Dr. Brian J Sullivan

I had a discectomy about 5 years ago with Sullivan, since I have had to have two more surgeries and I am still in pain. Not only would he not return my calls after surgery but I could not get any information from him. Terrible!!

Dr. Sullivan preformed 3 disc replaced and fused in my upper spine, 15 years ago. Of course, I listened to the instructions for after care and followed them to the letter. I have had no problems with my neck in 15 years!!! I was originally told that without the surgery, I would not be walking in a years time. As a single mother, this was very frightening. Dr. Sullivan, was warm, wonderful and informative. He put me at ease and made it sound less threatening. The surgery went off without a single problem and I am here today to tell you that I have recommended him to many friends and family over the years. Dr. Sullivan is courteous, kind, and a great surgeon. My cervical fusion went very well. Every option was explained in detail. His assistant Kelci is beyond exceptional....responsive and so helpful. Highly recommend this office, and I have referred many family/friends

Dr. Sullivan has been one of the most responsive and caring physicans I have had the pleasure of interacting with. Recently he had staff contact me directly when the company's phone system was not working properly. Years ago he helped my daughter during his lunch time. No only was his diagnosis perfect, but his kindness and humor were beyond any expectations. He is not only a stellar doctor, but a lovely human being. Dr. Brian Sullivan is a genius! In Jan of 2017, I underwent a lumbar fusion (S1, L5, L4) with Dr. Sullivan. Due to a water skiing accident lumbar trauma in 1980, deterioration , and aging, I was unable to walk without pain/difficulty in 2016. I am 76 years old. Because of his expertise and the excellent attention of his staff, I am walking great and suffering no pain. Expect not to see Dr. Sullivan except upon initial interview and before surgery. He will not prove to be your best buddy, but he will prove to be your best surgeon. His surgery, office and medical support are all 5-star. Dr. Sullivan was exceptionally understanding and helpful as my husband wrestled with surgery for spinal stenosis. Dr. Sullivan and his team skillfully completed the procedure and followed up with calls checking on the patient. While I hope not to call on him again, I would not consider spine surgery with anyone else. He was great!

After a nightmare of experience from my 1st neck fusion surgery in 2012 i swore id never go through it again. But i incurred alot of issues along the way and had to go back and have the first one fixed and the next level down done. Dr sullivan and his staff were top notch and i couldn't have asked for a bettee recovery. Im was doing better at 1 week post op this 2nd surgery than i was at a month the first time. Years and years of low back pain until seeing Dr Sullivan Maryland Brain and Spine I was in so much pain I describe it as INCREDIBLE after being professionally treated by Dr Sharma and Simi of the pain mgmt group more had to be done with Prayers and the hands of Dr Sullivan and Wendy his patients assistant surgery had to be done April 13 2017 since then my healing process has gone as well as can be and I must say that the pain is gone...Dr Sullivan explains and preps his patients so well you feel so relaxed and ready...Dr Brian Sullivan Maryland Brain and Spine is the best. I had two back fusions in 2007. I have been without pain all these years! Dr. Sullivan is by far the best back surgeon around! Thank you Dr. Sullivan!

I can't possibly say enough positive things about Dr. Sullivan. He operated on my brother's lumbar spine years ago and 2 levels of my C-spine last year. I was in agony for months after a fall down the stairs. My brother's surgery and mine was 100% successful. We did both go dedicate ourselves to out P/T. Its been 2 years and I feel like I never had an injury at all. He is an amazing surgeon, plus he and his staff are friendly, timely and professional. I just referred my fianc? to him.

In 2011 my then early sixties husband was crawling to the bathroom at night on his elbows and knees, in a great deal of backpain. Our GP had the MRI, made an appointment for next day with Dr Sullivan, who had a cancellation two days after that. At AMMC outpatient surgical center, he was wheeled into surgery and 45 minutes later Dr Sullivan was standing at my chair telling me all went well and he could go home in an hour. The results were spectacular. Neighbors still talk about the total change

Dr Sullivan was highly recommended to me for my lumbar surgery and he seemed miffed that I had consulted other physicians first. Imagine my surprise when I was told my back was so bad that I only has a a 65% chance to be improved with a multi-level fusion procedure and he would not operate on me. I had been to another neurosurgeon for a consultation and was given a quite different prognosis and surgical option I was stunned with his abrupt and undiplomatic demenour.
