Bruce Cahill

Same issue as other reviewers. At no time was I ever informed Cahill was out of network (I have UHC); in fact, I went to great lengths to make sure insurance would cover everything. Surprise! I still got stuck with an $800 surprise balance bill from anesthesiologist Bruce Cahill. I sent a letter asking him to adjust the bill and it was ignored. His office just re-sent the $800 statement. He's a money-grabbing slimebag. I'm trying to figure out how to fight this.

Not forthcoming! At no time prior to my surgery did the doctor or his staff informed me that he was out-of-network and although I have excellent health insurance with a low deductible and low coinsurance, because he was out-of-network, my health insurance only paid less than $100 and the anesthesiologist is now billing me for over $1000 and threatening to turn me over to collections. Make sure you ask your surgeon who your anesthesiologist is so that you can ensure that your health insurance will cover the anesthesiologist. Dr. Cahill is a MONEYGRABBER

Awful and not trustworthy. Dr. Cahill was my anesthesiologist for a broken wrist surgery I had in 2020. While I was in-network with the surgeon, I was not in-network with Dr. Cahill and I have a bill for close to $1000 for me to pay after I have already paid my $5000 deductible. I was never informed verbally or received any written notice that he is not in-network, or an estimated cost for being out of network. I find it interesting that he billed me $960 when Arizona law requires the bill to be at least $1000 to start the dispute resolution process, coincidence? I think not. I find it despicable that after having an accident where my wrist was broken, enduring surgery, weeks of physical therapy, and the cost of paying my deductible of $5000, he would like to add over $800 out of my pocket because the in-network reimbursement was not enough for him. Seems to me an easy way for Dr. Cahill to put an extra $800+ in his pocket by taking advantage of the system and his patients.
