It’s kind of really sad that I have to even give this physician a star. She was very rude. I wish I could have gotten a recording. I’m disabled and chronically ill and she treated me like I was dumb. I have a strict treatment plan with my outpatient dietician and doctors and I have been following that for almost 2 years now. She wanted to keep me in the hospital for a few more days to force feed me calories I didn’t need. I met my own personal goal and she promised discharge. She lies. She started laughing at me and my fiance and I asked her what was funny????? And when I confronted her about it she basically was like, “how could you tell I was laughing, I had a mask on.” Like um… sweetie I have ears. She’ll deny any form of malpractice or poor bedside manner. She told me I didn’t deserve proper care at one hospital because my pcp is in another health system and she invalidated my trauma. She told me I was basically making her job harder for her and wasting her time. She even upset the nurses who were taking care of me. She also didn’t care about my chronic illnesses. Also when I had packed all my things to head home she came in all smiles and was like “do yoy need any perscriptions?” Like quit being fake. I apologized because I may have been rude but I do not recommend this doctor at all if you struggle with mental health.

Dr. Merati saved my life. I am eternally grateful for her care. She was kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable about my condition. Her bedside manner was impeccable. It is very rare to find a doctor like her these days. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Dr. Merati helped me a lot to understand my diabetes and how to treat it. A very understanding doctor.

Dr. Merati was extremely kind, explained my mother's condition in detail, and made my family and I feel at ease. She answered all of our questions and we had an overall very pleasant experience with her. I wish she had an outpatient clinic as well- I would go to her and have my family members see her as well. We were lucky to have her as our physician.

Very disappointed with Dr Merati's bedside manner. Very blunt with hurtful words in front of my 96 year old father who was the patient lying in the hospital bed listening and comprehending every negative word she said about him. Dr Merati would not even wait for other family members when I asked her to...they were close by in the waiting room. She didn't have the time. It was unnecessary that Dr Merati was so blunt and hurtful in front of a patient. I would never recommend or use her. She is a Bronson Hospital doctor in Kalamazoo, Mi.
