I went to Dr.Sundin for a tummy tuck along with liposuction. I had a wonderful experience from the first initial consultation and throughout the entire process. I have been fighting skin cancer for 30 years, and, having moved to Richmond from Texas in 2007, I was referred to Dr Sundin as the best in town. In the past 12 years, he has removed roughly 100 skin cancer areas, including a few melanomas, from the top of my head to the bottoms of my feet, thanks to exposure to Agent Orange from 3 years in the Viet Nam theatre. If he misses one, I'm dead. And he doesn't miss. I have asked that he be aggressive, so while true that he has removed some spots that turned out to be nothing, 9 in 10 spots removed are confirmed by pathology to be active cancers. He is far easier to get an appointment with than dermatologists, hates when the surgery causes pain, and listens carefully when I'm worried about something. You might think that with approximately 10 places on my face having been removed and stitched up, that I would be covered with stitch scars, but in fact, most people don't notice any scars at all. I had to have surgery done for the removal of a cancer spot and Dr. Reps Sundin did such a fantastic job, both him and his assistant made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommend for any surgeries needed.

I was scared and excited to get my surgery done. I also have horrible anxiety and through out this whole process Dr. Sundin and his staff have been amazing! Having a tummy tuck with muscle repair and liposuction was very painful but he kept me comfortable. The results at only 5 weeks out are literally mesmerizing. I keep looking at my stomach and realizing I did have a body before my kids. I'm finding the confidence in me that I had lost so long ago. Dr. Burton Sundin recently performed my breast reduction. I visited his offices in both Richmond and Vienna. The staff in both offices are amazing. Dr. Sundin is extremely professional, truly listens to what you want and puts you at ease. I had several follow up appointments and never felt like he was rushing me in and out. This may be a lengthy post. I really want to convey what sets Dr. Burton Sundin apart from other plastic surgeons. Why he should be chosen over any other. At my consultation he was so in tune to my questions and concerns. I have an underlying health issue-Factor V (blood clotting disorder). Not only did he take time to evaluate my situation personally, he worked with my Hematologist. They discussed my situation. He was thorough and very empathetic. How many times have you been called personally from your doctor? He called me more than once. Upon coming in the office, his staff Robin, Cissy, Megan, and Melissa were by my side the entire time, and were some of the best medical staff I have encountered. During my procedure he asked how I was several times, always explaining his process. My husband was there and in phone conversations has told everyone that Dr. Sundin’s bedside manner is top notch. My anxiety was through the roof when I came in to his office. He noticed and made me feel comfortable quickly. He is so naturally empathetic. Not something I see everyday. I highly recommend the J Plasma skin tightening procedure at Dr. Sundin's office! J Plasma is a minimally invasive technology that tightens the skin most anywhere on the body. I chose this procedure because I wanted to tighten my abdomen and flank area without creating a large scar. I was very comfortable (and awake) throughout the procedure. Dr. Sundin explained everything to me in advance and continued to check on me from start to finish. I experienced minimal downtime from the procedure and returned to work only a few days later. I am very happy with the results and see a significant improvement. The staff and doctors are great and I would do it again!

I had liposuction with jplasma done on my arms done last summer and I love the results! I am thrilled to be able to wear jackets and tops that were previously too tight in my upper arms. The doctors and the staff were very professional and very fun!

I have been a patient of Dr Burton Sundin's for several years. I feel that Dr. Burton Sundin always takes good care of me. He takes his time, explains procedures thoroughly and quite often has his nurse follow-up with me to make sure everything is going well. He has a most pleasant manner and truly cares for his patients.

I had breast Implants placed by Dr. Sundin and I am just not completely happy with my results. I always wanted to not have to wear a lot of padding and underwire bras to make my breast look larger but unfortunately still need to wear them for that reason. A little disappointed that I went through this whole process because of time and money spent to not have the results I really wanted. However I am a larger size and it was an improvement overall, but I will more than likely be checking into other places when it's time to replace them. My experience with Dr. Burton Sundin and his staff was nothing short of excellent. Everyone made me feel at home and comfortable. Dr. Sundin is extremely knowledgeable, professional and caring. They go above and beyond.

I’ve gone to both Dr. Reps and Burton Sundin for the last few years’ for routine Botox, cool sculpting and fillers. Both Dr’s and their staff are fantastic. I was really nervous about looking frozen or done but was reassured by Dr. Reps and Rachel ( fantastic office manager) that I would look totally natural. They were right! Even my closest friends had no idea I had botox or fillers however, I am always complemented by old friends on how fantastic I look and that I look better than I did 5 years ago. New people and strangers can’t believe it when I tell them my age. I had a bartender once double check my ID and say “wow there are girls in here 10 years younger that don’t look as good as you do”. I’m currrntly in the in the hospital with my sister. My sister had a j plasma procedure with burton sundin on 9/28. The procedure was done unprofessionally and the office manager “Rachel” lied/pushed my sister into procedure. Her body shut down the night she went home from Mbody’s clinic. In 2016 I was looking for options to get rid of some unwanted fat in my belly area. I researched for many options and choose to give cool sculpting procedure a try. I had heard a lot of positive things about this procedure and especially the fact that it has no down time and its somewhat comfortable. I randomly picked this office and was excited for my results. I was happy with the staff that I met and liked the office. The procedure was explained to me and I was scheduled for 3 appointments. They told me that after the procedure is done I have to wait for at least 3-4 months to see results but I will for sure see a change. I left out the fact that on on of my appointments the machine was not working properly and I wonder if in face it ever did. In any case I did the procedure and paid the money and waited until December 2016 which would have been 4 months to see my results. Also in October of 2016 I joined a kickboxing class and went 4 times a week plus a very healthy diet and continued these classes all the way to March 2017. To my disappointment here came around December and I did not see a change what so ever. I was contemplating for a long time as to how to deal with my results and finaly after a long period about two weeks ago or so I decided to go for a consultation with Dr Sunden. He explained to me that many people have gotten positive results with cool sculpting but if I am not happy with my results then he will gladly repeat the procedure for me. He also explained other options to me after getting cool sculpting done for the second time that might me more practical for my body type. Being heard is number 1. I had a jaw break in 2016 that left my face looking awkward with hollow areas that were not like my face . I saw a few dictors to talk about fillers and each case left feeling unheard. I had my own ideas about how I wanted things to go with the understanding there's a method.. I had an ultherapy treatment on my neck/lower face in November and I absolutely love the change in my jawline and neck. I am 50 years old and had started to feel self conscious about the sagging skin on my jawline and the lack of firmness in my neck. After doing extensive research and polling friends and reading reviews, I went to Virginia Institute of Plastic Surgery for a lengthy consultation with Dr. Sundin and Jennifer, his master esthetician. Amazing results with Botox and laser facial treatments. The wait time is less than 10 minutes and the doctor does not make you sit forever once you are in the room. Botox injections were nearly painless and it's still active two months later! The laser treatment made my skin's tone and texture better after two treatments. The down time consisted of a sunburned appearance and minimal peeling for about three days. I recommend getting this done on a Friday so your recovery is over the weekend. I received Cool Sculpting on my thighs end of July, 2014, at Dr. Sundin's office, & couldn't be more pleased with the treatment from the staff, the facilities a, the explanations, and especially the results. By October I had lost about four inches off of my thighs! My jeans fit so much better, & I feel great. The only discomfort was about two weeks of slight burning in my thighs from time to time, but I would categorize it as irritating, certainly not debilitating. I have seen Dr. Sundin for both cosmetic and non-cosmetic procedures (surgical and non-invasive). He is the ultimate professional (as are his staff). Not only does Dr. Sundin do a great job (minimal scarring for surgeries and minimal to no pain for non-surgical procedures) but he does it with a great disposition and, most importantly, a great heart. He cares about his patients and their outcomes and is a stickler about the details, which I appreciate. His staff are extremely helpful and take care of every aspect of the non-medical care.
