Brian is informative and helpful but appears to rush through consultations. He is consistently late for appointments (between 15 and 45min)

Dr Szura frequently made me feel 2" tall. He had terrible bedside manner and decorum. I found that he would only speak to my husband or partner (male) versus to me directly. He wouldn't knock when he came in, gave me an injection without disinfecting the skin first or warning me that he was about to do so (he then made a comment that he has no sympathy for people who have tattoos that complain of pain). He didn't believe me after I thought I re-tore my shoulder, and went in for "exploratory" surgery to find a full thickness tear which required substantial repair. Dr. was informative, answered my questions, told me my options and explained procedure before starting.

Operated on knee and both Achilles over 25 years ago saw again this week, as always, the best, wouldn't think of seeing anyone else

I can’t say enough about my experience with Dr. Szura. He is always willing to discuss treatment options and actually listens to his patients. I have been treated for tendinitis “tennis elbow” in both arms and also patella/knee deterioration. I appreciate that he takes in to consideration my past history and treatments when performing his diagnosis. He is also quite personable, which goes a long way. I have been going to Dr. Shura for 20 years and have always been happy with the results. He has operated on one shoulder and treated the other shoulder and I am now seeing him for a knee injury.

Dr. Szura was friendly and knowledgeable. The visit was helpful and I am confident in his diagnosis.

Dr. Szura takes the time to listen and get background on your situation before offering resolutions rather than just relying on textbook responses. I am sure he has seen and heard it all multiple times but it is refreshing to feel that your experience is personalized.

What a pleasant experience and so refreshing to find a doctor who truly takes time to LISTEN and DIAGNOSE his patient...a rare treat in today's healthcare world! Medical assistant and X-ray technician were as helpful and professional as Dr. Szura. A great experience!

Quick and easy

Dr. Szura and his assistants are all very caring, patient and helpful. I felt so well informed and welcomed there!

My visit was excellent. Dr. Szura and his staff are always polite, considerate and punctual. Problem was described, questions answered with a direction to go forth, and a plan for the next step if needed.

A very engaged and caring Dr. I liked him so much that I will be going to him from now on instead of my previous orthopedic.

Very easy to understand. Nice personality. Great staff. Everything was explained to me in detail and I had no unanswered questions when I left.

On a recent visit Dr Szura and his staff spent a lot of time with me reviewing images and explaining my injury and advising me on options. I appreciate that Dr Szura gives honest, forthright opinions and recommends the least invasive treatments available. One downside of visiting this practice is that Dr Szura is often running behind schedule, so you could experience long wait times; this can be inconvenient if you have a busy schedule of your own. Always takes the time to explain issues and thoroughly details recommendations/procedures.

The visit with the doctor was excellent, I had a very minor issue to discuss, he covered it perfectly. It took all of five minutes speaking with the doctor and 15 minutes for X-rays; however getting to see the doctor took 1 3/4 hours because there were 6 pages, front and back, of paperwork required before I could see the doctor. I arrived at 2:00. My appointment was at 2:30. I left at 4:00. I was ask to come in at 2:00 since I was a new patient. The forms required a complete medical history for me and my family, etc. I ask the receptionist if a limited amount of information could be given since the information required was for surgeries, dates and doctors, and phone numbers that where up to 60 years ago. When you are 79, that is a lot of years of information to cover and should not be expected to be filled out sitting in a waiting room.

Love Dr. Szura! I do not hesitate to make an appointment with him for any orthopedic need. He is very pleasant and professional. Highly recommend him!

Registration, nurse assessment, x-ray and doctor visit were great. Little wait time between each. All questions answered and I didn’t feel rushed. Pleased with plan of care.

Dr. Szura was attentive and explained exactly what my injury was. He really listened to me and took the time to answer all of my questions -proving the assurances I was looking for and confidence in the recommended path to recovery.

Dr. Szura is great. I reached him on call with an urgent need and he got me in very quickly. The office was very efficient and pleasant. He explained everything in a thorough manner. I would highly recommend him.

Top Notch! Dr. Szura is always caring and competent. He always talks with me about all medical issues, not just the proximate one I came in for. I've been seeing him for many years, and I'd never go elsewhere.

Friendly and professional!

Dr. Szura was very polite and his mannerism was wonderful. He made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Szura allowed me to express how my knee, leg, an ankle pain was making me feel. He understood my situation and has given me the tools and advice that I needed to get better. Top quality care with a doctor and host staff that listens and cares. His nurse is a rockstar!! Very comfortable and confident with the care.

This is an awesome orthopedic practice! Great customer service, professional staff, exhibited kind and caring concern. Dr. Szura is wonderful. Very concerned about the fracture and gave me options for treatment. The team did not rush me through, gave considerable time and attention to make sure my medical needs were met, and were cautious not to cause additional pain.

I had meniscus surgery 5 weeks ago and I have had more pain since the surgery than I experienced before the actual surgery. I went for an early follow up and was rushed through the appointment with very little explanation except to "give it time" that "I am being impatient". I do not feel my questions or concerns have been answered or considered. I have called and left messages with concerning my care and have yet to have someone return my calls. This was a workman's comp issue so I went with who I was told to go see. I have previous had knee surgery and had very little issue and was pleased with the outcome with another facility in the area. Dr. Szura (silent S) is very knowledgeable and has a very positive attitude. While this was my first visit with him I am sure subsequent appointments will be upbeat and positive.

Dr Szura was extremely helpful and took all the time I needed to explain the issues and treatments necessary. He explained in detail what to expect and what our future options would be if this did not work. I would definitely recommend him and his staff!

The only downside was the wait time. My appointment was at 10:20 and it was almost 12:00 before the doctor came in and 12:30 when I left. They were busy, but i didnt think it was overly so. The staff and doctor were wonderful.

Dr. Szura has been amazing in his care of my Ortho needs over the years! So grateful for his expertise and professionalism!

Dr. Szura was personable and really took an interest in my issue. I felt like he genuinely cared about my issue and helping me find a resolution without just prescribing meds and having me continue to come back with no resolution. I will definitely see him again!

Very knowledgeable and experienced with good bedside manner. Dr. Shura has performed arthroscopic surgery on shoulder years ago and recently repaired a ruptured biceps tendon. Very good results each procedure. Highly recommend for sports medicine type procedures.

Excellent visit - the wait was within expectations (approximately 10 minutes) after x-rays, Dr. Szura discussed all my treatment options and together we chose a treatment pathway. He answered all of my questions and made sure a follow-up visit was scheduled.

Dr. Szura was fantastic. Loved him. He was very personable, knowledgeable and listened to, and addressed, my concerns. The front staff members were nice also. The only thing i didn't like was the fact i sat in the waiting room for about 35-40 min. after my appt time before being called back, while i watched many other people come in and go back within 5 minutes. I don't know if that's because i was a new patient and they were inputting info or what.

Today I met with Dr. Szura for my knee discomfort. I've never been to Cary Orthopaedic before but even from the initial conversation with Jason over the phone everyone was very nice, extremely professional. This doesn't seem to be the norm in most medical offices. When I arrived they got me right in and explained along the way the next steps. The complete staff was very polite and made a point to say "Have a good Day". Dr. Szura was recommended to me by my wife because 2 years ago she had a frozen shoulder, one doctor wanted to operate but Dr. Szura said she just needed 6 months of physical therapy. Now that's ethics! I've found with some doctors they don't have much of a bedside manner or they don't come across as being genuine. Dr. Szura was easy to talk too, he gave me options and flat out very ethical in his practice. I would definitely recommend Dr. Szura to others. This is a guy that truly enjoys what he does but more so in helping others!
