One of the best Ortho doctors in the area! I recommend him to all family and friends.

He is very well experienced, friendly and can break things down so you can understand the issue better.

Dr Bruce Knolmayer is very caring. He listens carefully and is thoughtful.

Dr Knolmeyer took time to discuss all of issues and explained his recommendations clearly and with care. Highly recommend this physician.

A week after my surgery and had a follow up with Dr. Knolmayer. He went over my surgery results and explained in detail each thing that he did to repair my rotator cuff and the things that needed repaired. His office is very well run, Professional and friendly.

Dr. Knolmayer is very knowledgeable in his field and has a wonderful bedside manner. His staff is also very kind and they treat you with respect.

What I like best about Dr Knolmayer is his ability to explain x-rays and next steps in lay terms. I know what to do next and who to see, if he is unable to assist me. I respect his professional opinion.

Some days the wait is longer with a very full slate of patients, but today the office was pretty empty and we got in quick. The assistant/tech was wonderful as usual, and Dr Knolmayer was, as usual fantastic. He is the reason why we drive over an hour and 53 miles from our home in Boonsboro - to get the best care and treatment available.

Dr Knolmeyer has clearly informed me of my options and tried to extend my mobility until my surgery. He is a time tested and a tremendous Doctor using his training and experience to help his patients and restore our health needs.

Dr. Knolmayer is an excellent physician who truly cares about his patients. He takes the time to explain any procedure and listens to patients concerns. I appreciate all he has done for me so that I can now enjoy being active again.

Dr knowelmeyer is the kindest, most thorough doctor I have ever encountered. He takes his time to explain options and instructions pre and post surgery. I’d recommend him to to anyone

Never had a problem with the staff, Doctor's or surgery. I highly recommend this office for your needs of medical care if need them. Dr. Bruce Knowlmyer and other doctors there are very exceptional.

Dr. Knolmayer is professional, compassionate, and very clear when describing pros and cons of treatment options. He is patient when answering questions and has great props for explaining surgical interventions. Truly a 5-STAR surgeon! Will be having my next joint replacement in 2 days!

He has been my orthopedic doctor for 20+ years. He listens and is not a doctor that thinks surgery is the only answer. I have a complex medical history and he has been great with everything that comes along with me being me.

I went to Dr Knolmayer for a second opinion on a knee that had a partial replacement and after 6 years was worst than before the surgery. My orthopedic at the time insisted all was well and nothing further could be done. Dr Knolmayer confirmed my knee was arthritic with two bone spurs. I had a revision to the knee with a full replacement and feeling much better. I would highly recommend his practice. He listened to my concerns and never rushed any visits for which I was always seen on time.

Dr. Knolmayer is a thoughtful and caring specialist -- and it's often hard to find those two characteristics in one doctor these days. He is knowledgable and takes the time to educate his patients about what is happening to them. It can be a little difficult to get through to his very busy office, but the staff is professional and helpful. Emailing him through the MedStar portal has worked for me. Dr Knowlmeyer is a Surgeon with excellent bed Side manners I’ve known He explains any problem you have showing you the MRI or RAY if he is not 100% sure he will send you to a Specialist immediately Surgery is always his last option so until you can’t handle your pain he will suggest Surgery He did mi knee replacement two years ago and now my last option is a hip replacement due to severe Arthritis He is a very caring Doctor ♥️ Dr Knowlmeyer is a Surgeon with excellent bed Side manners I’ve known He explains any problem you have showing you the MRI or RAY if he is not 100% … More

Dr. Knolmayer just operated on my wife for a broken ankle. She was very apprehensive and nervous about the procedure but Dr. Knolmayer took his time with her, explained the entire process and put her mind at ease. After the surgery, he sat down with me and explained what had been done and what we needed to do and what we should expect going forward. He is another example of the type of doctors MedStar has on staff that are truly professional and just know what they are doing. His assistant, Nicardi made the follow up appointments so easy and his medical tech, Devon, really helped with making sure she gets the best treatment at the physical rehab center where she is now. His office made me make a follow up appointment for my knee. When I arrived for my appointment, they didn’t know why I was there and wanted me to fill out forms that I had filled out the month before. After spending $600 on my first visit, you would think they would look at their computer and do some homework when I arrived. When I complained that if they cared, they should know my condition, the person at the desk said “that’s fine” I told her it’s not fine...she should have apologized. I told her to cancel my appointment. The staff has not been properly trained. Their level of incompetence was unacceptable to me.

Dr. Knolmayer listened closely to my questions and concerns, and after a detailed review of the MRI and findings, he clearly explained his diagnostic. It was very easy to understand and I'm glad that I visited his office. I highly recommend Dr. Knolmayer.

Dr. Knolmayer is the best orthopedic doctor I have ever seen. After seeing multiple doctors for a shoulder problem he was the only doctor that knew how to fix it. He's caring, very efficient, great bedside manner and his staff is wonderful as well. I had my shoulder operated on today and I'm so happy Dr. Knolmayer did my surgery. Best surgeon for shoulders and I recommend him highly.

Dr. Knolmayer is a very kind doctor, but if you have a fall or other injury, you are repeatedly reminded by his staff that he can only see you for 2 body parts. I fell and injured several body parts and had a broken arm--had x-rays. The doctor told me he could only evaluate me for 2 body parts. He did evaluate my shoulder, elbow, wrist, and ankle, but I felt like I was "putting him out." Seriously, has medical care degraded this much? No MRI either, despite months of physical therapy.

Best experience I've ever had with an MD. From his bedside manner, his time that he takes explaining and going over results, to his experience that led to my successful surgery, I find Dr. Knolmayer to be fantastic. He also listens to my concerns and questions with patience and understanding.
