during this appointment. I did not know much about the condition and was hoping to get more information but it seemed like she was to busy to spend the time with me. I had done some research myself on treatment and the only thing she wanted to give me was a medication i dont feel 100% about. I do not recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Buonocore destroyed my life by haphazardly prescribing medication to me without any description of what she was prescribing and if there were any side effects and without any proper follow up, When she realized her mistake she went into her own form of covering up her mistake by lying and blaming me as her patient. She took no responsibility for her actions and I am now living in a mental hospital. She is a sick and mean spirited and hateful woman.

I saw Dr. Buonocore from March 5, 2007 until November 6, 2015. I loved the care that she gave me and she helped me through some tough days when my Type 1 Diabetes became more and more brittle. She diagnosed me with having Celiac Disease as well as having Gastroparesis. I am a survivor of a near fatal car accident and my body as well as my brain are somewhat frail. In 2013 Dr. Buonocore prescribed to me an antidepressant when I had developed sleeping issues. Though she denies this, she never explained what she was acturally prescribing to me and with suffering a Traumatic Brain Injury which she was well aware of, I would have thought that she would have at least monitored what she was prescribing to me. In August of 2013 the antidepressant stopped working and I came close to killing myself. I called her office and her Medical Assistant, Michael Tucker at first refused to help me. After some tense minutes he then told me that, " the doctor told him that I need to double my dosage and if I still felt suicidal then I should call a suicide hotline." That advice enraged me but I survived that terrible day and weekend. The following Monday, I never heard from Dr. Buonocore. Three months later when I saw her again, she acted as if she had no idea what I was telling her and what I wanted was some acounting for Mike Tucker's uncaring attitude as well as who was the doctor that Michael Tucker had spoken to. I do not think he spoke to any doctor but decided to play doctor himself. In the following months, she never had any answers and told me that I needed to just move on. She was somewhat surprised that I had stopped taking the Antidepressant that she had prescribed. After her reluctance to answer any of my questions our relationshio became somewhat heated at times and depression had taken over my mind. I would latter learn that what she does in the care of my Diabetes and what she records in my records were less than truthful. This knowledge destroyed my faith in her as my most trusted Physician. In 2014 I had developed a Brain Meningioma which was developing into a possibel brain tumor and I ended up having Gamma Knife surgery at UPMC Presby and it was stopped before it would turn into cancer. My surgeon at UPMC had notified all of my doctors and When I saw Dr. Buonocore again I felt as if I had the old caring Dr. Buonocore again. After that, for some reason our relationship just spiraled out of control and at my following visits when she would ask me something and if I did not answer quickly enough, she would just cut me off. Nothing upsets me more because since my brain trauma the words in my head at times becomes difficult for me to turn into speech. At my last appointment on November 6, 2015 she cut me off after asking me a question and I lost control and just threw it right back at her and demanded some answers as to why she let her imcompetant Medical Assistatn play doctor and why she practiced medicine with no regard to what might happen when certain drugs are prescribed. I ended up filing a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney Generals office for Professional Ethics but they found no wrong doings. I was told that she had told the investigator that she had explained everything to me concerning Antidepressants and that I must have forgetten the conversation do to my brain trauma. What Dr. Buonocore seems to have not remembered was that my wife was there when she told me about the medication that would relax me. In the summer of 2018 I suffered a nervous breakdown and spent 5 days at the Chestnut Ridge Mental Center in Morgantown, WV. While there Dr. Buonocore had the Bethel Park Police Dept, issue me a Cease and Dissist Order so that I am never to contact her or her practice again. I have since learned that I do not have Celiac Disease or Gastroparesis so being on a Gluten Free diet for 12 year was all for nothing. I now live day to day and will not let her imcompetant way of practicing medicine defeat me. I am Strong, I am Alive and I am a Survivor! See her at your own risk! I saw Dr. Buonocore from March 5, 2007 until November 6, 2015. I loved the care that she gave me and she helped me through some tough days when my Type 1 Diabetes became more and more brittle. I said I don’t know I don’t feel good she got up ran through the building and brought back a aspirin and then walked me to the car and said to my friend take her to the hospital now and within the next two hours I had open heart surgery. Dr. Buonocore makes a decision on one's health and does not take into account other possibilities. Besides my brittle Type 1 Diabetes, she diagnosed me with having Celiac Disease which after 12 years has now been proven to be false as well as having Gastroparesis which has also been proven to be false. If questioned she becomes very angry then the Patient / Doctor relationship fails.

Awful experience with this so called doctor. The only thing she cares about is herself. She will not take responsibility if she makes a mistake and will turn the blame to the patient. She ruined my life and she is to blame! I find it very sad that a Medical Doctor who takes an oath to help people could care less when she is questioned.

I always try to be fair and being Doctor Buonocore's patient for 8 years I trusted her with my life. I am a survivor of a near fatal car accident which included me breaking my back in half, bruising my spine, crushing my chest and suffering a Traumatic Brain Injury. I honestly do not think that Dr. Buonocore ever really understood what a Traumatic Brain Injury is and what it can do to an individual. Dr. Buonocore went about prescribing me a medicine which affected my brain and when that medication turned on me, she refused to take any responsibility as to what it did to me. I left her care after many times asking her why she did this to me, without any truthful answers. I can honestly say that I hate her for how she treated me in the end. I am now just a broken man and I am sure that she finds pure glee in what she did to me. You have been warned!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME - PLEASE!!!! I have been a Type 1 since I was 10 years old, never have had an a1c over 8.0. Throughout college I reached 8.1 with a cholesterol of 221. The only Endocrinologist to actually listen. She was interested in my physical symptoms before labs. She spent time with me and was quickly able to diagnose me with PCOS & found the goiter on my thyroid that I had been told wasnt an issue. Yes, there is a wait for an appointment & there is a wait in the office. I'm willing to wait as at one time the people behind me on the schedule had to wait because of the length of time she spent with me. She is direct, but I'm not there to be friends.

She is by far the most condescending physician I've ever met in my life. She was short, rude, and had made up her mind about me the second she walked into the room. Initial visit lasted less than 10 minutes. She wouldn't let me finish a sentence & pretty much flat-out said she didn't think there was anything wrong with me. She begrudingly called me back after my bloodwork came back abnormal. I'd never refer anyone to her - EVER IN A MILLION YEARS.

Professional and courteous. And by the way, in defense of my endocrynologist's office and the review regarding a woman who is upset that she went in without having her bloodwork done first, the fact is: I have always received two reminders on my voicemail in advance of an appointment to remind me that bloodwork should be done. And I have never had a problem in getting that prescription re-faxed if I've lost it, so I'm not sure what on earth she's referring to as unreasonable. That's very reasonable. I appreciate the reminders and how accommodating this office is. And if it weren't for this office's thorough follow-up after an initial denial from insurers of an insulin pump, I wouldn't be wearing one today. They go to bat for you. They do everything they can to ensure that you are getting the treatment you need. One other thing, they don't make you wait long in the waiting room. I haven't waited for more than 10 minutes tops. (My opthamologist has made me wait for over an hour - whereas, in this instance I barely pick up a magazine at this endocrinologist's office and my name gets called). I'm a Type 1 Diabetic with a low-thyroid and some other issues. Dr. Buonocore is my best doctor. Professional and courteous. Unknowledgeable and arrogant. She speaks too quickly and already has diagnosed you before actually looking at you and test results. She does not make eye contact. She is extremely argumentative! I found this to be common with her other FORMER patients too. I was left with 2 somewhat important issues completely ignored.
