Rude people that make you feel stupid for asking questions. Not helpful even though I was kind. I’ve worked in customer service, both restaurant and pharmacy and I know what it’s like to have bad days and deal with mean people and have a lot of stress from patients. But the ladies who run this office are not professional nor helpful and are seriously lacking in empathy or at least a bit of emotional intelligence. They could never give a clear answer on how much the procedure would cost even though I asked multiple times. You have to ask the exact question to pry it out of them. You are better off trying to get the insurance codes out of them and talking to your insurance yourself. Their estimate was “$500”. They said they would give me a better estimate towards the appointment date when they would run it through insurance. The day before the appointment, they called and gave me the same “$500”. We did not go through with it because it was very sketchy. $500 for 4 wisdom teeth? A few days after the appointment was to occur, my insurance website showed a claim where my out of pocket was $1500. Nowhere near $500, and I am so glad we did not go through with it. They never ran it through insurance until the last minute and expected me to just show up with no financial information. They know what they are doing, SCAMMING people who are UNAWARE and do not know how insurance works. I just got the procedure done at DR. ANTON’s office in WEBSTER, and they were very up front with an ITEMIZED, clear bill with exactly how much insurance would pay and how much I would pay. I could even see the claim BEFORE my appointment. The staff was a lot friendlier too. One good thing from this experience with Brian Schaulin’s office, I have learned to advocate for myself, to be persistent, and not take risks with money and insurance. So thank you for that. I waited to write this review until I knew I never had to interact with these people again. To begin with, this review is not on Dr. Schaulin himself, as he is a great doctor with good bedside manner, and my surgery recovery went smoothly. My bad experiences came from his staff. I got my wisdom teeth removed in Dec 2021. The week before surgery, I was told by a woman over the phone that I would need prophylactic antibiotics. I go to pick them up from pharmacy 3-4 days before surgery, but they are not there. It takes a while and a few phone calls to get the office to send the prescription over again and I am told over the phone by lady from the office (who is not a pharmacist) "I think you take 4 pills the morning of the surgery".... What do you mean "you think????" No instructions on how to prep for surgery, when to be NPO by, etc. So I have to call again and confirm NPO by midnight, etc and am given no further instructions on how to prepare for surgery. Now, I am a nursing student who has had surgeries in the past so I know a general idea of what to do, but they cant expect everyone to know pre-op instructions??? The morning of the surgery, I take 4 antibiotics (btw the pill bottle came with 30 tablets and said "take 1x a day"... like that is not correct at all). When I get to the office, a staff member asks if i've had anything to drink. I tell her a sip of water with my antibiotics. This girl looks at me like I am crazy for drinking one sip of water when I was literally told I could to take these pills? Then I get in the chair, they start taking vitals. The lady I talked to over the phone looks at me and says, "Guess you didn't get the memo on wearing short sleeves"... Like ma'am I was given ZERO instructions from you and had to call the office myself multiple times to begin with!!! Just absolutely rude. When coming out of anesthesia, that same lady says to me, "you know you snore right?" and I just begin to sob at how horrible these people are. They then give verbal instructions to my boyfriend who wasn't even available to care for me during the entire recovery process. They need to give WRITTEN instructions to their patients. Any other surgery center gives pre and post-op information weeks in advance. Fun fact: due to my horrible experience here, I am set to begin my nursing career in the operating room, where I will NEVER make my patients feel as unprepared and unsafe as this place has. I recently got my top wisdom taken teeth out. Dr Shaulin and his staff are awesome, they do everything to make you feel comfortable. Dr Shaulin is so good he didn’t leave a bruise on my hand from the IV and I didn’t have to take any pain medicine!

I would give 100 stars if I could. Dr. Schaulin is the nicest Doctor I have come across in my life and I’m 37. He was so polite, he listened to my orthos plan, he gave great options and really explained the truth in such a gentle way. His office was able to set my surgery ( extractions ) within 48 hours. All of the staff was extra polite, the anesthesia didn’t hurt and it didn’t make me sick. The office was very informative, very gentle, very helpful and I honestly don’t have any pain. I was able to attend my daughters track meet and cook dinner for my family as I watched my Toddler the exact day of surgery. I recommend Dr. Schaulin for his honesty, bedside manner, thorough work, organization and personality. 10 out of 10. I really had an amazing experience! I would give 100 stars if I could. My experience at Dr. Schaulin’s office has always been a positive one. He is a very skilled oral surgeon and has an incredible patient to doctor relationship. Thank you Dr. Schaulin!

Dr Schaulin does a good job. However, I have had an awful, underwhelming experience with the staff! No one should have to go through this! My daughter had arranged to get her wisdom teeth extracted on 1/4/21. We arrived at Dr. Schaulin’s office and the Debbie at the front desk was very unfriendly, short and uncooperative. This was my first time meeting her or I most certainly would not have allowed my daughter to have her surgery done there as I read a lot into how we get treated at an establishment. Debbie insisted on charging $917.40 from the primary insurance immediately or my daughter could not have her teeth extracted that morning. My gut instinct said RUN but I knew my daughter needed to get this done and had mentioned how comfortable Dr. Schaulin made her feel so I caved in. Debbie was unwilling to run the secondary insurance through the system and insisted that I file a claim to get reimbursed. I actually had to call my secondary insurance and tell Debbie that it is a REQUIREMENT for in-network providers to run the secondary insurance electronically. Even the Delta Dental representative was appalled at the situation and said she had never heard of that. The surgery went well and my daughter has recovered but regrettably I’m still having to deal with Debbie as she is unwilling to provide a refund using the EOB (as all other Dentists do) until she receives a check from my Delta Dental secondary insurance. Now, she is insisting on charging us the difference between the primary insurance patient balance and the secondary insurance’s and does not seem to know that she has to go by ONLY the final balance on the secondary insurance EOB. Whew, It is so exhausting having to deal with this character!! She constantly talks over me and I can hardly get a word in when I get a hold of her. It’s a real shame how an excellent oral surgeon or other professional can lose business simply because of toxic front desk personnel. Needless to say, I will not EVER go back to Dr. Schaulin’s office or recommend it to anyone based on the very unpleasant and draining experience with this front desk personnel! All the ladies are so sweet & on point. Dr. S is very cool & personable. No need to have any anxiety, they will get you taken care of. Just do what’s asked & follow his instructions. Also, ALWAYS FINISH YOUR ANTIBIOTICS!

My experience with Brian Schaulin and his front office and back office staff was outstanding. Everyone was knowledgeable and helpful. I am very happy that I found him from a referral 7 years ago. I don't go anywhere else for Implants. It is all about trust and I trust everyone that works there.

Dr Schaulin and staff are excellent! They are very friendly and professional. Dr Schaulin is an excellent surgeon! The procedure was painless and the sedation made it very comfortable and easy. I highly recommended Dr Schaulin and his office!

I just got my wisdom teeth out here, and Dr. Schaulin and his staff made sure the entire experience was as easy for me as possible. I was very well informed about the procedure, and Dr. Schaulin got the IV in my hand on the first try, and numbed my hand before it too, which nearly made me cry with relief, because my last IV experience combined with my phobia of needles had me terrified. Everyone is extremely friendly and kind and I cannot recommend them enough. Dr. Schaulin and his staff are wonderful! They treat their patients with the best care and I've never felt like a number there. The front office staff is helpful & always kind. And Dr. Schaulin is not only a talented oral surgeon but also personable! His office is always our first choice for our dental needs!

I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed today and I was extremely nervous. Staff did a phenomenal job calming me and performing the surgery. When I got back home, I was up and walking around within a few hours! On top of that, the pain is extremely minimal and is currently decreasing. I've had my wisdom teeth removed from Dr. Schaulin. He and his staff are so lovely and kind they make sure to go the extra mile to take care of you. My family and friends have gone to them as well and had the same wonderful results. Dr Schaulin did a good job but I had an AWFUL UNDERWHELMING EXPERIENCE WITH FRONT OFFICE STAFF! No one should have to go through this! My daughter had to get her wisdom teeth extracted on 1/4/21. Upon arrival, Debbie at the front desk was very unfriendly, short and uncooperative and insisted on charging $917.40 from the primary insurance immediately or my daughter could not have her teeth extracted. Been a happy patient with everyone in the office including the doctor. Everyone is nice and professional. Recommend them to anyone that ask.

The doctor and all the staff were friendly and supportive. Would recommend this office to anyone that ask.

Dr. Schaulin has removed the wisdom teeth of my two daughters, and has put an implant in place for one of them. He is very professional, all the procedures were completed in less that 1 hour and he followed up with calls for a few days. The office staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Schaulin is great, horrible experience with staff.

I had my consultation with Dr. Schaulin about a month ago to discuss removing my wisdom teeth and everything was great; the day of my surgery though it was far from great. My apt time was Friday July, 6th at 10:30am I had to wait 30 min past my scheduled time before I was taken to the back. Once I was taken to the back I informed Dr. Schaulin that I was a "hard stick" when it comes to getting a vein, and I notified him of where my doctors usually have luck getting a good vein. He insisted on starting with the opposite arm of which I told him because "he is right handed so he prefers the right hand to start with", I was stuck in my hand, then in the crease of my right arm neither of which he could get a vein. He then moved to my left arm, still disregarding my suggestion of where in my left arm I stated was a good spot to try. He then stuck me again, this time it was extremely painful and after this he refused to try anymore, still not attempting at the spot where I told him my other doctors have luck. He informs me that we will have to reschedule my appointment (which it took me 3 weeks to get this one) and hopefully we'll have better luck next time, and that "I was just severely dehydrated" Mind you I was instructed not to eat or drink anything past midnight as it "can be life threatening" He stated when I reschedule we will schedule for an 8am apt or so and for me to drink lots of water around 2am (6hrs prior to my surgery) and that should help. He still didn't listen to me at all when I told him of previous encounters that regardless of how much water I drink and how hydrated I am it is still hard to find a vein. I am extremely disappointed in my experience today with his office, and I will not be rescheduling with him. I have now wasted several vacation days for work, and also lost pay from not working as well (because I am off 5 days) If I was a student in school and off for the summer this wouldn't be such a big deal, but being a working adult it is not so easy getting the time off. The person who was accompanying me also had to take off of work as well for this (since I am unable to be at the apt alone); we have a shared income so this is a pretty hard hit missing all of this work only being told we have to reschedule. Also my teeth are going to continue to crowd and cause me pain as my wisdom teeth are steadily pushing in. This is also going to cause a delay in having a cavity fixed that is located right against a partially erupted wisdom tooth as well because my regular dentist wasn't sure of how bad the cavity actually is until my wisdom teeth are removed. Great doctor, very friendly and knowledgeable. All my kids really like him! Their wisdom teeth recovery was quicker than expected and very minimal to no swelling. Thank you!!

I highly recommend Dr. Shaulin to anyone needing oral surgery. I was very anxious about having a tooth removed and Dr. Shaulin saw that. He told me everything that was going to happen and what to look out for after surgery. Everything went smooth and any time I have had questions he is quick to respond and very informative.

We used Dr. Brian Schaulin for our oldest son to have his wisdom teeth removed! Fantastic surgeon and my son did great! Thanks Dr. Schaulin for taking care of my son!!! We highly recommend Dr. Schaulin to anybody looking for a very caring surgeon!!!

Dr Schaulin and his staff made me feel very comfortable. I had a rough procedure but he was there to help all the way.
