Dr. Caleb Warren Hirsch

My grandfather was under Dr. Hirsch’s care after he had a stroke and the Dr. gave him countless anti-psychotic drugs without consulting my mother (his caretaker). That decision directly (and negatively) impacted the way my grandfather acted and recovered after the stroke. He began hallucinating, did not know where he was or who my family was for weeks, and we have reason to believe that the Dr’s decision to keep him on these drugs delayed his recovery process and made it much harder for him to excel in his healing. Many months later, we took my grandfather back to West Hills Hospital due to high kidney function. Dr. Hirsch had him on countless anti psychotic drugs, making him hallucinate again. I don’t have many characters remaining but he almost killed my grandfather.

Not a very comforting doctor at all. Seems to almost make a point to act cold.

I am just really amazed to see who gave this doctor ????‍⚕️ permission to practice medicine. We had the worst experience with him being a internal medical doctor while my mom was admitted in West Hills Hospital, he won’t care if the patient dies , he has the worst attitude he only visits his patients early in the morning literally for 3 seconds, he doesn’t even come close to the patient, let alone examine the patient. Excellent doctor. Took time to thoroughly explain my diagnosis and treatments for it.

Dr Hirsch is a businessman using his title as a doctor to maximize his earnings. He has ignorant visitations in the hospital lasting 15 seconds: walk in, hear patient heart beat once, say “all is good”, vanish with a sneaky rush out of the room. One word sentences answering the patient family members: “YES” , “ NO”! He seems to have emergency doctors in the ER of west hills hospitals having his back referring patients to him and insisting on that , even though if they have to call his wife to find him to take a new patient. He releases patients early to his nursing home ( sending administration staff to patients family members to convince them), also representative from his hospice institution to convince the family members that the patient does not have long to live. If the hospice representative is not successful, the prognosis will change in seconds and the nursing home reps take over , convincing family members : “ the patient has long to go and needs much care”. Avoid Dr Hirsch??

WARNING Stay away this man is a murderer. He'll let his patients die to make a dollar. Worst medical malpractice with no regard for his patients.

I am at a loss for words at how bad this so called Dr. is ....west hills med hospital is a great hospital ..why why is he there? He is not good.

This man is a malpractice suite waiting to happen. His bedside manner is condescending, uncaring and disinterested. He told my Grandmother she was imagining her pain. He refused to let us finish expressing our concerns and he is chronically unavailable. I wish I could give him 0 stars.

Don't go to this doctor. Will not inform you of the results of your blood test and if your insurance asks for additional information on a prescription he wrote, he will not respond. Too busy. He was the first doctor to treat me as a person not an insurance claim at a hospital

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS MAN AS POSSIBLE.......HE IS HORRIBLE!!!! RUDE, HAS NO IDEA ABOUT WHAT HE IS DOING, ALL I CAN SAY IS STAY AWAY FROM HIM........

Dr. Hirsh is without question oneof the best doctors I've ever seen in my 76 years. I only wish I found him earlier on. He is brilliant and takes the time necessary to care for his patients.

Dr. and staff are both very respectfull I am always seen in a very timely manner. I wish all doctors offices could be as kind and efficient as Dr Hirsh and Pam are. Thank you to both of them for years of excellent care.

Worst "doctor" ever

Jay Jacobs you must be incompetent like Hirsch he is NO doctor this man has done everything wrong time and time again and the staff he works with is all bad Westhills hospitals saying is (YOUR HEALTH IN YOUR HANDS) and that’s how it is that place is EVIL!!!!

Was looking for a new Primary Care Dr.. First appt the Dr. was 40 minutes late. Bedside manner was terrible and verged on being rude. He was very rushed, did not ask basic health questions and practically ran out of the room before I had finished asking questions regarding my health. I called again several months later for an issue that I wanted to make an appointment for. Was directed to go to emergency room (was not an emergency). Office refused to book an appt for me. Do not recommend.

All the staff and the doctor have always treated me with utmost respect. I get timely testing, care and referrals that allow me to maintain a healthy lifestyle while dealing with my LADA diabetes. I wish I had met Dr. Hirsch earlier in the process.

Dr. Hirsch is the best doctor I've ever been to. He did for me what several other doctors couldn't. His diagnoses and meds he prescribed are spot on.

I'm 71 years old and have seen many doctors over the years...from New York to Beverly Hills and several cities in between. Dr. Hirsch is one of the best, if not the best doctor I've ever been to. He's smart, friendly, caring and very knowledgeable. He recommended several medications that worked perfectly---that several other doctors could not help. A longer than usual wait time is well worth it. I'm 71 y/o and been around the block several times, saw dozens of doctors in my lifetime. Dr. Hirsch is without question oneof the very best! I'll stay with this guy until the very end. Simply put...he's terrific!

Dr. Hirsch made an excellent diagnosis and wrote a prescription for a drug which helps me immensely. No other doctor I saw could do it. He's a terrific doctor!

Ive been going to Dr Hirsch since I was 23 im 40 I only gave him 3 stars due to the fact that I wait more for him that my eye doctor so I cant really lie ...

My whole family has been going to this doctor for many years. He is truly outstanding - and is particularly good at recognizing symptomology. So many doctors take educated guesses, while he is very good at seeing beyond the obvious. He caught illnesses and accurately diagnosed them when other specialists had missed them. He is rather quiet and somewhat shy, and so lacks that genial 'hail-fellow, well-met' facade some drs are so good at, but he is FAR superior in all other ways. Will even check on his sick patients on his own time on the weekend, or if you're in hospital under a specialists care. Goes above and beyond always.

Does not work well with seniors. Will talk with family members but ignores the senior who he is evaluating. Lacks the courtesy to include the senior in the medical evaluation conversations.
