I seriously wonder how they gave this guy a license. Completely unprofessional! They need to revoke his license.

Not sure why so many ppl said he was rude ( im not dismissing their experience but for me that wasn't the case). He was actually SUPER nice, was very thorough, took his time. I didn't feel rushed at all. Answered all my questions and before we were done with the appointment he made sure to ask me if I had any other questions before I left. I almost didn't make an appointment with him because of the terrible reviews.

Found him rude. He even raised his voice to me. What doctor does that. He kept going back and forth on things. Asked questions that was already on file. Within 5 minutes said people with my condition usually get an operation. I informed him I didn’t want any now. After a while he said you not that bad. What?

Very rude and inappropriate doctor. Would not recommend.

Explains everything, very knowledgeable, takes time to answer all my question, made me feel conforable I'm going to recommend him to anyone who needs a Rheumatologists.

If I can give him 0 stars I would. Made an appointment 2 years ago & had to reschedule that appointment for a later date. I accidently missed my appointment that I rescheduled because my wife just gave birth & it was so far in advance from when the appointment was made that it slipped my mind. Just tried making an appointment today (again first available is a month from now) & the secretary told me he will not see me because according to "their" records, I missed 5 appointments & I need to search for another doctor. I did not have a good experience with this doctor. When I sat down in the exam room he asked me if I had the covid vaccine and I said yes, and then he proceeded to remove his mask. He didn’t even ask me if I was comfortable with that. He told me I could take my mask off too if I wanted to and I said no. I didn’t even say how uncomfortable I felt by him removing his without asking because I didn’t want to make the visit awkward. He had classical music playing in the background the entire time I was in the exam room. During our time together someone knocked on the door and said when he has a few moments she wants to speak to him, then he proceeded to leave the room during the middle of the exam to speak to a colleague. He came back in and about 10 minutes later he received a phone call and then proceeded to answer the call and walk out of the exam room again, I’m guessing someone asked what he was up to because as he was exiting the room for the second time during our exam I heard him say “nothing much, I’m just finishing …”. He tried telling me that all he could give me was his opinion and he kept brushing off what I was saying. I don’t feel like I got a good opinion on my concerns. Horrible!! Rude, inconsiderate and arrogant. Went to him twice. My first visit he told me that I needed to get the vaccine for COVID as well as telling my I have RA. I decided not to get the vaccine, my personal choice!! Next visit he asked if I got it, I said "I did not", he said "I CAN NOT TREAT YOU THEN"! He didn't even want to hear my concerns regarding it. Just repeated himself "I CANT NOT TREAT YOU THEN"!

I suffer from a lot of pain in my body, but this poor excuse for a human didn't even look at me ask me questions or anything of the sort. He just said you have depression. Horrible experience. Because of the pandemic my mother had to reschedule on two different occasions and then the third time they told me that doctor would be unable to see her as a result of the rescheduling. Everyone failed to mention this policy during the time I was canceling or even prior. The office staff did not care and just replied well what do you want me to do now. I see why the doctor has poor ratings. It's unfortunate that they can't make adjustments due to the circumstances and express no desire to help their patients. Never bringing my mother here again. I went today for the time . The girl in front was very sweet and helpful. My general doctor didn’t give me the right referral so she helped me by calling my insurance and my doctor / finally i was set but the girl in front said i might not be seen because all this took an extra half hour . I was happy when they called me in . I went in with the other girl. She bought me to the room , asked me questions about my health etc . Out comes the doctor and says he will not see me . He kept saying no, no. I’m not seeing you . You can come back at the end of the day . Extremely unprofessional. I was already in the room . He could have taken a few minutes to see me . I set a new appt but honestly don’t even want to go . He turned me off . I am going to see what’s going on with my pain . But i think after i will search for a new doctor . About a year ago I fell very ill and didn't have a clue what was happening. My primary recommended I see a rheumatologist and that is how I found Dr. Garner. Dr. Garner quickly diagnosed me and helped me get back on my feet which took about 6 months. He would spend an hour with my husband and I talking through any questions or concerns I had. He was also very quick to respond via email. I have nothing but good things to share about Dr. Garner. About a year ago I fell very ill and didn't have a clue what was happening. The staff is so nice and Dr. Garner is very patient with me and listens to everything you say. I'm very satisfied with him. You dont wait long in the office.

Very professional. Nice guy

I had a very different experience than the ones posted. I went in with excruciating pain, Dr.Garner was kind, gentle, and humorous. He gave me an injection that took the pain away.

He’s very professional well caring about his patients love going to his office

horrible is the way to describe. could not diagnose the issue. nothing was helpful by going to this doctor. could not explain questions regarding ANA on blood . wrong diagnosis which had noting to do with my symptoms. would not recommend.

This "Doctor" is the most unprofessional, uncaring and unethical Doctor I've ever had the experience of observing. My parents went to him for a while and every experience was worse then the last. But yet they are loyal and forgiving and continued going to see him regardless of his stubborn and nonchalant, negative attitude. This came to a boil when he was extremely nasty, nastier than usual, on their latest visit and they will NEVER EVER see him again. There are many doctors out there I plead with you to do yourselves a favor and avoid this guy at all costs!!!!!! My parents are not annoying patients and this cocky Doctor has lost very good patients, and hopefully many more that will read these reviews!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!! Dr Is very courteous and answers any question in detail. I don't feel rushed and am confident with his answers on my discoid Lupus issue. Secretary is pleasant though at first you may feel she's not. Only complaint I have is waiting time is too long. Appointment is scheduled but it's almost an hour wait after scheduled time.

I have been taking my girlfriend here for a while, she herself has been going for years and has been having problems with him. He does not like to help his patients at all. He is not very nice, and he demands that you show up at his office no matter what. If you get sick, he doesn't care. You need to get there, or he will drop you. If you need an R.A, please find yourself someone who cares. If you go to him, DO NOT CANCEL!!!!!!! If he needs to cancel on you last minute, he will, and that's ok. You can't, it's not what his rules say. He is a Doctor with an attitude, and a Doctor who's incapable of doing his job. STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!! Office manager is a nightmare to deal with.

I recently went to see Dr. ,i was suffering various issues of hair loss and fatigue and I was worked up for autoimmune issues during my visit with Dr. Garner I found him to be utmost professional in his field ,he eased all my anxieties and was very thorough in explaining all my medical conditions I hold Dr Garner in the highest regard and would highly recommend him to friends and family. I wish all doctors possessed the care, concern,and compassion, that he does with his patience.

I was sent to Dr. Garner with a diagnosis of Lupus. He spent an hour with my sister and me going over all my previous records and examining me and explaining why thank G-d I did not have Lupus. He was kind and compassionate. He treated us both courteously and answered all of our questions without talking down to us. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a rheumatologist in Brooklyn

I went to Dr. Garner for about 2 yrs. At first he seemed like a great doc, supposed to be #1 in Brooklyn. Yet, I had one horrible experience after another. I was a young mom of 2, about 24 diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. My first appointment he was very nice and informative. I signed some documents running through the paperwork like most people and didn't realize it stated "no children allowed in the office." First I've ever heard, so the following appt I had my MIL watch the newborn and I took my then 3y.o with me. He was actually a bit rude in telling me I could no longer bring her, stating it was very distracting for him to talk with me re my disease. I wound up missing a couple of appts bc I couldn't get a sitter, seeing as how on many occasions I'd wait almost 3 hours for him. NOT because he was busy. But bc he just wasn't there. In the paperwork you sign, it states, on top of the no children rule, you have to be on time or you lose your appt/dropped as a patient and if a SINGLE appt is missed you will be dropped no questions asked. So I can't be late but he can with no excuses and to then be rushed out the door. It's been a rough few yrs being diagnosed with this disease, caring for my children, divorce and deaths in the family and his office could give two sh*ts about what is going on in your life, you missed it and now your dropped. To me, the BEST doc/rheumatologist would be one who is understanding to LIFE and situations and having children and be supportive to you SEEING AS HOW I HAVE A FRIGGIN DISEASE AND ALL.
