Dr. McKinley is a VERY compassionate, caring, understanding and supportive doctor that REALLY knows how to “listen” and do for you what you REALLY NEED not always what you want thank goodness!! But I’ve been going to him for probably about 10yrs or more and has NEVER EVER let me leave feeling hopeless!!! He is a very soft spoken, gentle man. These kind are very few and far between!!

Dr McKinley takes the time to listen to my concerns. He is an excellent physician and down to earth human being. I recommend him most highly.

Dr McKinley is caring, explains things very well and very on top of the latest research. I had to wait 1 year to get into him and can say he’s worth the wait!! 5 thumbs up!!

I originally left a good review, but after moving I've had a much different experience. Dr. McKinley knew I would be moving for over a year and we talked about how he would help me manage my transition. Once I moved though, he refused to refill my prescriptions without another appointment even though my new insurance didn't cover his office. Luckily, I was able to get my primary care doctor to refill my prescriptions that he had nothing to do with for me. I've also been called my the mayo pharmacy to complain that he refuses to fill out my prior authorization paperwork and now the office even refuses to answer their call or to return their voicemail messages. Extremely unprofessional behavior that puts the patient at risk. I originally left a good review, but after moving I've had a much different experience. Every Dr should be like Dr McKinley. He is an angel. I have a disease that has no cure, but he is trying to give me a good quality of life to live through it. Doctor McKinley is the absolute best! He always makes me feel comfortable and completely explains to me my labs and what to expect from my treatment. I have been seeing Dr. McKinley for several years now and he is the best! He always takes the time to answer questions and explain things! Love him and trust him! So lucky to have him as my Rheumatologist!

I am beyond blessed to have found this doctor. So many doctors today are so quick to come in the room either diagnose you with something or blow off your concerns. This doctor actually spent the time thoroughly checking out my issues out. Started running test to try to get answers to help me. More doctors need to be like him. This office is well worth the hour and 15 minute drive and I highly recommend his office staff as well as him.

Dr McKinley is a wonderful doctor! He spent an hour going over my husbands records, asking us lots of questions & Truly listened to us. He respected our choice on not taking pharmaceuticals drugs & was willing to work with my husbands functional heart doctor. Previous rheumatologist refused to work with our heart doctor. Dr. McKinley explained in laymen terms how to get rid of the Gout & the time involved to reach this goal. No other doctor helped us or explained things like he did! Dr. McKinley is a fantastic doctor. He is concerned about my RA as well as the rest of my health. He makes sure my medications are not causing problems for each other or my other conditions. I like him so much that my husband is also a patient of his now.

Impressed!! Took the time to listen and read labs (by others) so I understood. Mind you they didn’t even do that for me. Extremely knowledgeable!! I left feeling, “WOW” now that’s a Dr. that genuinely cares and feeling confident, finally!! I have honestly not felt that way about a DR in years, it was truly disheartening. Faith restored!!

Dr. M is one of the good ones. He actually saved my daughter's life, and called her on a Sunday to discuss imaging findings. He has been treating me for years and I would highly, highly recommend this Dr. He is good people. The office staff is pleasant also.

Since our move to Florida, I have had the privilege of Dr. McKinley's services as my Rheumatologist. I have Menieres Disease and he has always exercised the most patient and careful observation with my speech, which at times can be difficult to understand. He has been the most thorough physician I have ever had. His expertise in his field of medicine has always came across with his confidence and ability to treat the level of my arthritis conservatively and rule out more serious issues. When I leave the office I feel calm and know he addressed the current issue and any concerns with that issue as necessary. He is the best Rheumatologist I've ever had. Very courteous and friendly doctor. Have been to see him 2 times, very prompt and timely with appointments. Listens to all you have to say while doing the examinations. Was definitely worth the waiting list time. Wish all my doctors were just this way!!!!

Completely misdiagnosed my wife and told her that she just had Fibromyalgia. When, she actually had ovarian cancer. Maybe next time the good doctor will order some additional tests for the next patient.
