Dr. Bruce A Segal

I took my grandfather for a follow up appointment. Staff was nice and patient. Environment appears clean. However the Dr. Segal was very rude and the appointment felt rush. Wished he was more patient with my grandfather especially since his primary clients are elderly and will need that . Only gave a 3 star because of the staff.

Two stars only for the assistant and office staff. Doctor visit very disappointed.

The optometrist rushed through the exam. Was not patient when eyes became blurred. She never explained anything. Was not happy with Dr. Segal. I explained on two separate occasions to the office manager. She couldn’t cate. Total waste.

My dad went there for a work accident, first of all he didn't know what they were going to do, they dilated the pupils, when he finished they have the audacity to give him dark glasses and they sent him home half blind driving home. So I feel like that was very irresponsible for the Clinic to do that and they haven't provide any medication for the pain in the eyes. So I hope they get better and learn how to treat your patients with a better aditude. This place major rip off !!! Went to Dr. Siegel To have my eyes checked have Humana Gold the co-pay is $5 and then they charge you $40 to check your eyes and they give it a fancy name ! I’ve never been to an eye doctor and paid more than the co-pay for the services you’re supposed to get for the co-pay !!! If you’re not going to check my eyes for the co-pay of five dollars then what am I doing here in the first place? Plus he takes on so many patients I felt like he had no time to look at my eyes and when I told him about my floaters he told me he had a doctor that does laser surgery on floaters for $1500 cash no insurance never heard of such a back room deal in my life stay far away!!!!! Do not go to this doctor ! He protects other doctors that are his friends that commit malpractice ! I had 3 incompetent ophthalmologists that misdiagnosed my detached retina, leading me to total blindness in my eye. It could have been corrected with a simple laser treatment if caught early. By my 4th doctor I was blind in that eye. I had to go to a retina doctor who repaired it, but with bad vision afterwards. He did his best and I have no complaint about him. 3 months post op, I only had 20-80 vision with distortions. He told me I had to go to a regular ophthalmologist to see if I could be corrected with glasses. He recommended Dr. Segal. He claimed that Dr. Segal handles special cases like mine. I called his office on 3- 9-20 and told his receptionist all I had been through, including that I might be taking legal action for the 3 doctors that misdiagnosed me and caused the blindness. She gave me an appointment for 3-15-21. On 3-10-21, I got a call from my retina doctor telling me that Dr. Segal did not want to see me because he doesn't want to get involved with anyone who has legal issues with these doctors. I called Dr. Segal's office, and he got on the phone telling me that these rogue doctors were his ' friends' and that he doesn't want to be involved with anyone who is taking legal action against them ! Then he tells me to go to Miami, about 60 miles away and choose a doctor there, because they won't know any of the doctors in my area, and they won't care what I do to them ! Dr. Segal is a disgrace. He puts his doctor ' friends' and their patient references before him treating me. He's more concerned with profits than people.

Great experience from start to finish - the staff was efficient and friendly although the place was busy. Best eye exam I've had - very thorough. Dr. Segal was busy but attentive.

The Worst Eye Doctor EVER!!!! He don’t care about you, only about your and insurance money. You lucky, if Dr. Bruce Segal will give you between 3 - 5 min of his pressures time. It’s like a human conveyor at his office. So here is my story: I start feeling little uncomfortable in my eyes, so went to Dr. Segal. He said everything fine, just by looking into my eyes, without any tests. Also said to come back in couple of weeks, if I don’t feel any better, and that was happening over and over again for month after month: 5 min of his time, no treatment, no listening about my suffering, just nothing wrong with your eyes - diagnose, come back in couple of weeks if you don’t feel better and crazy pain in my eyes. I could not open my eyes anymore, I was in such a pain, could not sleep, eat or drive. I had all the symptoms of severe dry eye, but Dr. Segal didn’t not see it. I insist, he put 4 permanent tear duct plugs, but they follow out in less than a week. Long story short, thanks to Dr. Segal expertise, I got sever chronic dry eye syndrome, also eye erosion and infection, I can’t open my eyes during the day or bright light, almost got blind. I went to Europe to the doctors there, so I can get help. The doctor was shocked to see my condition. I would not recommend Dr. Segal to my worst enemy. Thank you Dr. Segal for my pain and suffering. 1 star to many. Dr has a nice enough personality and that's it. Front desk-rude. Appointment feels rushed and patients packed in the office like sardines in a can. Sure its for the insurance claims. Dr. Segal was extremely nice, but his receptionists were so rude. By far the worst customer service I have ever had. I tried to tell them what was wrong and they would not even listen to me. They were just super condescending and short. Finally, one receptionist did listen and we could go ahead with the appointment, but it took about 25 minutes to get there. I have never had workers be so outright condescending and rude. It is a shame because Dr. Segal seemed knowledgeable and genuine. He was the only reason I did not give this 1 star. Attention to detail and personable and caring. He identified an eye problem that could have turned into a major problem but he caught it early. His office staff seem professional and experienced. He has many years of experience and his office is new, modern and inviting. I like the eye glass frame selection as well.

I love Dr. Segal and his staff. My eye exam was very thorough and gave me new information about my eyes that I greatly appreciated. I also had a good experience buying glasses there. They have a beautiful selection and helped me find reading glasses and sunglasses that I love. His office is also beautiful and seems to have the latest technology. I would highly recommend Dr. Segal to many friends and family. My eyesight went downhill fast. Couldn’t read, write, or drive just before surgery. I feel Dr. Segal saved my eyesight. I now have 20 20 vision in the eye that was operated on 1 week ago. He explains the procedure thoroughly so there are no surprises. Very caring of his patients. The Best Opthamoligist and surgeon I have ever gone to.

Unless there is a different office manager, I would sadly miss seeing Dr Bruce Segal, who himself is excellent but the office manager is rude. Rest of the staff are excellent!

Dr. Segal was good, knowledgeable and courteous. The receptionist however needs a lesson in customer service. Pretty rude and for that I won't go back.

Dr Segal is very knowledgeable and has a great personality. I have recommended several friends to him.

Today is Monday. I needed an emergency appointment to diagnose an issue with my right eye. I called Dr. Segal's office and before I could explain my problems, the secretary told me to come in right away. I was stunned. I had called various other doctors'offices and was rejected for one reason or another. Dr. Segal is friendly, warm, and pleasant. He diagnosed my problem in less than 10 minutes and I didn't feel rushed. Clean, quiet office that was very comfortable.

I lost my script for an eye infection so Dr. called me in a new one only insurance wouldn't cover cost twice so went from $10 to $100. Pharmacist told me have Dr. call in tobramycin and that would be about $15. He REFUSED to call the pharmacist again. It was a Saturday & he said "it would have to wait until Monday." I was dumbfounded. Dr. Segal prescribed an antibiotic for me knowing I had an eye infection & he refused to let me get my medicine for TWO days knowing I needed it! Not my doctor!

Dr. Segal is both an excellent surgeon and a kind and compassionate human being

My wife and I both needed to have our eyes checked. The first thing we noticed was that the office appeared to be a retail eyeglass store. The first questions that my wife and I were asked by the staff was. "ARE YOU GOING TO PURCHASE YOUR EYEGLASSES HERE?" We answered no,To make a long story short, three perscriptions were issued 1 for my wife and 2 for me. All 3 scripts,were incorrect. Our new glasses were unwearable. Unless you are purchasing your glasses from Dr. Segal;don't bother using him!

wonderful and caring physician. He tackles any problem like it is a challenge and always comes up with a course of action. Recommend him highly.

I recommend seeing Dr. Segal for any eye problems. He is very thorough, kind, respectful to his patients. He listens to you without interrupting. Also he thoroughly explains what your problem is and the treatment. He did such a great job examining me that I referred my husband and He likes him too.
