Dr. Bridget M Abney

Dr. Abney watched me sob uncontrollably in front of her as she proceeded to raise her voice at me over some confusing test results. I will never see her again.

Patient for 20 years. Love her. She has helped me through several health issues. She is gentle and knowledgeable

One of the best doctors. Very straightforward, to the point. I was in high risk pregnancy and I received the best care with successful full term delivery. Her nurse Roxane is super awesome and was really concerned about my overall health. Ultrasound team is also very good and caring. Overall a very good experience with the team.

Doesn't seem to care about her patients. Very incompetent. Multiple labs abnormal and she told me everything was normal when the results showed otherwise. Doesn't know how to recognize yeast infections during pregnancy. Her nurse Roxanne is nice but that can't fix the issues. Switching doctors and never going back. So glad St Luke's is getting rid of the whole practice. Dr. Miller was the best one they had but she retired awhile ago.

I "was" a patient until today. Worst treatment ever by staff. I had a mixup with Ins company and showed no coverage. I called to make Appt for my annual visit and the office refused to make an appointment because my ins. carrier showed ins. was not active. Here's to blocking access to healthcare. I went ahead and found another doctors office and paid cash and just reimbursed until ins. could get itself straightened out. Never have I been treated so poorly in my life!!

**CAUTION** I was a patient of "Dr." Abney for over 10 years. As I aged, I began to have problems. Year after year, she told me these changes are "normal." Not knowing, I believed her and my issues progressed to the point I could hardly walk. Every day is a struggle. At the suggestion of multiple female friends, telling me these issues are NOT normal, I finally sought a 2nd opinion. On my first visit to a real gynecologist, I was diagnosed and am now effectively being treated. Don't risk your life with "Dr." Abney. I wouldn't trust her to do a pap, let alone deliver a baby, or attempt to diagnose a serious problem like endometriosis or PCOS. **CAUTION** I was a patient of "Dr." Abney for over 10 years. I love Dr. Abney. After many years of suffering from horrible cramps and heavy cycles, she was able to get to the root of my problem. None of my other drs were able to help. She is very straight forward and does not sugar coat things. This is what I like about her. She cares about patients and wants to help them. Roxane (her nurse) is super nice and fun to talk to too!!

Dr. Abney is the ob I see at this clinic. I do not recommend seeing the nurse practitioner if at all possible.. if it wasn't for me speaking against her I may have went to give birth to my daughter at 30 weeks rather than later. She didn't use the right blood pressure cuff and wanted to diagnose me with pre eclampsia. Dr. Abney has been by my side and called me back on almost all my major questions I have. She's helped me in keeping track of goals and what not. I recommend her personally as she's the only ob that I've seen for pregnancy but very great at her job. She doesn't just view it as a job but rather as a passion. Will use her for my next child whenever that will be. Dr. Abney is the ob I see at this clinic. Doctor Abney is awesome. She is down to Earth, no muss no fuss, tell it like it is. She delivered both my girls, we had a wonderful experience.

I never had a good rapport with Dr. Abney. I really liked her nurse but I worked in an environment not conducive to pregnancy and even though I had three separate issues come up that took me away from my job for multiple times she would not fill out FMLA paperwork. I nearly lost my job. On one occasion she even said she would fill it out because I was told to stay home by the office's on call doctor and I found out after my window of op. closed to submit it that she never filled it out.

Dr Abney is a to the point no frills doctor. She seems very knowledgeable and experienced, and explains everything in terms a non medical professional can understand. Excellent surgeon! C-section went unbelievably well...very skilled doctor. I've moved since starting care at Northland Womens Healthcare but will make the drive if I become pregnant again to see Dr Abney.

I was a transfer patient to Dr. Abney. When I was first seen by Dr. Abney I was well into my third trimester, in fact I was only 4 weeks away from delivery. Dr. Abney was very good at taking her time with me and answering all of my questions and helping me work through my anxieties. I knew for a fact that I was in good hands in the OR because the anethesiolgist was asking me questions about my previous c-section that was done at an army base and the previos anethesioligist didn't talk to me at all while I was in there, in fact the doctor and nurse staff that delivered my first son didn't even acknowledge that I was in the room!! So hearing the Dr.Abney's staff talk to me about my previous expereince let me know that she took the time to give them a heads up about how my previous c-section went and to make sure I had a positive experience this time. If I should get pregnant again while we are out here in the Kansas City area I hope that I can go back to St. Luke's and have Dr. Abney again.
