Dr. Brian E Zganjar

Dr. Zganjar started seeing my older children in the early 2000s, and my youngest since born in 2006. 1994-2003, my oldest were covered by La Kid Med and we were shuffled and counted like herd, spending half days waiting to be seen by NP or Dr. THEN Dr. Zganjar moved to Denham. Almost 20 years later, I still remember our first visit with him. I was human. Not a Medicaid id number or patient not deserving more than 10 minutes, because time was money and not much money was paid, from Kidmed, for my children. Back then, not only did he treat my youngest when she was first born, he administered her immunizations. When walked in room, he didn't leave until all was done. Needless to say, he had a strong presence in my oldest children's care until they were 18. I can remember them not wanting to promote to the next level of adulthood and choosing a primary caretaker. With my youngest now 15, she will see whomever is available. Dr. Sarah is fav, and enjoys visits with admin & staff.

The nurse practitioners are great! But the Receptionist is never any help. Always has a little attitude. It Gets very frustrating when is comes to my kids and important paper work or appointments, having to speak with someone like her so uncaring and unwilling to help.

Called to get a Dr excuse for my nephew an told them I'd be there before closing. Got there a few minutes before 5 an they where already closed. Misleading closing time I guess should of said before 5 or whenever.

Not only is Dr Zganjar both my sons’ Pediatrician but he was also mine when I was a child. He is an amazing doctor and so thankful to have him in my family’s life for so long. I would recommend him to anyone looking for child healthcare!!!

He is the best doctor.... I love him and my grandkids love him.

I’ve been taking my kids here for a really long time. Now my grandkids have been seeing them for 13 years. Actually, my daughter is now 30 and was a patient till she was 18. Then she had her own kids (my beautiful grands) and they are now patients. They have several doctors and nurses on hand. Very polite, professional and I trust all of their opinions on what’s going on with my 4 littles. So I highly recommend this clinic of amazing people. Thankful for them all. (continued from last review) the assistant was an older lady, late 30s with shoulder length black hair - tied into a ponytail. heavier set. anyways, she comes into the room behind me, making a ton of unnecessary remarks and being a complete witch. she sits at the desk and starts writing, without speaking to me directly. she continues speaking under her breath as another lady walks in. shorter lady with glasses and blonde/brown hair. she begins to apologize for the way we have been treated at the office, i begin speaking to her in disbelief that the lady at the desk is still rambling. i explain how shocked i am that this woman is continue to behave this way. the assistant at the desk STANDS UP AND WALKS TOWARDS ME like she is going to get into a physical confrontation with me. the blonde with the glasses holds her hands up towards the woman and says "no, no, stop, sit down" i literally feel threaten by this WORKER in front of my children. i begin to explain to her that she is very unprofessional and gives the entire office a terrible name because of the way she handles herself and patients. the other assistants come into the room and give my son his shots. we are in the room a total of 5 minutes after i walk down the hall to leave. THAT is how fast what needed to be done COULD of been done. i was told we were forgotten about. how do you forget about your patients who you are being PAID to look after. Not only that, but i reminded them that we need to be seen !! i feel very bad that Dr.Zganjars reputation is being ruined and dragged because of the assitants that are in his office that do not work professionally. i am currently looking for a new doctor for my kids and will never recommend this office to ANYONE until new staff is in place. the waiting room that was once full, is now empty as we leave. 4:30pm i walk out in complete disbelief and absolutely disgusted by the way these women work. i may even call and attempt to speak to Dr.Zganjar himself to let him know the hostility and the very toxic and uncomfortable enviroment some of these women are creating and that they are ruining his reputation that im sure he has worked very hard for. i hope the women involved get terminated or something is done for their behavior. Dr. Zganjar is a friendly man and a very good doctor. however, your child is rarely seen by Dr.Zganjar himself. for the last five years, my children have been coming to this office and majority of the time they are seen by one of the assistants. Which leads me to the encounter i experienced yesterday,'which in return is the reason for the one star review. I arrived at the office at 2:30 with my 5 and 2 year old. my 5 year old had an appointment for a follow up, and my 2 year old needed some shots. Our appointments are for 3pm, and we were called to the back rather quickly considering the amount of patients waiting to be seen. The first assistant that we were greated by was rather confused on where to place myself and my kids and walked around not really knowing what to do or how to do anything. just over all confused. i shrugged that off because everyone has those days and were all only human. The second encounter we had was with (surprisingly) Dr.Zganjar, (i understand hes a busy man and runs basically the entire office himself, so im not overly concerned about anyone else assisting my kids) he is very friendly and very pleasant to speak with. he informed me of any issues the kids were having and immediately recommended what should be done. i was overall impressed. NOWWWW comes the problem. After the doctor came in, we have been at the office for about 40 minutes overall. my kids are well behaved and patiently waiting for the appointment to be over. so we sat and waited.. and waited.. and waited.. and waited.. and waited. at this point (with nothing for kids to be entertained by and being closed inside a small overall empty room) they start getting antsy and upset. we have been sitting in this room for 30 MORE minutes. no one checking on us, no one speaking to us. no one doing anything, literally just silence and waiting. besides the chatter going on outside of our room and my kids being frustrated. I start getting frustrated as well, not planning to spend my entire day here and feeling forgotten, i go to the desk in the hallway and let the assistants at the computer know that we have been waiting for a long time and nothing has been done for the last 45 minutes. they (a group of women) start getting snarky. one lady, a larger, younger woman with glasses is in the back holding some shots in her hand and is saying "i was supposed to give someone shots but i dont know who) before anyone says anything to me the other women are sitting at the computer gossiping and talking about everything other than their job and laughing until im finally noticed as im standing LITERALLLLLYYY in front of them for 5 minutes. I told her my son needs his shots, and we have been waiting a long time. she rolls her eyes and says "im getting to it now" i say okay, thanks and go back into the room with my NOW fussy kids. we wait. and wait. and wait. and wait. ANOTHER 30 minutes and no one has come in. i get my stuff together, my children and i leave the room and walk down the hall (where these women are still gathered and gossiping) we approach the checkout counter where a girl named Erika was sitting. i told her that this needs to be rescheduled and i cant wait here all day for someone to actually do their job correctly. while im speaking to this woman, ANOTHER nurse walks down the hallway and stares at me with the most disgusting expression on her face. she says "maam, we have the shots right here" i said, "you had the shots 30 minutes ago, are you going to hold them this time or are you actually going to give them to my son without making us wait another hour?" she started to giggle in an obnoxious way and told me to go back to the room and someone will be with me. i go back to my room, extremely frustrated at this point. The same lady follows me into the room and sits at the computer with the shots, making all kinds of remarks and having the worst attitude i have ever experienced at any doctors office. So I absolutely love Dr. Zganjar and think he’s the best pediatrician. I do like one of the Nurse practitioners. I want to say her name is Audrey. She’s amazing. Nurse Kelly couldn’t be a more kind hearted and professional. Lately though I’ve found myself taking my children to the walk in OLOL or North Oaks after hours bc they rarely get to see Dr. Zganjar, Audrey NP, Or Kelly RN. They made their visits pleasant. I will say I loved that they pierced my daughters ears correctly and she never cried or had an infection after getting them for $25. Greeeaaat child doctor,great with kids,keeps you up on everything. If this was the old west,he'd be "Doc". If your looking for one for your child,or children,Dr. Brian Zganjar(Skynar) is the man.

Dr. Zganjar is a VERY good doctor.But I took my kids to the clinic, I paid around 80 dollars already. After one month, I received a $155.06 bill again! I called them and asked if I didn’t use the insurance get cheaper! Why don’t you tell me at that moment! Let me pay extra money! That is ridiculous!

Rude & unprofessional. My son had an fever of over 100 & the nurse (Kelly) was being very sarcastic about the situation. Im already frustrated so that made it even worse. I love this doctor I’ve been with him for all my 16 yeas of living and I’m healthy as a horse. He is an amazing man and the team he has is even more amazing.

Absolutely love it here. We have seen two different doctors in this practice and have been amazed. They are great with my kids. So refreshing coming to an office that truly cares about the kids.

My child has been goin here since he was born he is 3 1/2 now. When we 1st started goin the service was good we always got in same day the nurse Mrs Kelly is awesome she always made sure we were taken care of . About about a month ago I called early am to make my child an appt bc he was running fever around the clock and he began developing this rash all over his body and was coughing uncontrollably. Ok after calling numerous times bc they kept hanging up after putting me on hold one nurse told me she couldn't see me child this day at all and it was a FRIDAY, bc they had already too many patients and 900am. And for me to send a pic of my child's rash to them so I did. And the diagnosis I got was he had SCABIES without asking further questions or showing concern they told me all they could do was prescribe him ointment.. the next am we ended up in the ER w full blown flu ???? and it was a really bad case it ,his body began shutting down . They have no concern about their patients and they have so many patients and so little staff I would never recommend anyone to take their child here my baby could have ended up in the icu had we waited till Monday to get care from their doctor ???????? I never new my kids where missing out at their last doctors till we came here always great and my 3 kids love them

I love this Drs office and staff I have not had any complaints about them. They are very friendly and they don't treat my kids like a chart.

Love how the staff goes above and beyond for their patients!! Dr. Zganjar spends alot of time talking with parents and has an excellent bed side manner, attention to detail and it is clear that he loves what he does !! We LOVE this office!!

We moved to the area and blindly chose a pediatrician for our 4-month-old baby. We've been several times for immunizations and the like, and every single time the nurses and Dr. Zganjar are amazing. There are a lot of reviews about the front-desk staff being untrained or unhelpful. Truthfully, I can neither confirm nor deny this; we've never really had any issues (but we've also not had any special needs like sick visits). The doctor and his nurse caught an early diagnosis for our daughter's vision-- one that could have resulted in problems later on were it not addressed early. I really appreciate the attentiveness and thoroughness of the medical staff. My review is based solely on them; they're phenomenal. He's been the pediatrician to all of my kids and stepkids. He actually saved my step sons life. The hospital sent him home with a bad valve in his heart and if not for Dr. Zganjar realizing it and taking immediate action, my son would be dead. He's got great bedside manner with children. Very gentle. Also takes the time to sit and talk to worrysome parents (me) about any and everything! He's been our family's pediatrician for more than 15 years and will remain until our kids are grown.

Dr. Zganjar is a VERY good doctor. I just wish his employees were not so rude. The service terrible. They will have no problem making sure you feel stupid. They refuse service to walk ins even if their site reads they will have same day sick appts. They do NOT work with you on anything. Customer service is non existent. Expect to wait at least 40 minutes after you arrive for your apt on time. Biggest compliant is staff. They lie to your face about many things because they are lazy. No one knows what they are doing. This is a pediatric office. They did not have a children's area for play, or a separate area for sick and well children. I showed up 20 minutes early to my apt with my ill, uncomfortable child. We were not put into a room until 70 minutes after the apt time. Which also did not have any kind of entertainment for a child. Just an empty room with a couple of chairs to wait. The doctor did not come in for another 30 minutes. She quickly looked over my daughter. She spent no more than 5 minutes with us. She wrote up a prescription and we left. Weeks later we received a bill for $230 after our already $50 co-pay. Even though after our insurance discount. I was asked to pay $155, which would of been happily taken care of. How ever, when I called to pay my bill. I was placed on hold three separate times with a young lady who was obviously untrained. My quick call to pay my bill turned into a 15 minute hold. When the young lady finally had her information together I told her I was ready to make my payment. She then informed me that I could not pay online or over the phone. I would have to drive to make the payment since I only have a health savings debit card. Unfortunately, I am a 30 minute drive. I will NOT be going to that place again. It was such an awful experience to begin with. I would not recommend this office to anyone. This is a pediatric office.
