Dr. Calin G Badea

Today is 30 March 2023 and my appointment with Dr Badea was at 2:15 pm. I got to the office and checked in at 2:05 pm. It is now 3:30 pm and I'm still in the waiting room waiting to be seen. If I had gotten to my appointment late they would've canceled my appointment, but what should patients do when they have to wait hours past their appointment time? The receptionist is rude and unprofessional, they have no explanation and they're the ones scheduling the appointments. You come to your appointment on time, wait two hours or more to be seen and is seen for 5 minutes or less, then your insurance is billed from a tremendous amount for a 5 minutes visit with the doctor. I will let Tricare know and request to be transferred to a different doctor, because as a veteran this is ridiculous. Patients are over booked for the same time and is forced to wait for hours. The staff needs consideration of others training as it seems that they're just there for a paycheck and don't really like and take pride in their job

Extremely disappointed in the latest experience with a scheduled annual appointment. Left without seeing a doctor after waiting two hours. No one bothered to communicate or apologize for the delay. Looking for a new PCP!! Will not return.

We can't even get a call back for an emergency! Been waiting almost 5 hrs now to get advice on taking my gma into er! With covid being bad no one wants to get her sick but maybe if someone would call us back we could figure out what to do! The ambulance came at 5am and said don't go to er because of covid so call the Dr but the Dr won't call us back! So we just wait? Just because someone is 85 don't mean just let her die! She is very independent but worrying if we keep waiting on Dr to call she won't be ok!! This is emotional and honestly agonizing!!! A phone call geez!!! I absolutely love Dr. Badea. He is very attentive to his patients and explains things thoroughly so that they will understand. I could not ask for a better physician. His staff have always been very friendly and welcoming also.

Providers are professional and nice. However, they referred us to a specialist that had closed their business and when I called to get a new referral they told me we had to come in, get billed again, then they would write a new referral. They messed up, then wanted to bill me again to fix their mistake? Absolutely ridiculous.

Dr. Badea is good, but his staff is a very serious liability. We recently learned that my mother has a serious heart condition, the symptoms of which were dismissed as "fine" by the PA. We have not been able to get basic care for her because the staff do not return calls when we request help with medical problems, or seem to care when their elderly patients have been sitting on bedsores in their waiting room for over an hour to see the doctor. In fact, when I asked, after almost 2 hours, if it would be much longer before my mother could be seen and reminded the person that she has bedsores that she'd been sitting on the whole time, she yelled at me, telling me that the doctor has other patients and would be in when he decided it was time. If you have a serious or life threatening condition, please read the other reviews here and in other places for this practice, and go elsewhere.

Terrible staff, good doctor. My wife was admitted to the ER about two months ago where it was determined she had numerous serious health conditions. Since then it has been broken promises with Dr Badea's staff, from scheduling appointments when he's not in the office to a needed referral to a specialist we have yet to receive. Their office phone number does not allow you to reach a person. It loops you to a voicemail and then disconnects. Dr Badea himself is a great doctor, but his staff harms patient's well-being. Been trying to get an appointment every time I call it says extension 6206 is unavailable. What good is a doc if you can even get a receptionist on the phone.

Staff is horrible, they NEVER return calls. They cancel your appointment but do not tell you until you arrive. They lied and told me they left a message on my voicemail, I don't even have voicemail! They've cancelled three appointments without notifying me and did not even have the courtesy to schedule a fourth. The sad part is that Badea himself ordered the first appointment. Something was concerning enough for Badea to schedule me, but apparently it must not be too serious as he keeps cancelling my appointments. Does not contact patient's family with results

I have osteoarthritis and scoliosis. Dr Badea was my physician he would rush in, didn't listen to to any thing I had to say. I would be in a lot of pain. He didn't want to give me anything. Just muscle relaxer. I kept telling him it wasn't working, he didn't care, he finally gave me two months supply of pain pills I would run out before my next appointment. I would have to go two to three months before I would see them again.So I just had to hurt until then. I feel like he don't have my best interest at heart. I will not refer anyone to him. Dr. Badea and Rebecca P.A. are awesome but it takes forever to get an appt, or a prescription refill. I have even been referred to the Outpatient clinic because they didn't have any appts for another 2 months! I've had to go 8 days without my bld pressure meds because they wouldn't call it in, until I started bombarding them with calls every 2 hours! My script was filled THAT day! You'll get great preventive care but if you're really sick and need acute or routine care, look elsewhere. My Mom has being going to Dr Badea for many years. He is the best Doctor ????‍⚕️ she has ever been to. He has a wonderful personality.

Very good experience and thorough.

Waited 2 hours and then another hour past closing time just to see the Dr and get meds refilled.

My 1st visit was awesome, he took his time, explained everything and answered my questions. I recommend him highly.

I went to Dr Badea after leaving the practice 3 years prior. My 1st experience was awesome! The wait was less than 15 minutes, the staff was courteous and dr badea took his time and answered all my questions, made me very comfortable with the life changes I will be making. I'm very happy with this practice.

LOVE Lisa Crews... think the office and professional aspect of it stinks. They leave you on hold forever, (when they finally decide to answer the phone). Saw them 2 weeks ago. Waiting for ct scan scheduling and blood test results and even called twice. Still nothing. Just doesn’t seem very put together.

Great Doctor

Staff is VERY rude! Always a 3 hour wait in the lobby...

I scheduled an appointment. Took time off for my appointment and when I showed up for my appointment the staff told me I wasn't scheduled for an appointment. Horrible staff.

Call can't get anyone on the phone do anyone know the new number.

My mother sees Dr Badea and I was pleased with his bedside manner. He answered my questions and listened attentively to my concerns. I am from Washington, DC and accompanied my mother to an impromptu doctor visit. The absolute WORST office staff. They are rude and act as if they run the the show. My79 year old mother had a 9:15 am appointment and because the office manager scheduled a mandatory meeting, she decided she could override the doctor's decision to see my mother. After 3 tris in the building and over 2 hours later she still has not been seen.

They really need to close up shop my child can't even have a PCP they change peds Dr every week or so its quite stressful

I liked my doctor but what's the point of making an appointment if I can't even be seen at the time I made it for? I have better things to do than sit in the waiting room for two hours then another hour in the room they put me in until the doctor comes. Not to mention I got a letter from tricare talking about how much I owe and everytime I try to call about how to pay the bill no one answers the phone. I've also left numerous messages. If anyone come after me for this unpaid bill I've got evidence that I tried to reach you guys. This is ridiculously unprofessional.
